Perseid Meteor Shower August 2012

The Perseid Meteor Showers are back in peak action this August. Usually active between July 23rd and August 22 and the peak days being August 11th and 12th when there are about 60-100 meteors seen blazing the skies at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour every hour.

The best time to see the Perseids peaking would be on August the 12th, post midnight until early hours of the morning. They are called the Perseids because they appear to radiate from the constellation Perseus, and these are typically one of the fastest moving meteor showers.

This post will be updated with some more pictures and videos of the Perseid Meteor Shower soon ... Eyes to the Skies :)
