As a mathematician and physicist with a deep interest in Eastern philosophy, Peter Russell has spent much of his career in search of a bridge between science and spirituality and arrived at consciousness while continuing an ongoing journey in discovering the magical nature of consciousness !

In this 4-part audio series he presents a concept that provides that bridge ― by cogently exploring how external reality (defined as space/time/matter) is but a manifestation of consciousness.

Particularly exciting is Peter’s straightforward illumination of spiritual principles (such as “I AM God”) within the context of his scientific discourse, so that many classical but esoteric truisms actually begin to make sense.

Peter Russel helps us understand what it means to know 'Consciousness As God' !

Here is an excerpt from his book 'From Science To God' ... Chapter 7 : Consciousness As God ....

To many, the statement "I am God" rings of blasphemy. God, according to conventional religion, is the supreme deity, the almighty eternal omniscient creator. How can any lowly human being claim that he or she is God?

When the fourteenth-century Christian priest and mystic Meister Eckhart preached that "God and I are One" he was brought before Pope John XXII and forced to "recant everything that he had falsely taught." Others suffered a worse fate. The tenth-century Islamic mystic al-Hallãj was crucified for using language that claimed an identity with God.

Yet when mystics say "I am God," or words to that effect, they are not talking of an individual person. Their inner explorations have revealed the true nature of the self, and it is this that they identify with God. They are claiming that the essence of self, the sense of "I am" without any personal attributes, is God.

The contemporary scholar and mystic Thomas Merton put it very clearly:

If I penetrate to the depths of my own existence and my own present reality, the indefinable am that is myself in its deepest roots, then through this deep center I pass into the infinite I am which is the very Name of the Almighty.

"I am" is one of the Hebrew names of God, Yahweh. Derived from the Hebrew YHWH, the unspeakable name of God, it is often translated as "I AM THAT I AM."

Similar claims appear in Eastern traditions. The great Indian sage Sri Ramana Maharshi said:

"I am" is the name of God… God is none other than the Self.

In the twelfth century, Ibn-Al-Arabi, one of the most revered Sufi mystics, wrote:

If thou knowest thine own self, thou knowest God.

Shankara, the eight-century Indian saint, whose insights revitalized Hindu teachings, said of his own enlightenment:

I am Brahman… I dwell within all beings as the soul, the pure consciousness, the ground of all phenomena... In the days of my ignorance, I used to think of these as being separate from myself. Now I know that I am All.

This sheds new light on the Biblical injunction "Be still, and know that I am God." I do not believe it means:: "Stop fidgeting around and recognize that the person who is speaking to you is the almighty God of all creation." It makes much more sense as an encouragement to still the mind, and know, not as an intellectual understanding but as a direct realization, that the "I am" that is your essential self, the pure consciousness that lies behind all experience, is God.

This concept of God is not of a separate superior being, existing in some other realm, overlooking human affairs and loving or judging us according to our deeds. God is in each and every one of us, the most intimate and undeniable aspect of ourselves. God is the light of consciousness that shines in every mind.

I Am the Truth

Identifying God with the light of consciousness brings new meaning and significance to many traditional descriptions of God.

Whatever is taking place in my mind, whatever I may be thinking, believing, feeling or sensing, the one thing I cannot doubt is consciousness. Consciousness is my only absolute, unquestionable truth. If the faculty of consciousness is God, then God is the truth.

The same applies to other people. The only thing I do not doubt about you is that you are conscious and have your own interior world of experience. I can doubt your physical form–indeed, modern physics tells me there is nothing really there, no material thing, that is. All that I perceive of you is a projection in my mind. I can doubt what you say. I can doubt your thoughts and feelings. But I do not doubt that "in there" is another conscious being like myself.

Like God, consciousness is omnipresent. Whatever our experience, consciousness is always there. It is eternal, everlasting.

God is omniscient, all-knowing. So too, consciousness is the essence and source of all our knowing. It lies behind all understanding.

God is the creator. Everything in our world, everything we see, hear, taste, smell, and touch; every thought, feeling, fantasy, intimation, hope, and fear; it is all a form that consciousness has taken on. Everything has been created in consciousness from consciousness. I, the light of consciousness, am the creator.

Prayer

In every moment I have a choice as to how I see a situation. I can see it through eyes caught in the materialist mindset that worries whether or not I am going to get what I think will make me happy. Alternatively, I can choose to see it through eyes free from the dictates of this thought system.

But it is not always easy to make that choice. Once I’ve been caught by a fearful perception, I’m seldom aware there could even be another way of seeing things. I think my reality is the only reality.

Sometimes, however, I recognize there could be another way of seeing things, but I don’t know what it is. I can’t make the shift on my own; I need help. But where to go for help? Other people are as likely to be caught in the same thought system as I am. The place to go for help is deep within, to that level of consciousness that lies beyond the materialistic mindset–to the God within. I have to ask God for help. I have to pray.

When I pray in this way, I am not asking for divine intervention by an external God. I am praying to the divine presence within, to my true self. Moreover, I am not praying for the world to be different than it is. I am praying for a different perception of the world. I am asking for divine intervention where it really counts–in the mindsets that govern my thinking.

The results never cease to impress me. Invariably, I find my fears and judgments drop away. In their place is a sense of ease. Whoever or whatever was troubling me, I now see through more loving and compassionate eyes.

God is Love. Love is another quality frequently ascribed to God. This love is not to be confused with what generally passes for love in our world, which, more often than not, has its origins in the same materialist mindset that runs many other areas of our lives. We believe that if only other people would think or behave as we want them to, we would be happy. When they don’t, we may find ourselves feeling upset, angry, frustrated, or some other less-than-loving emotion. When we meet someone who we think will satisfy our deeper needs–someone, that is, who matches our image of the perfect person–our hearts are filled with warm feelings towards them. We say we love them. Such love is conditional. We love a person for their appearance, their manner, their intellect, their body, their talents, their smell, their dress, their habits, their beliefs and values. We love someone whom we feel is special; someone who matches our expectations, someone who will satisfy our deeper needs, someone who will make our life complete. Such love is also fragile. If the other person gains weight, develops some annoying habit, or does not care for us as we think they should, our judgments can flip from positive to negative, and the love vanish as quickly as it came. The love of which the mystics speak is a very different form of love. It is an unconditional love, a love that does not depend on another’s attributes or actions. It is not based on our wants, needs, hopes, fears, or any other manifestation of the ego’s thought system. Unconditional love is the love that springs forth when the mind has fallen silent, and for once we are free from fear, evaluation and judgment. Like the peace we seek, this unconditional love is always there at our core. It is not something we have to create; it is part of our inner essence. Pure consciousness–consciousness not conditioned by the needs and concerns of an individual self–is pure love. I, in my true essence, am love.

The magic of synchronicity is experienced by each one us as we choose our experiences moment to moment, shaping our reality consciously through the power of thoughts and intent. It's how we feel gives us a certain signature frequency or specific state of vibration which attracts like frequencies through events, subtle signs as we move through our daily routine ... Consciousness is the underlying fabric of our experienced reality and with a little conscious awareness of this interwoven nature of thought and manifestation we will begin to consciously create our reality.

This is one of her enlightening articles on Synchronicity !

What is Synchronicity ?

I was asked this question yesterday and decided to delve into its answer a little more deeply. My initial response was the following: Synchronicity is the process whereby our energy flows easily and beautifully and attracts to us all the ideal people and events that provide the perfect opportunity for growth. Awareness is key! There are no coincidences. Things, people, and circumstances come into our path for a reason. Synchronicity is the outward manifestation of our thoughts brought to us by our soul, linking and connecting us with others or with events that serve as meaningful opportunities that we have attracted into our experience to assist us in gaining clarity or evolving in some way.

The question lingered in my mind and I wanted to go a little deeper and provide more information on this powerful subject. Synchronicity and Serendipity are two of my favorite words! They represent the invisible, underlying spiritual workings of the Universe. There is a magical quality to these incidents that reminds us that there is something much grander going on behind the seeming coincidences that enter our experience. They can be perceived as signs that serve to offer awareness, awaken us, or inspire us in the unfolding of our spiritual destiny. They appear as two seemingly disconnected events that are actually beautifully interconnected in a divine way.

Each day we encounter meaningful synchronistic events that we have attracted and created (many times unconsciously) into our physical experience. Our souls create synchronistic incidents to be played out in the physical. We have all heard the expression, “There are no accidents.” From my personal perspective, this is absolutely true. All that we experience is by divine design. There are no accidents, just synchronicity wheels in motion. When we open to these events, they can help us make choices in our lives, because they are a form of guidance from the Universe. They aren’t always profound, but they ARE meaningful and represent the inner workings and guidance of the Universe.

Here are a couple of examples of synchronicity at work: A friend of mine was wondering whether or not he should follow through on his decision to get a divorce. He turned on the radio and heard an ad for available apartments. He smiled inside, embraced the soul sign being given, and knew what he needed to do. Another example would be thinking of a friend and receiving a phone call from that friend at that exact same time or watching a movie and seeing within the story of that film a metaphor for your own life situation. There are unlimited examples of this beautiful inter-connectedness of energy and matter/form/physical experience.

To quote Deepak Chopra:

“My own life has been touched often by synchronicity, so much so that now I get on an airplane expecting the passenger in the next seat to be surprisingly important to me, either just the voice I need to hear to solve a problem or a missing link in a transaction that needs to come together….

… I believe that all coincidences are messages from the unmanifest – they are like angels without wings, so to speak, sudden interruptions of life by a deeper level …. “

Often these meaningful coincidences occur at critical points in our lives, and they can be interpreted as containing the seeds of future growth. Synchronistic events really involve the meaningful unfoldment of potential. They are often associated with periods of transformation; for example, births, deaths, falling in love, intense creative work, or even a change of career/profession. It is as if this internal restructuring and/or mental energy produces external opportunities for us outward into the physical world.

In conclusion, I feel that synchronicity offers a beautiful bridge between our inner reality and the divine workings of spirit and our external reality that is revealed to us through our experiences. When we recognize these incidents as opportunities, life becomes VERY interesting! There is a sense of intrigue coupled with amusement when we start seeing things in new ways that broaden our perspective and engage our powers of manifestation with even greater intensity.

Go out and there enjoy this beautiful day and pay attention to the seemingly random coincidences that enter your experience. Challenge yourself to detect the deeper meaning to the divine patterns and find value in what is being offered to you! Be open to new perspectives and allow your mind its full, creative potential!

Much love,
Cari

Ayahuasca, the holy sacrament which the indigenous people and Shamans of the Amazon have known as a powerful holistic purgative medicine capable of great healing and transformation for thousands of years. The film 'Other Worlds : A Journey Into The Heart Of Shipibo Shamanism' by Jan Kounen primarily shows the therapeutic power of the Shamans and their plant teachers. This power is a type of ancestral psychoanalysis or human psychotherapy backed by 4,000 years of experience and practice.

Ayahuasca is a powerful purgative and curative mixture which is used by the shamans of the Amazon to commune with the spirits, who then oversee the healing of the person who drinks the Ayahuasca brew, while the shaman guides the healing session and appeals to the spirits on behalf of his client.

Amazonian shaman, Javier Arevalo, who serves the community of Nuevo Progreso had a patient who was HIV positive and had been in hospital a fortnight. Javier says, “That night we drank Ayahuasca and I saw in my vision that HIV was like the devil destroying him and that he was getting worse.

“He stuck to the Ayahuasca diet for two months and he also took bitter tasting herbs which cure internal wounds. After three times [three Ayahuasca sessions] he was better and, when tested, proved HIV negative”.

The Pulitzer Price-nominated author, John Perkins, who has written extensively about Ayahuasca usage among the Shuar Indians of Ecuador, has confirmed other ‘miraculous’ healings. “During the ten years we have been taking people to meet the shamans, there have been a number of remarkable stories”, he says4 – among them, cures for deafness, depression, weight loss, as well as endless accounts of life changes and new visions for a different personal and social future.

Other Worlds : A Journey Into The Heart Of Shipibo Shamanism

The brew blended in careful measure, contains Ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) and leaves of the chacruna plant (Psychotria viridis), often with datura and pure jungle tobacco, which cause the purging qualities that ayahuasca is famous for. The final mixture is also known as ayahuasca, from the Quechua words, aya meaning ‘spirit’ or ‘dead’, and huasca meaning ‘rope’ or ‘vine’. Hence, the brew is often referred to as the ‘vine of souls’ or the ‘rope of the dead’.

It is prepared by cutting the vines into short lengths which are then scraped, cleaned and pounded to a brown pulp. The vines, along with chacruna leaves and other ingredients are then placed in a cauldron, water is added, and the entire mixture is boiled for 10-12 hours, overseen at all stages by the shaman who will continuously blow sacred tobacco smoke into and over the brew. When ready, the mix becomes a muddy, pungent liquid with a foul, acrid taste.

Once ingested, the mixture produces initial feelings of warmth which spread up from the stomach, creating a sense of well-being and a sensation of skin elasticity, almost as if the skin has become rubber-like and pliable and no longer separate from the air around it. After this first phase, which may last 30-60 minutes, the visionary effects begin, which are often dramatic. Harvard ethnobotanist, Wade Davis, in his book, One River1, described the sensation as akin to being “shot out of a gun barrel lined with Baroque paintings, and landing in a sea of electricity”.

Visions of snakes and vines in bright primary colours are very common but, for the trained shamanic eye, information on the illnesses and diseases which inhabit his client’s bodies are also expected. It is these visions which enable him, and the spirit of ayahuasca, to heal his clients.

Conceptual thinking is a limited tool when one truly attempts to develop one’s consciousness. Indeed, human consciousness has a natural tendency to identify with thoughts and reason - stopping there. Shamans use a technology or an outside element, generally consisting of sacred plants. Using powerful psychotropic substances, the Shamans guide individuals, enabling them to “peel away” consciousness from thoughts and reason. The subconscious is gradually unveiled. During these experiences, a different reality appears and is observed through the prism of our consciousness.

The film depicts the Shamanic culture and their underlying belief systems which stem from their knowledge of the Invisible.

"The objective of this documentary is to impress upon viewers that these little-known Indians developed veritable cognitive technology through their own sciences of the spirit, thousands of years ago. To me, these men are warriors in the battle to unlock the mysteries of consciousness. Shamans consider the greatest ally and the worst enemy of every individual to be one and the same… himself or herself."

Merkaba is our light body, an inter-dimensional time travel vehicle, a sort of UFO, which is self created within the energy field, using concepts of Sacred Geometry. The Merkaba is 2 counter-rotating fields of light generated from the spinning of specific geometric forms.

The star tetrahedron is the primary shape of the Merkaba. Drunvalo Melchizedek (Flower of Life workshops), states that the first eight cells of our being, of all cellular beings, form the star tetrahedron, and those original eight cells remain at the base of the spine.

The star tetrahedron shape is the geometric foundation of our energy field. This geometry is viewed around and interpenetrating the physical body, but usually remains inactive unless consciously activated.

Technically, the Merkaba is the geometry of light. Once activated, the geometry of light, described in terms of sacred geometry shapes known as the Platonic solids, is a “vehicle” of light. This vehicle activates a field of light that can extend around the body for a distance of 55 feet. When this field is reactivated and spinning properly, it is called a Merkaba. A fully activated Merkaba looks like the structure of a galaxy or UFO.

In his books, researcher and physicist Drunvalo Melchizedek describes this figure as a "Star Tetrahedron", since it can be viewed as a three dimensional Star of David. By imagining two superimposed "Star Tetrahedrons" as counter rotating, along with specific "prana" breathing techniques, certain eye movements and mudras, it is taught that one can activate a non-visible 'saucer' shaped energy field around the human body that is anchored at the base of the spine. Here is an article by Drunvalo Melchizedek ... History has talked about the Mer-Ka-Ba mostly as the vehicle that allows a person to ascend or descend into the higher or lower worlds. But actually the Mer-Ka-Ba is much more than just a vehicle of ascension. It can be, really, anything — since it is the primal pattern that created all things and all universes, both visible and invisible (see The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, volumes I & II). In the Bible there is reference to Ezekiel and the wheels by which Ezekiel ascended into heaven. This was the Mer-Ka-Ba. In the Torah, there is reference to the Merkavah (as it is spelled in Hebrew) which has two different meanings: One meaning is ''chariot,'' which is a vehicle; the other is the ''Throne of God.'' When the two definitions are combined, the true meaning comes to life. In Ancient Egypt, this primal pattern was called the Mer-Ka-Ba. It was actually three words, not one. Mer meant a kind of light that rotated within itself. Ka meant spirit, in this case referring to the human spirit. And Ba meant the human body — though it also could mean the concept of Reality that spirit holds. And so the entire word in ancient Egypt referred to a rotating light that would take the spirit and the body from one world into another. I once spent a couple of hours with Credo Mutwa, the spiritual leader of the Zulu tribe in Africa. He explained to me that Merkaba (one word) was a Zulu word meaning a space/time/dimension vehicle. He told me that according to Zulu legend his entire tribe had come from another dimension here to Earth using the Merkaba. In the modern world there are teachers worldwide — and I am one of them — who are helping people remember the Mer-Ka-Ba. Thus begin a process in consciousness that will eventually translate us from the third-dimensional world into the next higher one through what is being called 'ascension'.  Ascension involves a process where the human body is transformed into light and translated by an incredible birth into a new world. It is achieved through a meditation that requires the mind, heart, body, and spirit to completely integrate in one pattern of light and transcend the human limitations of this reality. This concept of the Mer-Ka-Ba as an ascension vehicle is not new. It is very, very old. What actually is the Mer-Ka-Ba? Technically, it is an electro-magnetic field sitting at about four degrees Kelvin, found primarily within the microwave range — at least in the third dimension — that is entirely geometric in nature. Specifically, the geometry used is called ''Sacred Geometry,'' as this particular geometry is found in the creation patterns of all things in Creation. The Mer-Ka-Ba field is extremely complex, involving the five Platonic solids and other sacred polyhedrons. It is believed to extend through all possible dimensional and parallel universes, and can possibly change its nature from electro-magnetic to whatever is appropriate. The blueprint of the Mer-Ka-Ba is found throughout nature, such as in this photo of a galaxy. One of the functions of the Mer-Ka-Ba, as we said, is to act as the vehicle to take the spirit and the body into the next world. However, this function — and most of the other possibilities — is impossible to obtain until something changes within the person. The Mer-Ka-Ba is situated around the human body like a three dimensional geometric web that is dormant and nonfunctional, waiting for the right moment. When the spirit that inhabits the body remembers that it is there and begins to change certain aspects of itself, an incredible transformation begins to grow. It was believed in ancient times, and even written about by the Hebrews, that the Merkavah could be turned on by certain principles in meditation. This involves breathing changes, and mind, heart, and body changes that alter the way a person perceives the Reality. From my perspective, it is the beginning of ''Enlightenment.''       And yet it is clear that the Mer-Ka-Ba can also be ''activated,'' as the New Agers say, by other methods beside the male-style instructions using the breathing changes mentioned above. It can also become functional through methods that are purely female. Through the true living of qualities such as love, faith, trust, truth, and compassion, the Mer-Ka-Ba can spontaneously become alive. In other words, very pure human character can translate into a living Mer-Ka-Ba field around the person, even if that person doesn't initially know it is there. And yes, absolutely, the Mer-Ka-Ba is alive. It is a living field, not a purely mechanical field of energy. Because it is a living field, it responds to human thought and feeling, which is the way to connect to the field. So the ''computer'' that guides the Mer-Ka-Ba is the human mind and heart. The possibilities are endless. At a certain and specific moment (not necessarily in this lifetime), a person's Mer-Ka-Ba field can become alive. When this happens, an electro-magnetic change occurs which results in a disc of energy that comes out from a tiny place near the base of the spine and quickly expands to about 27 to 30 feet in radius around the body. This disc can easily be perceived by scientific means, and if the United States Air Force is correct it can be put up on their computer screens via satellite. In other words, the military can see people who activate their Mer-Ka-Bas, and watch as they move around the surface of the Earth. Since the number of people who have done this is now in the millions, it is a fairly common sight now. It is the enormous magnetic burst that results from the disc expanding that brings attention to itself. This can easily be made invisible by people who activate their Mer-ka-Bas, if they so desire. The knowledge of the Mer-Ka-Ba is well known by most of the more powerful governments of the world. I am certain that our government used the Mer-Ka-Ba in the 1943 Philadelphia Experiment and the 1983 Montauk Experiments — in their mind-control experiments and dimensional explorations, and in controlling weather. And I am equally certain that Russia is using the Mer-Ka-Ba in their spy programs and defense systems. But regardless of government experimentation, Mother Earth, the human race, and we as individuals can profit from this understanding and knowledge. The remembering of the Mer-Ka-Ba is unfolding all over the world. From my point of view, this unfoldment is all part of the evolving cosmic DNA. The Mer-Ka-Ba will be remembered now because this is the time to remember. Yes, I believe, as did almost all the ancient civilizations, that there are specific moments in the history of mankind where great jumps in human understanding take place, as in the ancient Sumerian, Egyptian, and Indus Valley civilizations. I truly feel that we have arrived at another one of these grand moments of human history where brilliant light expands around the world, and another huge leap in human consciousness appears. And, my friends, I truly believe, from my own personal experience, that the Mer-Ka-Ba is a doorway or a dimensional window into a higher level of consciousness that could be the catalyst for this great change called ascension.  So, to close, I will say again: Your character is the key to your ascension. Regardless of who you are at this moment, good or bad, you can change your character. Like losing weight, it is completely within your control if you focus. In changing yourself, your Mer-Ka-Ba can become alive. And once it is alive, everything is possible. In what is a milestone and historic event for Brazilian ufology and for ufologists around the world Brazil’s UFO community has gained access to previously classified top secret UFO files.

The UFO community headed by the CBU or Commission of Brazilian Ufologists has been fighting for access to these files for a number of years under freedom of information provisions and appears to have emerged from this battle victorious. This certainly increases the pressure on the US Government and all other governments worldwide who have been withholding amazing life changing technology acquired from reverse engineering downed UFOs or otherwise.

We know UFO technology has been known to modern man since the time of Hitler, when German scientists received telepathic communication from an advanced extraterrestrial civilization who were willing to share this knowledge provided it would be used for peaceful purposes. Germans are also believed to have traveled to India to master the esoteric knowledge such as the art of levitation in the 1940's !

The Government has previously released in stages various files on the topic depending on their level of classification but has now agreed to release files, for the purposes of study, on even the most significant and highly classified UFO events, including the famous and most coveted files of all: the ones pertaining to Brazil’s own ‘Roswell’ incident the 'Varghina affair' as well as the notorious ‘Official Night of the UFOs’.

On this night, back in May of 1986, twenty UFOs were tracked by radar and chased by six military planes. The then minister of Aviation, Brigadier General Otavio Moreira Lima confirmed the event and later went on record stating that he believed humanity would soon make contact with extraterrestrials.

The minister also stated that Brazil had the right to reveal to its population the reality of the existence of aliens if the need arose without America’s permission. He then went on to make the interesting remark that while many people were ready to accept the idea of aliens many were not ready for this kind of information. More on this incident can be read about here on the CBU website.

The CBU has met with senior representatives of the Air Force on a number of occasions. During those meetings the ufologists were able to see and examine but not study in detail the various top-secret files that were presented by the Air Force, including those regarding the 1986 incident.

Already late last year they gained access to the files pertaining to ‘Operation Prato’, an extensive military investigation into widespread UFO incidents in the Amazon. Villagers alleged that they were being attacked and injured by UFOs and even organised night vigils to protect themselves.

Twenty years after this event the Captain in charge of the operation, Uyrange Nogueira was interviewed by a UFO researcher and admitted to witnessing UFOs and being of the opinion aliens were involved. Three weeks later he was found dead, hung by his belt. More on this remarkable incident can be read about here.

Now the ufologists are working on the details of a working relationship with the Air Force that will allow them to permanently access and utilise even these top-secret files as well as collaborate with the military to understand the UFO phenomena.

Rafael Cury, one of the heads of the CBU recently noted that ‘This represents a coming of age for Brazilian ufology’.

Indeed. With the Air Force releasing its UFO files to ufologists and conceding that they don’t understand what the craft involved are and are happy to co-operate to gain an understanding, this event might be the closest any government has come to disclosure. Ufologists around the world will undoubtedly be filled with optimism by these developments.

Fire on the Mountain : A Gathering of Shamans is a documentary about the connection between consciousness and nature, as embodied in the spiritual traditions of Indigenous Peoples, whose ecological metaphors of the sacred are so relevant to the modern world.

The film was co-executive produced by Michael O'Callaghan, President of Global Vision Corporation in London, and Sheldon Rochlin, President of Mystic Fire Video in New York. It was produced and directed by the award-winning filmmaker David Cherniack in Toronto, Canada.

A producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) since 1980, his many documentaries include "Heart of Tibet: An Intimate Portrait of the Dalai Lama", and "Four Noble Truths" (narrated by Richard Gere).

We shot the project in 1997 at an historic 10-day gathering of shamans from five continents, who travelled to Karma Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist retreat centre in the Val Saint Hugon in Savoy, in the French Alps, to discuss their concerns with H.H. the Dalai Lama and high-level representatives of the world's religions.

This documentary embodies the wish of these Indigenous People - all traditional wisdom-keepers, shamans and medicine-women - who requested us to communicate their message to the world.

How deep does the rabbit hole go ? Gnostic Media is proud to present the official online edition of The Pharmacratic Inquisition 2007. If you enjoyed “Zeitgeist - The Movie”, you will love this video; the creators of this video are listed as one of the sources for the Zeitgeist Movie. The Pharmacratic Inquisition 2007 is a video version of the book, “Astrotheology & Shamanism” by Jan Irvin & Andrew Rutajit.

There are two different versions of "The Pharmacratic Inquisition" the first incarnation being a lecture format released in 2004, while the second, "The Online Edition," is a more polished video production and was re-released in 2007. Both are highly recommended.

The painstakingly detailed and heavily footnoted research in the book comes to life in this video and is now available to you for FREE! For further research of the claims made in this video, please read AstroTheology & Shamanism - this book is available to order as a combo with the DVD. Thousands of years ago, in the pre monarchic era, sacred plants and other entheogenic substances where politically correct and highly respected for their ability to bring forth the divine, Yahweh, God, The Great Spirit, etc., by the many cultures who used them. Often the entire tribe or community would partake in the entheogenic rites and rituals.

These rites were often used in initiation into adulthood, for healing, to help guide the community in the decision process, and to bring the direct religious experience to anyone seeking it. In the pre literate world, the knowledge of psychedelic sacraments, as well as fertility rites and astronomical knowledge surrounding the sun, stars, and zodiac, known as astrotheology, were anthropomorphized into a character or a deity; consequently, their stories and practices could easily be passed down for generations.

The Pharmacratic Inquisition Official Online Edition

Weather changes over millenniums caused environmental changes that altered the available foods and plant sacraments available in the local vicinity. If a tribe lost its shamanic El-der (El - God), all of the tribe's knowledge of their plant sacraments as well as astronomical knowledge would be lost. The Church’s inquisitions extracted this sacred knowledge from the local Shamans who were then exterminated. The Pharmacratic Inquisition is over and the great secrets of mankind are about to be revealed to the masses.

William Bloom the author of Orbs Speak (How Beings from Another Dimension are Helping Transform Human Consciousness) which was telepathically communicated, describes the nature and purpose of the beings known as Orbs. In the following essay 'Orbs And Voices In My Head', William shares with us his attitude and feelings about writing a channeled book...

Orbs And Voices In My Head

Give a man a fish ; you have fed him for today.

Teach a man to fish ; and you have fed him for a lifetime.

This well known long-term approach to development supports dignity and freedom. Gestures of charity are replaced with an enduring strategy of friendship and respect, which enables people to support themselves.

This surely is also the best way to approach spirituality. Instead of feeding people beliefs and experiences, our job is to give people the tools and strategies to manage their own spiritual journeys.

The short-term fix can be a life-saver and also very gratifying for the donor’s ego, but in the long-term we all deserve independence and respect.

It was because of this that my parents were hostile to religion and spirituality. They were committed to social justice and human rights, and they thought that religion and spirituality were just superstitious and manipulative ways to stop people thinking and acting for themselves. They were good humanists.

Like many children, however, I was having spiritual experiences from an early age, feeling the wonder and magic of existence. I was also empathic and could easily sense energies and vibrations, occasionally having clear psychic experiences. But because of my parents’ scepticism I could not talk to them about any of this.

They were so hostile to anything religious that when I was twenty-five years old and took a two-year spiritual retreat, my dad was certain that my only motivation for leaving the country was to dodge taxes. For him, tax-dodging was more acceptable than spirituality.

MY INNER PARENTS

For better or for worse – I think for the better – I have had mum and dad in my psyche all through my spiritual journey. They are part of an ongoing internal dialogue in which I explain spiritual ideas to a sceptic or cynic.

Sometimes I entertain myself with the idea that my mum and dad finally understood spirituality shortly after they had died and, astonished, found they were still alive. In fact, I strongly experienced my father coming back to me soon after his death and saying warmly whoops sorry I like it here forgive me I love you.

So, partly because I am their son, I have a careful mind that always monitors my spiritual journey, looking out for the usual daemons of delusion, pomposity, elitism and ignorance. I especially scan for any attitude that might undermine freedom and intelligent enquiry.

A NEW VOICE IN MY HEAD

It therefore was not easy for me when twenty years ago I suddenly heard a voice in my head wanting to speak through me. Embarrassed and confused, I told Sabrina what I was experiencing. She comes from a long line of healers and psychics and was very relaxed. ‘Let it speak,’ she encouraged.

This voice then wrote a book through me. This was a very strange experience and totally different from writing my other books.

I feel uncomfortable about my role as a channel or medium. My parents, my doctorate in psychology, the decades of watchful meditation, my disciplined training as an energy worker – all of this makes me cautious around channeling and suspicious of someone (in this case, me) who doesn’t think for himself, but just acts as a conduit. Paradoxically of course I am very comfortable with being an open vessel when it comes to healing or surrendering to the flow of spirit.

So I decided to remain silent about this voice in my head.

I put the manuscript away in a cupboard for ten years, but then a friend found it and encouraged its publication as The Christ Sparks. Still embarrassed, I didn’t publicize the book at all and was grateful when it did not sell well and went out of print.

Nevertheless I stayed in communication with the voice and enjoyed its company. Often, when faced with situations that I cannot understand, I ask for its perspective and receive useful insights.

THE ORBS Then earlier this year, in a deep meditative state, I was contemplating the Orbs phenomenon and that voice popped up again. It said that it was responsible for the Orbs phenomenon and that it would be good to work again on the manuscript, edit and add to it, and publish it anew. I resisted and then agreed. Of course, spheres of light and energy have been around for millennia – usually, it seems, as souls and angelic beings – but nowadays there is this widespread phenomenon experienced by many thousands. The information in Orbs Speak is one way of explaining it.

Luckily, I like what the Orbs say. They say that they are a swarm of friendly beings who have come as friends to help and heal the human family. They explain how, because of ancient history, human beings feel more trusting with plants, nature and animals than with each other. They say they can help heal this sad wound that divides us. They talk about the way in which we form groups with people we never see and how our bodies are connected and interdependent. They give many useful insights and their message is hopeful. They also suggest many ideas and activities that we can explore for ourselves. Nevertheless I can still hear echoes of my mother’s sceptical voice with her lilting New York accent. ‘Really, wouldn’t you rather be lecturing at Yale or Harvard!’ she once admonished when she heard I was touring America giving lectures on angels and meditation.

But she is on the other side now and probably knows more about Orbs and angels than I do, perhaps attending or even giving lectures in the Great Halls of Learning. In that dimension, she probably accepts all phenomena in the same way that we enjoy a soft, warm summer rain. All my love.

Linear time is a frustrating thing. At least to those who inhabit the invisible universe: the souls or spirits. We humans fret about time, or lack of it, or the speeding up of, or what will happen in time, or in the future, or… you get the picture. Meanwhile, in the spirit world, they fret about what a fret we make over something that does not exist outside our own physical reality; all that happens happens in the now, and a number of probable futures are at play and we knew this before we, ourselves, incarnated. Except that, for the most part, we do not remember. And that’s where the problem arises about the future, at least our perception of it. Confused?

Well, let us take a look at this from another perspective. In the spirit realms, things operate not in linear fashion but in the round and in cycles— much like the creators of crop circles, whose messages generally appear in the round as well as in cycles. In my time as a researcher of sacred spaces and their connection to human consciousness, I’ve been privy to many interesting— and challenging— phenomena, one being the origin of crop circles and those responsible for them. The genuine ones, that is. And precisely why they are here and why now. And a large part of the answer lies in the way the world works outside our physical realm.

Across the thin veil, the world of soul or spirit or Creator is a well-oiled machine that functions on the basic principle that all existence exists for one simple purpose: to have an experience. This may come as a disappointment to many of us, but there you have it, it’s all about having an experience. The evidence is supported by thousands of clinical past-life regression case studies who, upon returning from a hypnotic state, claim this to indeed be the case. And one of the most challenging experiences for the soul is to incarnate here on Earth.

Since souls have no physical body, as we would perceive it, they have no direct emotional experience until they acquire carnal shape. Thus, Earth provides a unique environment where not only do they get to experience emotion— too much, I must profess— but since souls arrive here with a pre-induced case of amnesia, they also have to interact with six billion others, most of whom also cannot fathom why they came here in the first place.

This makes the play that is human life both fascinating and tragic. And the difference between that fine line is defined by how we, as the embodiment of those incarnated souls, go about the business of remembering who we are and why we’re here. And this is where sacred space, and phenomena such as crop circles come in.

Back in the spirit world, when we sit in the cosmic library looking at possible future situations in which we want to be involved, we already understand that upon incarnating we will not remember why. It is designed that way, so you do not borrow from previous lessons or incidences and thus learn to handle new experiences from a fresh perspective; your gut feeling or instinct acts as a barometer between you in the now and any past-life experience. That is why it is important to pay attention to that gut feeling. Our teachers and guides on the other side know of the difficulties associated with this disconnect between the soul in a human body and the spirit world. They also understand that since we will have free will to follow three possible outcomes, and that being a grounded soul will make us susceptible to material attachments and illusions, there is an agreement between incarnating souls and spirit guides that signs, signals, people, events and other mnemonic devices will be used, from time to time, to remind us of our greater purpose.

I’m not talking about plagues, earthquakes, signs of Beelzebub and other biblical-style events. I’m talking about situations that have such a direct impact on our state of awareness that failing to follow that gut feeling at such moments is to follow a less-than-desired course of experience.

Once in a while, highly developed souls incarnate with a better-connected umbilical cord to the spirit world to act for us as examples of purposeful living. Jesus, Buddha, Mozart, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and latterly, Mother Teresa, to name a few. Their primary aim was not to foster religious movements or followings but to show, by example, that in establishing a connection with the invisible universe — that is, living a life aware of balance between physical and spiritual needs— they were able to go about their earthly business in a manner which served a purpose conceived ahead of linear time. In other words, they demonstrated the power of living purposefully, of living the dream awake. And yes, some went as far as to show us how to create miracles, just to demonstrate the power of our often neglected human intent.

Essentially they were following precisely the aim taught in all esoteric traditions, from the Egyptian Mysteries schools to the original principles behind Islam, even Freemasonry.

The general human response to such gifts has been crucifixion, in one form or another. I recall when Mother Teresa crossed over a decade ago, the world was so consumed with the death in England of Princess Diana that the following day hardly anyone read Teresa’s obituaries, buried deep inside daily newspapers, somewhere on page 9. All this does not signify that humans are inherently evil or sadistic, but quite the contrary: they have become mostly forgetful and, consequently, fearful. And when they do so the tendency is to over-associate with the physical world and, thus, lose the plot.

Back in Neolithic times the plot could be rediscovered by taking your body and mind for a stroll down to a local sacred site. We have a living legacy all around the world of incredible places built to withstand everything that life and politics would throw at them: pyramids, stone circles, standing stones, megalithic temples and so forth. It has been successfully proved that at such locations across the Earth, the laws of physics are subtly altered. And no wonder, for they were built to do precisely that.

A typical sacred site lies at the crossroads of streams of magnetic energy. Correctly harnessed, magnetism stimulates the iron in the blood as well as the magnetite that lies suspended inside the human skull; it also stimulates the pineal gland causing a chemical reaction in the brain that stimulates altered states of awareness. This process is aided by the specially chosen stones of sacred sites— including Gothic cathedrals— which carry a high degree of magnetite, and silica, the kind of crystalline structure that is found in human bone. The process of sensory stimulation is further amplified by the sonic structure of temples, not to mention the sacred geometry that binds their elements which create harmonics that work in tandem with the geometry of cell structure found in human DNA.

In other words, at such locations, one is able to be released from the bond of the physical world, beyond the grasp of gravity, to reconnect with the world of spirit, the world of the gods. Such a momentary event was enough for a person to return with some hint or clarification of their life purpose, even universal knowledge, provided by those across the veil, sitting, watching our entire drama unfold more or less in accordance with a pre-designed purpose, with some allowance for free will.

The system worked so well for thousands of years that when the Roman Catholic church manifested in Rome, their prime aim was to eradicate all traces of this pagan tradition (pagan meaning ‘one who lives in the country’), all the while usurping and re-naming many of its practices. Indeed Roman Catholicism is the one religion which has historically sought to act as a middleman between the spirit world and ourselves, while decrying as evil our natural right to do so ourselves; I would go as far as to say this religion, once the clerical arm of one of the most controlling empires ever witnessed on Earth, has exacerbated the present state of disconnection from spirit in humanity. There is ample historical evidence for this, in the systematic destruction of sacred sites and the atrocities committed around the world right into the Victorian era, all in the name of “the one true faith”. Rather ironic that the root of ‘religion’— religio— means ‘to reconnect’.

As if a sign that this reconnecting is not happening for millions of souls around the world, church attendance at the start of the 21st century is at its lowest ebb; in Europe alone, scores of churches have been resurrected into condos and private houses; coincidentally, interest in the sites of our ancestors is going up. But is this sudden resurgence in our sacred past a part of recovering from our collective amnesia? And is it happening fast enough?

I believe the answer is yes, and no, and for one fundamental reason: our soul is striving to reconnect because we instinctively feel that one possible, alternative future is in danger of becoming a reality. And it is one that least accommodates our need as a collective to grow into a new experience.

In life, there are several roads we can go by. That is the fundamental right of free will. But when we begin to see the manifestation of a future based on fear, self interest and environmental ecoside, I believe at that moment a safety valve blows in our collective soul amnesia which propels us to take affirmative action. And the triggers for this are the undeniable volumes of unusual phenomena at this moment in our evolution.

Orbs, entities, UFOs and the such have blossomed during the latter part of the 20th century, and necessarily in rapport with the rise in population or the increase in electronic gadgets with which to capture such events; even the numbers of people with developed psychic ability is on the increase. These events have a pronounced affect on our consciousness, our spirituality if you like. It is as if the spirit world is realizing the effect modern life (by which I mean the past 2000 years) is placing on incarnated souls. They understand that the ability to reconnect with the spirit world for guidance and clarity is lessened to its lowest degree in living memory. The gap between seen and unseen is expanding. Thus, the state of amnesia which has up to now served as a useful shield used between the spirit and this experienctial world is no longer purposeful. In fact, it has become somewhat of a detriment in the journey of souls. So, in order to help us remember, new means must be employed to help us remember the plot.

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, I will show wonders in the heavens above, and signs in the Earth beneath,” so God is claimed to have said, as quoted in the biblical text The Acts of the Apostles. What the last days refer to is open to interpretation. However, aerial appearances of comets throughout the last forty years, and major discoveries through Hubble Space telescope and the plethora of space craft launched into the nether regions of the galaxy have no doubt broadened our view and appreciation of the Universe. Meanwhile, back in ‘the Earth beneath’, a major phenomenon has been manifesting.

Some 10,000 crop circles have been reported in modern times. Most have been simple circles and shapes, some have been complex in geometry and structure. But what is certain is that 29 countries have reported them, and despite the normal, and carefully planned, debunking throughout the cynical modern media, their positive effect has been indelibly imprinted on people’s psyche. It has spurred an interest in people in matters of faith and self-discovery, in esotericism, even the meaning of life itself. I have witnessed skeptics turn into believers, I have seen sensible people dismantle perfectly rational, sensible lives to follow uncertain paths in the education and awakening of human awareness and the purpose of the soul on Earth. For better or worse, I am one of them.

Crop circles are in themselves not a new phenomenon. There is written evidence of their manifestation— with diagrams, no less— in England in 1680. In fact, over 200 cases exist of crop circles appearing throughout Europe and North America since the 1900s, some from witnesses such as police and farmers. According to the oral traditions of native tribes from the north American Plains they may have been appearing over the course of a thousand years. In South Africa they are described as ‘the great circles of the Gods’, and sacred rituals are performed honouring the “star gods and the Earth Mother”. Their appearance has been cause for celebrations lasting several days, which are accompanied by prayers to the gods to watch over the people and talk to them “through the sacred sites”.

Through the sacred sites !? It seems, then, that the spirit world’s connection with the human soul is alive and well at those places of veneration. As indeed it should be, since those terrestrial antennas are still, by and large, in full operating mode.

The mechanics at work in sacred sites are no different to those in crop circles, and the effects on people are identical. From my own research I have concluded that a portion of the crop circles are meant for the Earth’s own energy systems— geometric shapes mirroring those already hard-wired into this ecosystems’ own genetic memory, serving to amplify and stabilize the environment, mostly for the benefit of that often pesky species, the human. Part of this evidence comes from eyewitness accounts of a tube of light descending onto the land, rotating the plants without making them fall down and then, the following day, the crop circle appears. This suggests there is an imprinting of information and the Earth fires back the pattern as confirmation. Scientific evidence also shows that a fluid system releases energy when flowing in clockwise motion, yet adds energy when rotating anti-clockwise; the way the plants in crop circles are spiraled in both such directions serves to demonstrate that energy is either coming in or flowing out. But what concerns us here are those crop circles witnessed by some eighty people around the world manifesting right in front of their eyes, typically within fifteen seconds, for these serve an altogether different purpose.

Like all ancient sacred sites, all genuine crop circles appear at the crossroads of invisible streams of magnetic energy. Since we already know what happens to people when they interact with magnetism at sacred sites it should come as no surprise that hundreds of people have reported altered states of awareness when in contact with crop circles. What is interesting is that many were skeptics, and some have had the experience just from looking at a photograph; there have also been hundreds of cases of healings.

In this, crop circles behave just like standing stones and other oracles, except they work with cereal crop instead of rocks. But if you bend down and look at the affected plants you will find the roots have been bent at approximately 90 degrees counter to the normal point of gravity. Roots are geotropic by nature, they should point to the center of the Earth, and yet in crop circles they can be almost horizontal. This suggests that the local gravitational field has been influenced in some way. When you consider that one of the purposes of gravity is not just to bind together molecules, but also to make sure the soul remains bound to the physical vessel it chose to enter, the implications are staggering. Imagine, these new temples— these signs— appearing upon the face of the Earth, helping the human soul to reconnect with its parent body, at a time when we seem most disconnected.

We haven’t even begun to look at the actual symbols themselves. Our ancestral cultures were, without a doubt, far more engaged in intimate dialogue with the spirit world, and their stories and experiences are memorialized in symbols etched in stones all around the world, including Aboriginal lands. Many of the symbols are archetypal patterns, and many are found at locations already associated with dreaming or altered states of awareness. Whenever native cultures are exposed to the crop circle symbols they react with great joy, for they recognize the designs as their own— gifts from, and expressions of, the gods and other beings from across the veil.

In watching people’s reactions to the crop circles symbols I’ve often described them as works by a master hypnotist, but working in reverse: not to subvert your consciousness under the influence of suggestion, but to bring you out of amnesia. Because these symbols are helping people remember their purpose in life. They guide them to the bigger picture and, to a degree, lessen the stranglehold of material forces upon the soul.

From my observation, the crop circle symbols that most strike an awakening chord inside us are based on pentagrams and hexagons, either overtly or veiled within an otherwise abstract shape. I mulled this over for years, while gazing at precisely the same geometries when sitting in old churches and cathedrals, discovering exactly the same patterns in their arches, windows and adornments. Even when looking at the Earth— even human DNA.

For organic life to appear on a planet, a certain harmonic must be employed in its construction. This harmonic is the ratio 6:5, and on Earth this is reflected in the circumference at the Equator (21,600 nautical miles) relative to the processional cycle (approx. 25,800 years). That ratio is 6:5, and it is geometrically expressed by the hexagon and the pentagon. As the Egyptians taught us, everything as above is reflected so below, therefore this ratio should exist in humans, one of the physical products of the Earth. If one observes the crystalline structure of human DNA, the very core of our physical fabric is indeed composed of alternating hexagonal and pentagonal-shaped crystals.

There is one more piece of evidence that links crop circles, sacred sites and human DNA, and that is the strategic angle of alignment between places of invocation and our genetic core. While I was researching the possible strategic placement of crop circles across the land, I stumbled upon an angle the Circlemakers kept using again and again. This angle, 32.72 degrees, also appears to link many sacred sites throughout southern Britain one to another— coincidentally where 80% of crop circles appear. When I researched this in relationship to human DNA I discovered that the angle of the spiral in aDNA lies precisely 32.72 degrees. Although this is a project I am currently working on, it is sufficient to remark that someone in higher places is intent on awakening the human soul through these special places on Earth. As I mentioned earlier, I believe the spirit world is aware that the human soul and its amnesia is facing an uphill struggle to maintain its balance due to the overwhelming association with material forces. And what better way to get our attention than by creating mysterious shapes in fields which speak directly to our genetic code?

No wonder these euphonious messages from the gods are influencing people at such a fundamental level. Geometry, being the ultimate systems language, is a sure way to get our attention, for it speaks directly to the heart while circumnavigating that often austere analytical barrier, the brain.

So, are crop circles messages from the future, manifesting at this juncture to assist the progress of the soul? The answer is yes. And no. Since many of their designs can be found literally etched in stone throughout ancestral sites, they are also messages from the past. Yet the world of spirit works not in linear time but in the round, and all events and processes are occurring in real time, so perhaps they are messages from all time, for all time. Paradoxically, in our reality they are of now, and should we fail to follow our gut instinct when we react to them, we stand to hide from their intended purpose— religio, to reconnect the human soul with its home and redirect our lost course.

I often ponder on how we will make of our time here, the first time in history when six billion souls have incarnated, and which of possible courses we shall choose for our future. We are being provided with extraordinary tools and, in the end, how we choose to use them will determine the outcome.

In all such things, the choice is ours.

Jim Morrison the front man for the psychedelic rock outfit 'The Doors' had a deep mystical understanding of death which sprung from his first encounter with death as a child when he saw a truck full of Indians lying scattered along the highway ... bleeding to death ! His fascination with death reflected in his poetry and can be seen in 'HWY - The American Pastoral', a project he started in 1969.

Morrison financed the venture and formed his own production company in order to maintain complete control of the project. Paul Ferrara, Frank Lisciandro and Babe Hill assisted with the project.

Morrison played the main character, a hitchhiker turned killer/car thief. Morrison asked his friend, composer/pianist Fred Myrow, to select the soundtrack for the film.

Jim Morrison : The Indian & The Coyote

Like the man himself, HWY: An American Pastoral is complex and mysterious. He hits the road like Kerouac, wandering, searching for meaning.

Following is an excerpt from a HWY review by John Kolak ...

In comparative literature we are taught that nothing exists by itself, but only in comparison to something else. So the first clue as the movie opens is that Jim is in the desert, but we are shown a waterfall. So, desert represents death, water represents life, and the waterfall, the fountains of life. When we first see Jim, he is immersed in water, a symbol of the womb, and his emergence from the water represents birth. Tribal music here, contrasted to civilized music later, suggests the birth of a shaman.

We then see images of Jim basking in the joy of life, and then he undertakes a journey. One of the common complaints about the film are these long passages of shots of Jim's journey. There has been some comment that this is just Jim's working in the milieu of his time where these long passages were typical of art house cinema of the time. But it is more than that. The version of "2001 - A Space Odyssey" that was commonly shown was a shortened version. The first version released contained long, boring shots of the space ship traveling through space. Kubrick's intent was to illustrate the immensity of space and how long it takes to engage in space travel.

In "HWY," the lengthiness of the journey is also deliberate, but it serves multiple and different functions. The first clue is to get you to understand that this story is about a journey, so Jim had to make the journey passages long enough to make sure you got the point. Any shorter, and it would have looked like just another scene. More specifically, in artistic terms, it is about the hero's journey. Since the days of the story of Prometheus breaking on through to the other side to steal fire from the gods and bring it back to earth to benefit mankind, the genre of the hero's journey has always been about crossing the threshold to the divine and bringing back something for mankind. This is what Jim does when he breaks on through and brings his music and poetry back for our benefit.
