Benefits of Staying Grounded and Connected to Earth

Modern society has been driven so far away from its roots that today most of us folks have little understanding of the healing potential of natural frequencies and living in close proximity to natural surroundings. Walking barefoot on Earth has a great number of health benefits and have been known to help regenerate cells and delay aging.

"Grounded" is an independent feature film about what many authorities consider "The greatest health re-discovery of all time". In the documentary, you'll hear first-hand accounts from residents of Haines, Alaska who have overcome chronic pain, sleep apnea and much more simply by getting grounded.

Walking barefoot on the Earth transfers free electrons from the Earth's surface into your body that spread throughout your tissues providing beneficial effects. This process is called 'grounding.'

Grounding has been shown to relieve chronic pain, reduce inflammation, improve sleep, thin your blood, enhance well-being and much, much more.

Wearing plastic or rubber-soled shoes effectively disconnects you from the Earth's natural electron flow.

Our immune system functions optimally when our body has an adequate supply of free electrons, which are easily and naturally obtained by barefoot contact with the Earth.

Research indicates that free electrons from the Earth have antioxidant effects that can protect your body from inflammation and its many well documented health benefits. For most of our evolutionary history, humans have had continuous contact with the Earth. It is only recently that substances such as asphalt, wood, rugs, and plastics have separated us from this contact.

Came across something interesting on Kimberly Snyder's blog on the invisible benefits of grounding.

"Grounding, sometimes called earthing, brings us back to a neutral, balanced state when we make direct contact with the earth. Negative ions from the earth’s surface rush into our bodies to discharge the many unpaired positive ions, or free radicals, we’ve picked up in daily life. Those free radicals are associated with disease, aging, and inflammation, and when you expose your bare skin to the soil, grass, or even concrete, the earth’s healing powers swoop in to save the day."

Grounding May Be the Missing Link to Getting Healthy

Earthing may be one of the most important overlooked factors in public health. When grounding is restored, many people report significant improvement in a wide range of ailments, including chronic fatigue.

These changes are rapid and often occur within 30 minutes.

To date all of the individuals who reported that they had inflammatory issues have benefited from Earthing. This includes people with various severe autoimmune diseases. Note that we do not assert that Earthing is a "treatment" or a "cure" for any disease or disorder. Instead, it can be said without any equivocation that the human body evolved in contact with the Earth and needs to maintain this natural contact in order to function properly.

When you provide your body a constant source of free electrons, through diet or grounding you help to radically reduce inflammation which is widely acknowledged as one of the primary factors contributing to premature aging and chronic disease.

Meet the Barefoot Professor :)

Harvard professor Daniel Lieberman has ditched his trainers and started running barefoot. His research shows that barefoot runners, who tend to land on their fore-foot, generate less impact shock than runners in sports shoes who land heel first. This makes barefoot running comfortable and could minimize running-related injuries.
