So, looks like one can say the Apocalypse is here now. Things are going absolute nuts out there with folks who had no clue this was coming one day and even for some of us who had some idea or an inkling that something was on (all our tin foil hat buddies and conspiracy theorists) however, were always distracted by the ebb and flow of life and business has been on as usual, until now. Things have come to a grinding halt in our human world, while everything else in the outside world is flourishing since the human virus (us), are being contained in the most strange and unexpected way. For those of us who have been living solitary for a while this quarantine is nothing new but for some of us who have constantly been occupied with something worldly, with little time for growth and self exploration, the time is now. We have all the time in the world now to go within and learn how to meditate, breathe more consciously and stay connected with the essence of who we really are.

" It is always better to live with reality, because otherwise, without fail, reality will come to live with you. "
                                                                                                                                                     - The Aghori Vimalananda

The masses are driven by fear and in these apocalyptic times, the truth is being revealed. Karmic balances are being settled and all the other species living in the wild are rejoicing and thriving as the human virus is being contained. People with weakened immune systems and the ones living in fear are the first ones to be affected by all this fear mongering and this too is by design, to cull a majority of the populace. There is enough scientific evidence which suggests strong EMF frequencies are a hazard for all life forms on Earth, and humans are no exception to this. Still there are 5G towers coming up all over the world which seem to be strongly connected with the huge number of outbreaks of the Coronavirus or Covid-19.

The media is controlled and censored heavily with trolls and paid disinformation agents doing the rounds regularly. Most world leaders are being controlled by the TPTB and nothing coming out from official sources can be believed and trusted blindly. Pay attention to signs in the world outside and get some sun everyday. There will be major cataclysms happening which will shape the course of our future. There is nothing to fear when we allow our intuition to guide us. We are all in this together, however not everyone will be there with you as this is where paths begin to diverge ... The choice is always between love and fear and the ones who fear, do so because they lack true knowledge of the self and the universe is now putting us in a place where we have the opportunity to explore these uncharted territories and discover the magic of life.

Find your own answers and don't believe anything you read or see, unless it resonates with you, completely ! I am here for you, always ... I am Another You !

Trust that Ma takes care of all her children and everything is bound by certain laws of cause and effect. We always have the chance to change our crazy ways and rediscover a new version of ourselves each new day. We are born anew with each sunrise and its a new you, a new day ... make better choices and remember to stay connected with the breath at all times. The New Earth is something that each one of us will co-create by simply envisioning it. We dream our reality into being ... We will manifest love and harmony on Earth, and it starts with us.

Be Love ... Be Light !

Here are some interesting posts for the apocalypse ... :)

For those of us who still fancy a good read once in a while, there is a new book in the Psychedelic Head Space you must check out ... "Psychedelic Medicine : The Healing Powers of LSD, MDMA, Psilocybin and Ayahuasca" by Dr. Richard Louis Miller.

Embracing the revival of psychedelic research and the discovery of new therapeutic uses, Dr. Richard Louis Miller discusses what is happening today in psychedelic medicine and what will happen in the future with top researchers in this field, including Rick Doblin, Stanislav Grof, James Fadiman, Julie Holland, and Dennis McKenna.

Richard Louis Miller is a Clinical Psychologist, owner of Wilbur Hot Springs Health Sanctuary, and broadcaster who hosts the Mind Body Health & Politics radio program, a radio talk show which airs on NPR affiliate KZYX&Z FM. The program is known for its wide ranging discussions on politics and health, the show’s format includes guest interviews, guest speakers, and listener call in.

In 1990, while motorcycling, Dr Miller was hit by a recreational vehicle. In the resulting accident, the Winnebago ran over him crushing both of his legs. He kept himself alive using breathing stabilization techniques. In the emergency room he talked the attending physician out of amputating his legs which led to to a 15-hour surgery. This was the first of 6 surgeries. While in intensive care, Dr. Miller devised methods of coping with the psychological trauma, using visual imagery to aid the healing process. Given a prognosis of being paraplegic and using a wheelchair, he began rehabilitating himself by doing “wheel chair laps” around the hospital ward. Six months later he began walking on crutches, and he strapped them onto a motorcycle, drove back to the scene of his accident, and retraced the original accident multiple times in an attempt to remove the trauma from his mind, replacing it with “a perfect ride”.

Using special T bar crutches, he went on the complete 2 triathlons including swimming in San Francisco Bay. He used the same special crutches to run the 7 mile Golden Gate Bridge to Bay Bridge run in San Francisco with his former marathoning buddy Wayne Greene. Dr. Miller used this life changing event to deepen his understanding of himself and those suffering Post traumatic stress disorder. The implementation of those lessons soon followed, and he created a simple maxim, “Limits are self-imposed, and one needs to always be cautious of accepting the limitations (prognosis) imposed by others.”

Miller has been, a Marathon runner, Triathlete, Endurance swimmer, Downhill skier, Motorcyclist, pilot, bridge/poker/chess player, pistol marksman, classic car collector.

When not at Wilbur Hot Springs, he lives on a small farm with the love of his life, Jolee, and about 20 animals, in Mendocino County on California’s north coast.

Psychedelics and Meditative practices have the potential to heal us from all forms of psychosomatic illnesses by addressing the root cause of all trauma and painful experiences from the past. Here is a documentary film called "Psychedelic Therapy" which speaks about all of this and much more. Our awareness to the potential of psychedelics is key to co-creating a better reality for all of us.

Let's choose wisely !

India is the only place where our gods must dance. If they cannot dance they cannot be a god! This is because the closest analogy you can give to the phenomenon of creation, is that it is like a dance. Today, modern physicists are using such words – they say creation seems to be in a dance. If you observe a dance, on the surface, there seems to be no logical coherence to what is happening. But if you look closely enough, there is a very profound system to the whole process.

Creation seems to be absolutely random and accidental, but with closer observation, everything seems to be synchronized in some way.

For example, in Indian classical dance, the dancer may seem to be just moving their hands and legs about at random. On the surface, there seems to be nothing to it. But if you watch closely enough, there is a very deep coherence to everything that is happening. If that coherence was absent, you would not enjoy the dance. To be able to do seemingly illogical things like throwing your hands and legs around, but still have an absolute coherence to everything that you want to depict takes years of training and practice. If the dance has that geometric aesthetic, it will impact the viewers in a certain way, though they may not know the story or understand what the dance is. The same goes for music in a different dimension.

Physicists are also coming to this. Creation seems to be absolutely random and accidental, but with closer observation, everything seems to be synchronized in some way. There is some kind of coherence to everything, which they are still not able to figure out. The only reason yoga is even possible is because there is a coherence between the individual life and the larger manifestation of creation. If there was no coherence, you couldn’t become one. There would be no possibility of union if there was no coherence.

Microcosm and Macrocosm

One of the theories that is being thrown around in science over the last few years is Constructal theory. What they say is that whether you take an atom, a human being, an elephant or the cosmos – the fundamental design is the same. It is only the complexity that increases in sophistication.

"We said anda, pinda, and brahmanda – the ingredient that makes this life, the individual person, and the cosmos – are three manifestations of the same thing."

This is something we have always said in yoga. The microcosm and the macrocosm are essentially the same design. It is from this that the yogic practices began. We said anda, pinda, and brahmanda – the ingredient that makes this life, the individual person, and the cosmos – are three manifestations of the same thing. They are all in the same synchronicity. And because it is the same design, you can put one into the other. You can eat a carrot and make it into a human being because it is the same design.

So, the nearest analogy and the closest description you can give for the way the cosmos is functioning is that it is a dance, because it all seems to be at random, but there is perfect organization and synchronicity behind it. It is just that most people’s idea of organization is too intellectual and divisive. For example, let’s take a nice, manicured garden and a forest. A garden means everything is organized. A forest means no organization. But if you don’t attend to the garden for three months, it will be gone. But a forest can live for millions of years without your attention. So which would you consider as better organization?

Nataraja – The Cosmic Dancer

So, because creation is a dance, we said the divine is a dancer. If he is not a dancer, how could he make this dance happen? When we say Shiva is Nataraja, we are not talking about an individual dancing. You might have noticed that in the depiction of Nataraja, there is a circle around him. The circle is always the symbol of the cosmos because when anything moves, the most natural form that happens in the existence is a circle. Anything that happens by itself is a circle or an ellipsoid – which is a slightly distorted circle –because a circle is the shape of least resistance. The planet, the moon, the sun, these are all circles.

This is why the circle around Nataraja symbolizes the cosmos. He is a cosmic dancer. That is how he is always described. This is not about an individual dancing across the cosmos. We are saying the cosmos is in a dance and the dance is guided by a certain intelligence. Since we are individuals and we understand everything as separate life forms, we individualize it as Nataraja for our own perception. The word “Shiva” literally means “that which is not” or “that which is nothing”. It is nothing, it is empty space, but it is dancing. Because it is dancing, everything is happening.

Become the Dance!

You cannot understand the dance because everything that you understand will only be a wrong conclusion. But you can experience the aesthetic of the dance, or you can become the dance. If you experience the beauty of the dance by observation, we say you are a seeker. In society, you may be called by different names – maybe a scientist – but still you are a seeker. You want to know what it is, so you are paying attention. If you become the dance, you become the divine, you become a yogi.

That is the choice you have.

Why you should learn more about vaporization?

Vaporization is becoming more and more popular in Europe and has been a smashing hit for a while now in USA, Canada, Holland and UK. Unfortunately, it's still hard to find reliable information about vaporization. We want to explain in this article why vaporization has become so popular and why it's worth getting to know it better.

If you're reading this text, you probably use marijuana. And if you do, you've probably heard of vaporization before. Vaporization is a process during which the temperature of herbs is raised up to 180-220 degrees Celsius and the active substances from marijuana – cannabinoids – get released in the form of vapor. What's most important – the herbs don't get burnt so while vaping, you don't inhale any tar substances, carbon monoxide or other toxins (including the carcinogenic ones), which is the case whenever you smoke.

What do you gain when you vaporize?

What if someone told you that you can reduce the absorption of harmful substances released during smoking by 99%? And that you can forget about smoker's cough, the morning phlegm accumulation or blocked lungs?

When you switch to vaporization, you notice a significant improvement in the condition of your lungs. Thanks to vaporization, the inhalation of cannabinoids from the herbs doesn't influence the state of your lungs or your circulatory system so you can enjoy the beneficial properties of the plants with no harm to your health.

Remember about the savings

Every person who smokes regularly knows that the expenses related to the herbs can badly affect the budget. And if I told you that you could reduce those expenses by half? You can achieve it thanks to the high efficiency of vaporization! First of all, when you smoke, a part of the cannabinoids goes to waste because they undergo the process called pyrolysis in the high temperature. As a result, you only absorb a quarter of the cannabinoids contained in marijuana. When you vape, there is no pyrolysis, which allows you to absorb as much as 80% of the substances. What's more, when you smoke, the herbs are lit up and are getting burnt even between the drags, which doesn't happen the in the case of vaporization. This means that vaporization is much more effective than smoking – you get much stronger results with the same amount of herbs. What follows, if you want to get the same result as when you smoke, you need to load your vaporizer with a much smaller amount of herbs. That's why you should remember that vaporization = savings. The amount of herbs you'll buy can drop almost by half!

Unforgettable experience

When you read about vaporization, you can see comments saying that you will only get to know the real flavor of marijuana once you vaporize it. And that's true. The majority of the terpenes – the chemical compounds that carry the flavor and aroma – gets damaged by the high temperature when you smoke herbs. In the case of vaporization, the temperature is much lower, which lets you enjoy the delicate flavor of your favorite type of marijuana.

Another very important advantage is the lack of smoke, which makes vaporization a very discreet process. What does it mean exactly? The aroma of the vapor disappears almost immediately when you vape outside and it stays in the room for not more than a few minutes. It doesn't get absorbed by your clothes or furniture and it doesn't bother your curious neighbours. It goes without saying that it's a huge benefit adds expert from online store VapeFully.

Switching from smoking to vaping equals a wide range of benefits, related not only to your health and your budget but also to the quality of the inhalation experience and the possibility to keep your habit inconspicuous. The best part is that all you need to enjoy these aspects is a vaporizer. As long as you choose a good quality device, you will be able to take advantage of the easy and comfortable vaporization of cannabinoids from your herbs.

Don't use low-quality vaporizers!

Even though vaporization is quite a recent fashion in Europe, the market is already full of devices that differ not only in terms of prices, but also the performance, the quality of finish and the materials they are made of. While choosing a vaporizer, you must remember that the cheaper models – as tempting as they might be due to the price – are not able to guarantee all the benefits we mentioned above. What's more, the low quality of the materials they are made of can pose danger to your health. And obviously, everybody wants to inhale the aromatic vapor from marijuana, rather than the fumes of melted plastic or – in some more extreme cases – lead and mercury. Unfortunately, this is what happens when you use some cheaper models that are so popular on the online auction platforms. The danger related to the usage of such devices results from the fact that the cheapest vaporizers are made of the cheapest subassemblies (it's logic) that have little resistance to high temperatures required for vaporization. Still, many stores fail to pay attention to the quality of the products they sell and they offer both great quality vaporizers and some cheap ones that may be simply dangerous to your health. A beginner has no clue how to tell the difference between a safe device and one that will not only underperform but also do harm to the health. That's why when you choose your first vaporizer, go to a store that sells only tested and safe models and that offers professional assistance.

No risk purchase

Whether you choose a portable or a desktop vaporizer or you decide to get a convection or conduction device, depends entirely on you. I can recommend store that sell only safe devices – www.VapeFully.com. Other stores, unfortunately, offer – among others – some models of a very low quality (e.g. Titan 2 Hebe or Snoop Dogg G-Pen), while with the above-mentioned store you don't run this risk. From my experience, I can tell you that the staff in VapeFully are helpful and they know what they are talking about. That's why I can recommend this one with a clear conscience. You don't have to worry about the warranty either – store is authorised seller so the products you buy are protected with the manufacturer's warranty.

Remember that you are only one step away from being able to enjoy all the above mentioned benefits. Health, discreteness, amazing vapor flavor, savings and – above all – pleasure! What more could you ask for?

I smoked my first joint when I was 15. I am now 42 and in the intervening years I don’t think there have been more than 20 days when I haven’t taken at least a few hits. My relationship with ganja is uncomplicated and permanent, like an incredibly happy marriage.

But just like a marriage, time has dimmed the spark. What was once an exciting erotic adventure filled with handcuffs and leather has become the equivalent of pyjamas and a movie while spooning on the couch. OK, that metaphor may be a bit mixed but I’m sure you catch my drift.

Almost any stoner will tell you that they suffer diminished returns the longer they smoke and that it is very hard to replicate the powerful, hallucinatory effects one experiences as a novice toker.

I think I may have found the solution.

About two months ago a friend and fellow psychonaut introduced me to Synctuition. It is labelled as a 3D meditation program that increases your intuition while inducing trance-like states. He suggested I get stoned, strap myself in and try the 3 free tracks you get when you register on the site.

So I checked it out. The program consists of 60 sound journeys created using binaural beats, the latest in 3D sound technology as well as guided meditation and over ten years worth of field recordings and studio work. It even comes with special player that allows you to experience the full effects of this.

I picked a Saturday afternoon. I had just received a fresh consignment of Critical Kush from my friendly neighbourhood dealer and had recently invested in a set of comfy, high-end headphones.

I started out fairly sceptical. I had to record my own voice first as the tracks mix in your own unique vocal frequency. I must say, I didn’t really notice it anywhere but I suppose it is there in some subtle way.

As I relaxed and breathed as I was told, eyes closed, something incredibly weird and amazing happened. The sound ‘opened up’ and filled the room. I could hear things happening in the distance, birds singing inside the room and the sounds of enveloping me. Someone opened a door to my left and I almost jumped up thinking I was being burgled.

I emerged 25 mins later, my legs feeling like wet noodles and and my body feeling like I’d just had the type of orgasm that births galaxies.

I was hooked, but they made me wait a full twelve hours before I was able to unlock the second track.

I’ve been repeating my journeys every day since then. It has definitely injected some serious spice into my relationship with my beloved marijuana and I’ve been recommending this to every stoner I know.

I’ve even started feeling some of the other benefits they promise, like better sleep and decision making.

It’s autumn in Europe at the moment. I went out this weekend and picked a nice batch of Liberty Caps (Psilocybe semilanceata). My favourite chair is ready and I’ve just invested in Level 2 of Synctuition.

This is going to be fun.

In this pursuit of happiness journeying along myriad pathways of Earthly existence, we forget who we truly are. We intellectualize spiritual concepts, others ideas and thought forms and hold them dear like they were our own, unaware of the extent of mind control we almost willfully buy into. My own journey so far along this roller coaster ride has been nothing less than spectacular and I know am not alone ... , we all somehow asked for this .... We come into this dense, physical reality from the Cosmic Womb of Eternal Consciousness, and to this same source we return once our time and purpose in this plane is done. So, clearly its more about enjoying the journey, being in this present moment ... continually, with each conscious breath.... allowing the universe to guide you along ... showing you beautiful synchronous signs that you are never alone. The divine light of spirit or whatever you may wish to call this essence, its always there ,,. its always YOU !

"Dance like no ones watching, Sing like there's nobody listening, And live like it's heaven on earth. Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world. And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."

Our experiences no matter how personal we think they are the result of the manifestation of mass global consciousness and are actually shared experiences at varying degrees across many lifetimes. We have glorified the I, our individual selves, feeding our limited egos, or suffered feeling lesser or diminished in some way from the rest for quite some time now and this is not serving us on our mission here on Earth. As we allow this omnipresent universal intelligence to guide us along, the path becomes clearer as we go ahead using the wisdom shared by the ancients as our own living experience and not just ideas we play around with in our heads. When we allow soul invigorating vibrations of sounds frequencies in the form of harmonic tones, transcendental melodies to flow through us uninhibited, we become more aware of this ever present inter-connectedness we all share !

The Universe is forever moving, forever changing and evolving and nothing stays constant in the world of form. Once we get to truly grasp this truth, we will begin to see ourselves as more than just carbon based lifeforms. Dancing to beautiful music that moves your soul is one of the best ways to tune in ... and feel, how beautifully in tune all is ... ALWAYS ! Dancing reminds us to keep moving ... keep flowing ... like everything else ... :)

I am another you and you are another me ... we are the waves ... we are the particles .... we are love ... across all eternity !

The word “tantra” literally means a technique or a technology. This is an inner technology. These are subjective methods not objective methods. It is a limb of yoga called tantra yoga.

The human mechanism is a composite of the physical body – an accumulation of food consumed; the mental body – the software and memory part that makes the individual function in specific ways; and the energy body – the fundamental upon which these two are housed. What is beyond this is non-physical.

Tantra is a means to go beyond, so that compulsiveness of the body and mind does not keep us trapped in our limitations. It is about learning to use the body, not as oneself, but as a stepping-stone to deliver this being to the highest possible dimension.

Tantra is not about unbridled sexuality, as assumed by many. Sexuality is a fundamental instinct instilled in our bodies to ensure the species perpetuates itself. This is a basic requirement. At the same time, one must know the limitations beyond which it will not carry us. It is only on recognizing the limitations and the longing to touch other dimensions enters, that yoga and tantra become relevant.
People thinking in terms of “I have sexual needs so I will follow the tantric path,” is nonsense. In tantra, it is not that someone is using just sexuality to grow. They are using every aspect to grow. Unfortunately, there may be people who are attracted to such a path for the wrong reasons. They go because they want a spiritual sanction for their sexuality. Why do you want to bullshit yourself about spirituality? Handle your biology as biology, you do not have to give it other names.

Sexual needs can be fulfilled by forming relationships for that purpose, either within or outside the fold. Using spiritual process to fulfill sexual compulsions is reprehensible and irresponsible. It can lead to various levels of loss because the tantric process is not only used for the individual’s spiritual growth, but also to create an energetic space to support other possibilities that bring well being to many.

The simple principle of tantra yoga is: whatever can take you down can also take you up. The ways in which a man usually sinks in his life are through food, alcoholic drink and sexuality. Tantra yoga uses the same three vehicles to rise up. Unlike sexuality, which tends to find release at the lower level of the energy system, tantra is about building our energies to the fountain-head of the uppermost dimension of the energy system, so that one’s energies spill from the top. Of the different energy manifestations in the body – referred to as the 114 chakras – spilling from the top three is considered the highest. If you have to build up to this, every basic instinct, including the sexual instinct, emotions, intellect and survival process must be used to build and hype the energy system. The intention is to deploy all instincts for which a certain amount of energy is dedicated in the body. If one goes into an actual sexual act, the build-up and the purpose of it will be lost.

Tantra means you are able to use your energies to make things happen. If you can make your mind razor sharp to cut through everything, this is also one kind of tantra. If you make your energies work upon your heart to become utterly loving and you can burst forth with enormous love that just overwhelms everyone, this is also tantra. If you make your physical body enormously powerful to make it do incredible feats, this is also tantra. Or if you can make your energies do things by itself without employing the body, mind or emotion, this is also tantra.

Only when energies meet and mingle and a Guru’s energies overwhelm and override the shishya’s energies, it leads to an orgasmic experience – a union, but not of the sexual kind.

If all you want is to do a meditation or spiritual practice, you don’t really need a Guru. The Guru is here essentially to overwhelm you with nameless ecstasies. So tantra is a technology of salvation, not enslavement.

From total indulgence in sensual pleasures while experiencing the divine through tantric practices, to abstaining from any sexual thoughts or activity for long periods of time can have a life changing impact on one's consciousness and general perception of reality. As we begin to conserve our sexual energy, we create more Ojas or Radiance in our Auric field, affecting others positively around us. On our earthly sojourns, we meet many people while pursuing this idea of 'love', which is defined by most as an inherent need for another to fulfill us in some way. It is beautiful, it is painful at times ... it serves its purpose. As beautiful the act of love making is, when over, it leaves one drained of our radiance as the ancients have always known, and we seem to have been hypnotized by our 5 senses into believing false, self gratifying ideas.

As I was flipping through the pages of 'Aghora : At the Left Hand of God', I came across the chapter on Sex and in particular, the part on Ojas caught my attention. After reading it, I felt this was a timely reminder for me ... as this is something that has been one of the recurrent lessons for me this year. From chasing orgasms in Tantric ecstasy to practicing celibacy is a journey towards discovering our true nature, and purpose to reincarnate on Earth in this lifetime. Maintaining a balance is key. There is much work to be done and it would be prudent to remain focused while allowing the true seeds of unconditional love to blossom within our being.

Ojas

Humans...believe that through sex they are creating a child. Why should they want a child? They just want someone to reproduce their own attributes [genes], someone who will appreciate and love them.....Real creation becomes possible only when they become aware of that impulse and transcend it....

For creation you must use the semen in a different way than you use it for procreation. Semen is that substance in the male body which has the ability to create. Only procreation is possible if it is expelled from the body, ejaculated during the sex act. If it is retained within the body, stored instead of being wasted, then real creation becomes possible through ojas. Ojas is the source of the body's metabolic energy...

It is said in Ayurveda that ojas is derived from semen, but this is not quite so. Ojas exists in association with the head and the nervous system. In fact the "aura" or "halo" which you can see around a person's head is composed of his or her ojas. When I say that loss of semen causes loss of ojas you must remember that sex is all in the mind. ...When thoughts of sex fill the mind the Kama Agni (Fire of Lust) [dopamine] becomes inflamed. Heat is anathema to ojas. The Kama Agni causes a disturbance in the ojas, which alters the brain chemistry and directs the endocrine glands to begin to secrete. The effect is first felt on the prostate in men and the Bartholin's gland in women. Whenever oozing from these glands occurs you can be sure that ojas is being dissipated. During celibacy the ojas goes on and on harmonizing itself.

Women are lucky in that every month all the filth in their blood is drained out. This is the function of menstruation, and each menstrual cycle strengthens a woman's ojas because there is less waste material in the body to disturb digestion or brain chemistry. Unfortunately, since women are nine times more passionate than men most of them will find that this increased ojas merely serves to increase their sex drive. They will be impelled to copulate more, and all the benefits will be lost. Ayurveda recognizes that the substances which rejuvenate the body also act as aphrodisiacs and warns that when a rejuvenating effect is desired, sex must be restricted.

Ordinary sexual activity destroys ojas, but so do thoughts of sex and sexual fantasies even if you do not act on them. In fact continual brooding about anything is equally devastating to the ojas because thought causes the mind and brain to heat up and this mental heat, no matter what the cause, causes excessive physical heat. According to Ayurveda, excessive heat in the body leads to constipation, the root of most diseases. Heat also causes hypersecretion of all the glands, which in turn excites the mind via the body. It's a vicious cycle. Excess coolness in the body can be readily dealt with; excess heat is dangerous. Any unnatural heat ruins the ojas just as surely as does, an inflamed Kama Agni.

Likewise, harmonious thoughts increase ojas. How often have you heard someone say to a pregnant woman, "What a glow you have about your face!" That glow is the aura, composed of ojas. You might think that a pregnant woman's ojas would be low because her body tissues are being depleted to furnish nutrients for the baby. But because of the emotions of motherhood [oxytocin], the overwhelming love for the child being formed, ojas actually increases....

From the Art of Living website ...

Ojas is a certain type of energy, vibrancy in you. Like in the morning you are very vibrant, then you go to work and get tired, and in the evening you don’t have that same energy, right?

In the same way, when you are enjoying through the five senses, you see television for three hours, or you sit in a movie for three hours and come out, your Ojas is spent. If you listen too much, or eat too much, your Ojas is gone. Too much sex and Ojas totally gets depleted. Ojas is spent when you are engaging in any of the five senses.

Ojas can be rebuilt in the system through proper food, rest and attitude, but not very late in life. You cannot say that you are trying to rebuild your Ojas at the age of 60 or so. It has to be done before a certain age. It is like you cannot become very flexible after a certain age.

Ojas is certain vibrancy in you, energy. Our body has seven substances and Ojas is one of them. In the pulse reading you can see that.

After a certain age, the testosterone hormone is gone; similarly Ojas is related to, let us say, hormones. You cannot build those hormones at a later age.

During teenage, Ojas is maximum, and then if one keeps up with a good routine, good food, then Ojas continues through the middle age. And in the middle age, you can increase it or completely get away with it. That is possible. But after sixty or seventy, you cannot say, ‘Okay, now I want to bring back the Ojas into my system’. It may be possible but it is difficult. It depends.

Greetings Dear One .... If you have been following this blog for a while, you have probably witnessed how it has been evolving .... with time. What initially started of as a way to vent out feelings and emotions has turned out to be one of my life's missions which I am happy to have discovered .... at the right time, as always.

Relationships teach us emotions ... our emotions have a lot to say about ourselves. Once you are awakened to your own soul, there is no looking back and going back to someone you think you were. Perhaps, this change is what most of us find hard to wrap our intellect around, also because we haven't yet been able to open our hearts to loving all .... our mind, this sense of separation (the ego) keeps us in a perpetual state of suffering, as it desires ... its disappointed ... it seeks ... it fails .... it also wins at times .... giving it a false sense of accomplishment and momentary gratification. Finally all seeking, no matter what it helps accomplish has emotions attached with it ... which keeps bringing us important lessons, so we can evolve.

The Dark Night of the Soul may seem like recurring for some of us in our lives because he haven't yet learnt what was meant to be learnt .... sometimes the lesson is simply to let go of our illusions of the ego mind and just be. It is however not so easy without the guidance of someone who has walked the same path. For that reason we have our spirit guides, if only we listen to them enough through our own intuition. But we must go through a certain dark passage in our lives once we truly surrender to the universe to show us the way .... only then we truly appreciate the light. Until then we can keep reincarnating many lifetimes without having achieved much, which is essential to our progress as souls.

Sex, is a powerful medium to connect, heal ... exchange energy .... while experiencing the divine in this union of the opposites, the masculine and feminine energies. The world thrives on Sex, however its true purpose remains widely unrecognized as most seek instant gratification through constant orgasms and remain lost in the imaginary world of fantasies. It may be a very confusing period for some of us who are in difficult relationships, because of a changed lifestyle or worldview which may not be in sync with our partner .... this may lead to a lot of chaos and suffering in our lives, as the human drama plays out .... Sex and Love are two terms which have been twisted and manipulated by 'consensus reality' in so many ways that it has taken many perverse forms and keeps human consciousness in lower densities ... not allowing us to move towards higher frequencies. Love is who we are .... Sex is a way of expressing this love towards someone we are mutually drawn to from the deepest core of our being .... not solely because of other external factors such as looks, social status .... etc. Until we have recognized ourselves as a 'soul' ... our 'ego' will meet the 'ego' in others .... and we continue to feed our illusions and fantasies, as long as it lasts .... When two souls unite ... the divine magic beyond our limited self is experienced.

I came across this beautiful article on 'Soul Sex' which I deeply resonate with .... Hope it makes sense to you too .....

Are You Ready for Soul Sex?

Everywhere we turn we are bombarded with sex: media, magazines, movies, billboards. It’s everywhere and constant. Marketing and advertising uses sex to sell everything from hamburgers, to underwear, to cars.

As you know Sex itself is an incredibly powerful energy that when not understood can be the source of much confusion and suffering.

Regular sex is simply about a release, or relieving yourself of stress. It’s the type that leaves you deeply unfulfilled.

Soul sex is the understanding that it is really the exchange of energy, your energies and your partner’s. It’s alchemy that when engaged together in love can open and heal you, your mind, your body, your heart and Soul. Real sex is an energetic exchange and sharing not just a means to release or satisfy the body. Your body might be satisfied but, if sex just remains on a purely physical level, it will be a fleeting high. Real fulfilment cannot be found through the body alone. Pain and pleasure come and go.

The pleasure from sex that arises simply through the body is incredibly transitory. Soul sex happens when you recognize who you are and who the other is. First and foremost, you are Souls, not just a physical body. Then your lovemaking becomes the opportunity for your Souls through the vehicle of your body to dance, exchange, communicate, play and express loving as a gift to each other. When you engage your beloved sexually with the fullness of love and you no longer see your partner as a separate self or simply as another body of flesh, a profound shift occurs within you and your lovemaking will deepen. Then the real exchange happens on the Soul level. At the Soul level there is a sacred communion, the illusions of separation between you and the other drop away and you dissolve as ONE.

As you realize that you are not the body, your partner is not the body, but you are Souls, you can allow each other’s body to serve as a temple becoming the portal into a deeper dimension of the Infinite. What you then exchange with your partner through your bodies is Love energy itself. Then it becomes in the truest sense Lovemaking. You are both sharing the love that you are in that moment.

So Soul sex is the surrender of yourself, not just to your partner but also to the Divine that is living alive within him/her Itself.

Then, something magical happens. Sex moves from needing something, trying to get something, or a game of power and control. It is a letting go of control. It becomes about deep surrender to that which is living and breathing us all.

True lovemaking happens the more you realize and embody that what you are is LOVE itself.

When you make love, you let go. Then there is no you or other. There is only Now. There is only Freedom.

Perhaps this is why we are so obsessed with sex a culture. Yet what we are really seeking is not simply a momentary release – but something far deeper. We are searching for that which is formless and beyond pain or pleasure.

You are ultimately seeking your true Self.

Sex then becomes no more a path to enlightenment, but the very manifestation of Enlightenment itself.

Your lovemaking becomes the expression of the true Light of who you are, manifesting itself as an offering through your body.

So:

Give up all techniques, strategies and resistances to loving. Let go. Release. Relax. Trust. Dive in. Embrace.

Simply surrender.

When you surrender, there is no more you or another.

There is no more lover, loved or loving.

There is only Love.

Love. Now.

... Namaste Dear One ...

There is a lot already said about Awakening, Enlightenment and Non-attachment by many ancient masters and teachers. This blog/website began about 8 years ago following a sort of sudden awakening while trance dancing in the jungles of Goa. My humble expressions of truth which I have gathered from various sources are all put together here on Psychedelic Adventure. That one experience propelled my life in an unknown direction, with some unseen intelligence guiding me along each step ... while telling me to trust my intuition and surrender to what comes forth while following your passion in life ... which for me is the quest for truth so i can bring more meaning to this earthly sojourn, my life.

After this awakening followed a series of realizations and magical discoveries about this exciting universe we are an integral part of. Magic is all around us, all we need is the eyes to see it. After I lost a dear friend quite suddenly, my life changed in a big way as it made me question everything. This was the first time I experienced the death of someone close to me, until then it was all theoretical. Now I begun asking questions pertaining to my own existence and what happens to us when we leave the physical body. On this quest to find meaning I came across many interesting things on the Internet. Some of these subjects I resonate with deeply and have blogged about quite extensively are Crop Circles, Shamanism, Orbs, Healing, Psychedelics and Altered States of Consciousness just to name a few.

The difficult part about waking up is that not everyone around you may be experiencing a similar shift in consciousness as you are. This can be a bit troublesome as the friends who once hung out with you suddenly stop coming over and you too feel like you have gone beyond the need for people being around you all the time and you truly value and appreciate those moments spent in complete silence. :) You would rather be by yourself pursuing certain new found interests which bring more joy and happiness in your life than anything else you have previously known. If you have felt any of this, trust me you are not alone. There are so many of us feeling a storm stirring deep within our soul pushing us towards our imminent evolution, which is showing us a new way of living, in harmony with all beings we share this space with. A new vision of a new sense of self is emerging within each one of us tuned into our heart space ... operating from a place of much peace and divine guidance.

Living consciously, while being sensitive to energies around us can be a gift and a curse at the same time as most empaths would agree. Like most labels, the label of an Empath may seem like a special title to inflate one's ego but it really is an innate capacity within each one of us and there are ways to listen to that inner voice that guides us, which begins with silencing our noisy mind and clearing up the excessive mental clutter. To be in this world, yet detached from the illusions of the ego mind, is the path to true freedom which allows one to live more fully and in alignment with natural laws. Once we live our lives from a place of awareness, brand new realizations pour into our nascent consciousness from time to time ... allowing us to free ourselves from the shackles of the egoic mind while tuning into higher realms of divine consciousness, the true essence of who we are.

One of the eternal teachings of Buddha is that of non-attachment ... I came across this beautiful article by Matt Valentine on Buddhaimonia !

Attachment is the origin, the root of suffering; hence it is the cause of suffering.

– The Dalai Lama

You’ve probably seen or read something like it before on the Internet.

A beautiful image with a short quote that says something to the significance of “let it go” (if you don’t believe me, type “let go” into Google and look under the images tab).

And I’m not talking about the Frozen theme song, I’m talking about the idea of letting go of things in your life, whatever that may be.

But rarely is it actually explained how to actually “let it go”. More often than not it’s become no more than a slogan for happy living, with vague guidance at best.

What I do find interesting though is that most of us seem to realize intuitively how important it is to live without clinging to things, even if we’re not exactly sure how that’s supposed to happen.

But there’s a vast amount of wisdom in Eastern thought that can help us learn how to let go of the many things which bind us and keep us from finding peace as well as keep us from experiencing the limitless freedom that exists in our everyday lives. That’s where the teaching on non-attachment comes in.

The teaching on non-attachment, as described in Buddhist and Hindu thought, is often misunderstood- especially in the West.

It’s usually misunderstood as the detaching from all worldly things in a physical sense. Which most of us aren’t all that interested in doing (and, also intuitively, we feel is unnecessary). The common image of a monk or yogi living and meditating away from civilization doesn’t help that misconception either.

In fact, when Buddhism first came to China somewhere around 2,000 years ago by way of these reclusive and hermit-like practicing Buddhists, the Chinese apparently didn’t dig it all that much either. They didn’t see the point of removing yourself entirely from worldly activities and becoming these sort of recluses from society.

But they were very much interested in Buddhism in general, and would go on to spur one of the most significant reforms in Buddhist history- the birth of what’s called “Mahayana” (or “the great vehicle”) Buddhism.

The reason I mention this story is to illustrate why it can be so dang confusing to understand what’s meant by non-attachment in ancient Eastern thought. This is because technically there is a side of Buddhism that’s about becoming that mountain recluse or hermit and living by yourself for the rest of your life.

Fortunately, the Chinese realized the truth early on that such a way of living only aided in the path to realizing peace and was in no way a requirement.

The truth is peace and the ultimate freedom can be obtained right here within everyday life. So then if stripping yourself of all possessions and worldly responsibility isn’t the point of non-attachment, what is?

What is Non-Attachment?

The Buddhist teaching on non-attachment is ultimately about realizing the truth of yourself. That is, realizing that you’re an expression of the entire cosmos. That you’re in the cosmos, that the entire cosmos is in you in a very real and observable way, and that there is no separating the two (and everything that comes with the realization).

And the teaching on non-attachment is about living in such a way that you live without such obstructions that keep you from realizing this.

So, for instance, it’s not about not being able to get married, something which Chinese Buddhists began allowing which Indian Buddhists didn’t, it’s about not attaching yourself to your spouse or the concept of marriage.

This means living in a way that instead of keeping this image of your spouse in your mind and falling in love with that image, consequently running into problems when that image changes, you let them free and accept them fully for who they are in each moment no matter what changes.

In Zen Buddhism, when students complete their study they’re allowed to enter back into a “normal” life and do things such as marry and take jobs. This is because it’s understood in Zen that non-attachment isn’t about physical items, locations, and such, it’s about the ideas we occupy our minds with.

It’s about what we believe about ourselves and the world around us.

This means that you could lead a perfectly normal life on the surface, but from within live in a way that you don’t attach yourself to any of the things that are a part of your life.

This doesn’t mean you stop caring about them, on the contrary you appreciate them so much more because you’re ever-aware of that they won’t last forever.

So just as you can hold a picked flower in your hand, being well aware that the flower will wilt and die in a matter of days, taking in the smell and beauty of the flower, you can live your entire life savoring every moment knowing that in each moment everything can (and often does) change.

How We Attach in Our Everyday Life

Any belief that you’re this separate entity which exists detached from the rest of existence, and your attempts to cling to these ideas as well as your attempts to cling to expectations about the way the world is supposed to work, cause friction between yourself and the rest of the interconnected world and result in pain and the inability for you to find peace. Ultimately, in a nutshell, that’s what it all comes down to.

But what does this look like in your everyday life? Putting aside all the cosmos this and interconnected that talk, how can we begin to notice this in our daily lives?

When it comes down to it, all attachment originates with the ego. The ego, a construct which was built through years of conditioning and is in no way a “real” part of you at all, is what convinces you that you’re this separate entity disconnected from all other living and non-living things.

So how does this look in our everyday lives? Your ego is an image, it’s who you believe yourself to be. And when reality doesn’t match up to the image, friction happens and pain occurs. Pain caused by your attachment to the ego could come from:

  • Not hitting your personal performance goals at work, leading you to question if your abilities are declining.
  • Not performing as well during a basketball game with some old friends as you used to when you were younger, realizing you’re not as fit as you used to be and maybe no longer the athlete you thought yourself as.
  • Finding out your spouse cheated on you and your dream of having a family and living the rest of your life with this great person consequently shattering.

Also, when life doesn’t = your expectations, the same happens:

  • Losing a loved one and having to come to grips with the fact that this person who meant so much to you and who you’re used to having in your life is gone forever.
  • Being fired from the job you’ve had for the past 10 years and thought you’d spend the rest of your life at.
  • A co-worker whom you trusted stabbing you in the back to win a promotion over you.
  • To see this more clearly, think about something that doesn’t surprise you. Think about a sandwich. Let’s say you really like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and you’re used to having one every afternoon for lunch.

Provided everything goes as normal, you enjoy your sandwich and have a pleasant lunch. But if it turns out your husband or wife pranked you and threw some soy sauce in there when they made your sandwich (no wonder they offered to make it today…), you wouldn’t have a very pleasant lunch.

The surprise of the PB&J not adding up to your expectation is what caused you the pain, not that soy sauce was in it.

If you were to have eaten that sandwich like you had never had a peanut butter sandwich before in your life, without expectations, not only would the real thing have tasted better, experiencing every bite like the first time, but you wouldn’t have been disappointed when you were pranked with the PB&JS (peanut butter and jelly-soy) your spouse made for you because you would have had no expectation of how it should taste.

How to Let Go

The same basic ingredients apply in all methods of letting go, but there’s multiple ways to go about doing it. One very important point I want to mention with regards to the entire subject though is to not attach yourself to any one method of letting go.

It sounds odd that you can find a new attachment through trying to let go of all attachments, but it’s a very real thing to look out for. Don’t get mixed up thinking the finger pointing the way to the moon is the moon itself.

What this means is, first and foremost non-attachment is a state of mind. New attachments will always threaten you, so to live with the state of mind of non-attachment, to realize the importance of living in a way that you go with the natural flow of things and respect the impermanence of all life, is the basis of realizing non-attachment.

Again, there’s many ways to go about it all, but the first step is generally to begin working to identify the ego.

This is generally done through some form of meditation, particularly mindfulness as it allows you to observe yourself “silently” in a way and watch what unfolds and arises from within you. This can take time, and can be challenging, but the process itself is very rewarding.

To strive to live with mindfulness in each moment, whether you’re sitting on the meditation cushion, walking from one place to the next, or are at work, is to shine a light on your entire life and uncover the presence of the ego in each area of your life, even the furthest reaches that lay hidden deep in your subconscious.

To live with mindfulness is also to live fully engaged and yet unattached in that very moment. To be mindful is to be open and accepting of whatever may come in any moment, so mindfulness is a multipurpose tool in letting go of the many attachments we often hold.

But there’s another way to help us let go in our everyday life. To look deeply at those things in our everyday life, especially ourselves, is to realize not only the interconnected nature of all things but also the impermanence (that is, the fact that nothing lasts forever).

This is a technique I go into detail about in Zen for Everyday Life, but because there’s so many ways to use it I’d like to go over another way you can use contemplative meditation to begin helping you let go of the many things you cling to.

Meditating on the End of Your Life

Meditating on death sounded like a bit of a harsh title, but that’s essentially what this meditation is about. Keep in mind, you don’t have to go too deep here. If you do choose to do so though, be careful, you might not like everything you find (which is the same in all forms of meditation, but especially so for this). But I can promise you it will be healing.

This is just another way of taking contemplation, the act of looking deeply at a thing as far back as it will go, and using it on yourself to help you let go of the various attachments that inhibit you from finding peace.

To meditate on death, simply imagine it’s your time and everything that will come with it. You could be on a hospital bed, your personal bed, or somewhere else.

For best effect, imagine the process is pretty far along, and you’ve been looking back on your life. You’ll likely have to sit with this exercise for some time before things begin coming to the surface, but they will come.

Maybe you begin seeing flashes of your daughter, who you’ve fought with for years, come into your mind. You won’t always know why, but by focusing your mind on this near-death event certain things will arise naturally.

Part of this process can be active with contemplation, trying to actively imagine what kinds of things you might regret, want to have done differently, or feel relieved you can finally let go of, and another part of it could be more passive by simply thinking about the situation to yourself for a moment and then proceeding to sit and follow your breath with mindfulness and then acknowledging whatever thoughts arise as a part of that.

However you decide to do it, meditating on the end of your life, the entire experience in as much detail as you can possibly imagine, can be a powerful and highly beneficial exercise.

The Power of Letting Go

What is it like to let go completely? You’ll have to find out for yourself, but there’s a few major changes that will occur as a result of you learning how to overcome all attachments and live freely:

1. You’ll see the beauty in all of life and experience it in its fullness without any “distortion”.

2. You’ll be completely free in each moment and in the truest sense, no longer chained down to attachments.

3. You’ll find peace through having learned how to let go, stop causing friction to your being, and ultimately expressing your true nature.

4. You’ll gain the ability to adapt to any and all changes and keep your peace of mind.

5. You’ll find a great sense of joy in every moment and realize life as one great big adventure because you’re no longer held down by anything.

If you want to learn how to let go and live truly free in each moment, Zen for Everyday Life is a great resource that can begin you on the path and equip you with the tools you’ll need. You can get Zen for Everyday Life and learn more about the book by clicking here:

If only we could all see how everything really is energy ... flowing through all living systems in the world of form, our understanding of ourselves with relation to the perceived external would definitely change from an ego centric view to a knowing of inherent unity. This ongoing dance between Yin and Yang energies of the Cosmos ... the Shiva Shakti energies ... the realm of the invisible / unmanifest and the manifested reality ... is what creates our experiences in life. By becoming more aware of how we interact with energies around us we can become more in control of our self while being sensitive to others energies. Tree Hugging is not just for Hippies ! Contrary to popular belief, hugging or even just being in the vicinity of a tree can boost one’s health in several ways.

In a recently published book by author Matthew Silverstone, Blinded by Science, evidence confirming trees and their healthful benefits includes their effect on mental illnesses, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), concentration levels, reaction times, depression, and the ability to alleviate headaches.

According to countless studies cited within the book, children show extreme psychological and physiological effects in term of improved health and well-being when they interact with plants. It was recorded that children function better cognitively and emotionally in green environments and have more creative play in green areas.

A large public health report studying the association between green spaces and mental health also noted that “access to nature can significantly contribute to our mental capability and well being.”

Beginning practitioners of Chinese internal organ massage (Chi Nei Tsang) are taught how to commune with trees. Shouldn’t this be part of everyone’s education?

by Mantak Chia

“Chi Nei Tsang: Internal Organs Chi Massage”, Mantak and Mannewan Chia’s manual for practitioners of traditional Chinese medical massage, is yet another fine fruit of Chinese Taoist cosmology. Mao retained Traditiional Chinese medicine while otherwise industrializing his country, which allowed China to continue its multi-millenia tradition of developing this great clinical science unencumbered by Communist dogma (while also spreading it throughout the Western world). That a large percentage of potential in-patient visitors to Chinese hospitals are almost immediately discharged on the basis of a chi massage argues for what a serious and effective medical methodology it is. How playful and profound the artful science of Chinese internal organ massage actually is can be at least partially appreciated through the exercises presented below.

COLLECTING TREE ENERGY

1. The Healing Abilities of Trees

Taoist Masters observed that trees are tremendously powerful plants. Not only can they absorb carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen, but they can also absorb negative forces and transform them into good energy. Trees strongly root with the Earth, and the more rooted the tree, the higher it can extend to Heaven. Trees stand very still, absorbing the Earth’s Energy and the Universal Force from the Heavens.

Trees and all plants have the ability to absorb the light of the energies and transform it into food; in fact, they depend on light for most of their nourishment, while water and earth minerals make up about 30% of their nutritional intake. Trees are able to live very long lives.

a. The Tree as a Healer and Friend

Trees are the largest and most spiritually advanced plants on earth. They are constantly in meditation, and subtle energy is their natural language. As your understanding of this language grows, you can begin to develop a relationship with them. They can help you open your energy channels and cultivate calm, presence, and vitality. You can reciprocate by helping them with their own blockages and devitalized areas. It is a mutually beneficial relationship that needs cultivation.

b. Choosing a Tree to Work With

Throughout history human beings have used all parts of the tree for healing and medicine. The best trees for healing are big trees, especially pines. Pine trees radiate Chi, nourish blood, strengthen nervous systems, and contribute to long lives. They also nurture souls and spirits. Pines are the “Immortal Tree.” Early Chinese poetry and painting is full of admiration for pines.

Although pine trees are often the best choice, many other trees or plants can be used. The larger trees contain the most energy. Among the most powerful are trees growing near running water. Some trees feel warmer or hotter than others; some feel cooler or colder than others. Practice distinguishing the varying properties of different trees.

1. Cypress and cedar trees reduce heat and nourish Yin energy.
2. Willow trees help to expel sick winds, rid the body of excess dampness, reduce high blood pressure, and strengthen the urinary tract and bladder.
3. Elm trees calm the mind and strengthen the stomach.
4. Maple trees chase sick winds and help reduce pain.
5. Locust trees help clear internal heat and help balance the weather of the heart.
6. Banyan trees clear the heart and help to rid the body of dampness
7. Cinnamon trees can clear coldness from the heart and abdomen.
8. Fir trees help clear up bruises, reduce swelling, and heal broken bones faster.
9. Hawthorn trees help aid digestion, strengthen the intestines, and lower blood pressure,
10. Birch trees help clear heat and dampness from the body and help to detoxify it.
11. Plum trees nourish the spleen, stomach, and pancreas and calm the mind.
12. Fig trees clear excess heat from the body, increase saliva. nourish the spleen. and help stop diarrhea.
13. Ginco trees help strengthen the bladder and alleviate urinary problems in women.

You do not need to go far out into the forest to find an appropriate tree to work with. Trees that are used to having people around understand our energy and are actually more accessible and friendly than those far out in the wilderness. City parks and suburban yards are filled with powerful and accessible trees that would love to have closer relationships with the humans that dominate their environment.

There is a certain size range within which trees are most accessible to human beings. When a tree is too small, it does not have enough energy to make much of an impression on you. When the tree is too big, you have the opposite problem, so it takes more persistence to get large trees to take an interest in you. As a source of healing energy, it is best to choose a large, robust tree from within the accessible size range. For playful interaction it is best to choose a small to medium sized tree. While it is not necessary to climb the tree to develop a relationship, it does open up a whole new world, Climb gently and carefully so as not to harm the tree.

c. Establishing Communion with a Tree

There are certain methods to approaching, interacting with, retreating from and taking leave of a tree. By following specific steps you create a ritual of silent communion that both you and the tree can understand, and so increase the potential for harmonious interaction. The steps were derived from observation of the natural course of events in subtle energy communion, and apply to communion with just about anything: tree, rock, human, or animal, although the following is concerned specifically with trees.

First of all, each tree, like each person, has a personality, desires, and a life of its own. Trees differ widely in their taste for human contact. Some are very generous and want to give you all the energy you can take. Others are weak or ill and need your comforting and healing energy. Some are just friendly souls who enjoy human company. Others are quite indifferent to you. You can learn and grow by working with all of them. Try to be open and respectful, rather than pressing the trees to serve your own purposes. In this way they will provide you with more than just another source of Chi: friendship, playful expression, and love.

Trees operate on a longer time scale than do human beings. You can help to bridge this gap by returning again and again to the same tree, so that a relationship develops. Visit regularly so that the tree knows when to expect you and can look forward to seeing you. You may have the distinct impression that the tree really misses you when you are gone for a longer time than usual.

Spiritual communion with trees resembles resembles love more than any other human activity. As such, a quality of sensuality and tenderness should be present. You do not always have to be in control of the situation. Allow some time to just relax and melt into the communion. Let the tree lead you into the wonders of its own inner life. Working with trees in this way can help to ease sexual frustration. You may find that some of the practices presented here can be easily adapted for use in lovemaking.

2. Practicing with a Tree and the Earth’s Force

a.Use the Palms to Absorb Yin Chi and Help Balance Yang Energy (Figure 2-29)
Morning to noon time is the best time to practice with a tree.

1. Assume a Position. Stand or sit one or two feet in front of a tree.

2. Open Yourself to a Tree. Relax and center yourself. Feel your boundaries soften. Allow yourself to become more receptive and somewhat vulnerable, ready to make contact with the tree. Feel your energy field open like a flower, neither emitting nor absorbing energy, just becoming open and available (Figure 2-30).

3. Offer a Welcome. Extend your arms and face the palms of your hands toward the tree. Extend your energy toward the tree with a friendly ‘offering” attitude. When the tree responds by extending its energy to you, accept it, breathing it into your body with an attitude of “welcome.” Use your mind and eyes as follows. With the lower part of the eyes, concentrate on the tip of your nose. With the upper part of the eyes, look at your palms and at the tree.

Let your intuition guide you as you respond to the tree again with another “offering” gesture. Proceed with several of these exchanges. Take your time and really feel what is happening.

Use the left palm, the mind, and the upper part of the eyes to absorb the Chi.

4. Parallel Tracking. Remain centered within yourself, neither approaching nor retreating, and simply observe the subtle relationship between you and the tree. Use meditative concentration to become very absorbed in your connection with the tree, without actively trying to change or analyze what is going on. Do not try to deepen the communion or lessen it. Control your own energy and watch the tree while the tree controls its own energy and watches you. This is known as Parallel Tracking. Such a neutral state may occur several times during a session at deep as well as shallow levels of intimacy.

5. Draw and Hold Close. Allow the energy field between you and the tree to intensify, thicken, and contract to Draw and Hold Close the two of you together. There may or may not be physical movement involved. The sensation is that the two of you are being enfolded in a cocoon of energy while more and more of your inner cores are exposed to each other. Finally you hold each other in an embrace of deep intimacy.

Drawing and Holding Close often happens spontaneously as the offering and welcoming escalates to become circulating and sharing, or as the circulating and sharing moves to deeper and deeper levels.

6. Guide the Chi. As with all Healing Tao practices, it is necessary that you train your eyes and mind to move and guide the Chi. This practice is also useful in training yourself to recognize and be aware of the quality of the tree’s energy. Feel the tree’s energy when it enters your body. As you send it out to the tree, combine it with Human Plane (Cosmic Particle) Energy. Notice how the energy feels when it returns to you from the tree: enhanced with a cool, healing quality. Notice also how the quality of the energy changes after nine, eighteen, 24, and 36 cycles.

Move the upper part of the eyes to guide the Chi slowly up the inside Yin side) of the left arm, to the left shoulder, the left side of the neck, the left ear, and the crown. From the crown move the Chi down the right side to the back side of the right ear, to the right neck, the right shoulder, inside the right arm, to the right palm. Project the Chi out into the tree trunk. Absorb the Chi again in a circle (the Yin Energy Circle): 36 cycles for men and 24 cycles for women. (Figure 2-30)

7. Extend to a Deeper Level. Now begin to exchange energy with the tree on a deeper level. To share with the tree on a deeper level means to place a particular part of your body in contact with a particular part of the tree’s body, and breathing the energy back and forth between them. To circulate now means guiding the energy along a path which passes through both of your bodies and returns to its starting point. You can guide the Chi as in (6) above. Eventually you will discover many different patterns are possible.

8. Drawing and Holding Back to End Gracefully. Drawing and Holding Back is very important. It prevents you from absorbing more energy from the tree than you can harmoniously utilize. It also prevents you from draining too much energy from a small or weak tree, or leaving such a tree with too much of your unprocessed negative energy. In addition, it seals off the connections you have made with the tree so that energy is not leaked into the environment after you leave. All in all, it makes for an aesthetically complete meditation and shows respect for the tree. When you have had enough and wish to begin your return to normal consciousness or just to a less deep level of communion, try to do so slowly and gradually so as not to disturb the beauty of what you have just shared. The sensation is one of gradually returning to yourself, sorting out the energy that belongs to you from the energy that belongs to the tree, and re-establishing the boundary between you.

It is important to note at this time that if, after you have done the healing, you still feel a lot of energy in your hands, close the crown point to seal it so that your healing energy will not continue to flow out.

Trees have a great liking for human contact and you will probably be ready to go long before the tree is ready to have you leave.

a. You need to gradually withdraw your attention from the contact, and turn your attention more upon yourself.

b. As you do this, much of the shared energy will be drawn into your body. When this happens, just “push back” at the stream of tree energy to prevent most of it from entering your body while allowing your human energy to return.

c. Then, when your polarities reverse, allow the tree energy to flow back into the tree, but keep your own conscious energy within your body.

d. After a couple of exchanges, the tree will get the idea and begin to cooperate with you. In a little while you will be fully back in your own body and ready for the closing.

e. To disengage from a powerful circulation pattern, gradually focus your attention on the navel area, the place to end the meditation. As the energy collects there, allow any excess to flow into the tree.

f. If the tree tries to feed you energy from another point, push back at this flow in the manner described above.

g. Eventually the pattern will cease, and you will be sharing energy with the tree at the selected point. Now you can sort out what energy belongs to you and what belongs to the tree to complete the drawing back.

h. When you are very deep into communion with a tree, you will probably have “too far to go” to draw back in one step. Instead, after a partial drawing and holding back, resume circulating and sharing, but in a less intense manner. Gradually, after several of these steps, you will some wholly back to yourself.

9. Closing. Always end with a closing. The closing is a precise and somewhat abrupt gesture which breaks the connection, locks into place any healing that may have occurred, and imparts a feeling of good will, all within a second or two. The closing may be a movement, a sound, or just a change in the subtle energy field, such as the clap of the hands, or a nod of the head. A smooth movement of a fist in an upward arc, ending with a little downward punch is very effective. The sounds “Ho” or “Amen” used to end prayers are also examples of closing gestures. So is a firm handshake, or a little squeeze at the end of a hug. Follow this with a little wave of the hand, or a quick kiss on the trunk to complete your closing.

Sections (7), (8), and (9) above are used to intensify, slow down, and end the exercises below and can be used at any time to end your communication with your selected tree.

b. Use the Fingers to Absorb Yang Energy to Help Balance the Yin Energy (Figure 2-29)

1. Stand approximately one to two feet in front of a tree. Move slowly and smoothly, gradually approaching the tree. Feel the field of energy surrounding you become thick like honey.

2. Extend your arms out toward the tree with your palms facing the tree and your fingers extended.

3. As you slowly adjust your position to be closer and closer to the tree, less “honey” separates you from the bright energies found at its core.

4. Similarly, your own radiance is revealed to the tree.

5. At the same time the honey-like energy surrounding you acts like a protective cocoon, and your awareness of the outside world fades. As you arrive at the tree and wrap yourself around it in a big hug, your radiant energies link up with each other and you may lose yourself for a few moments in the bliss of union.

6. After making contact in this way, you may need to hold still for a while until the new, deeper connections between you and the tree stabilize and simplify. Soon you will find yourself in the state of parallel tracking described previously from which circulating and sharing will develop.

7. Feel the energy of the tree first. When you feel the tree’s Chi, use the mind, eyes, and lower part of the eyes to concentrate on the tip of the nose. The upper part of the eyes looks at the tips of the fingers and the tree.

8. Use the left fingers, the mind, and the upper part of the eyes to absorb the Chi inward.

9. Move the upper part of the eyes slowly to guide the Chi up the outside (Yang side) of the left arm, to the left shoulder, the left side of the neck, and the left ear to the crown. Move the energy down the right side beginning with the back side of the right ear, to the right neck, the right shoulder, outside the right arm, to the right palm and fingers. Project the energy out from the fingers, combine it with Cosmic Particle Energy, and guide it into the tree trunk. Absorb it again in a circle. Men repeat the cycle 36 times; women repeat the cycle 24 times. (See Figure 2-30)

10. If you wish to end the experience at this or any point, follow the procedures of (a)(7), (8), and (9) above to intensify, slow down, and finally break your connection with the tree.

The Yang Energy Circle will help you become more sensitive to chronic and more superficial pain as well as the energy in the Yang organs (large and small intestines, gall bladder, bladder, and stomach).

c. Use the Palms to Absorb Tree Chi; the Yin Side

1. Sit or stand approximately one to two feet in front of a tree.

2. Extend your arms out toward the tree with your palms facing the tree. (Figure 2-31)

3. Feel the energy of the tree first. When you feel the Chi of the tree, use your mind, eyes, and palms to absorb the Chi through your palms. Move the Chi up the inside (the Yin sides) of both arms to both shoulders, both sides of the neck, and the left and right ears, to the crown. From the crown move the energy down the Functional Channel to the mid-eyebrow, throat, heart, solar plexus, navel, and the cauldron behind the navel.

4. Continue to move the energy down from the cauldron to the perineum, to the soles of the feet, and then approximately ten feet into the ground.

5. Bring the energy up to the roots of the tree, then up into the tree trunk. Feel your energy flow through the tree, then emerge from the trunk into your palm. Repeat the cycle nine, eighteen, 24, or 36 times.

6. Practice sending your energy through the tree trunk from the right palm, through the tree, to the left palm, and from the left palm, through the tree, to the right palm. Men should practice for 36 cycles; women should practice for 24 cycles. It is most important to feel your energy penetrate the tree.

7. Practice distinguishing different parts of the tree. Start with the upper trunk. Send your energy into the trunk and feel it reverberate. Slowly kneel down to practice with the lower trunk. Then practice with the roots of the tree. Feel and exchange the force with the tree.

d. Absorb Tree Chi through the Crown

1. Stand approximately two to three feet in front of a tree with your arms at your side. Feel the tree’s aura. (Figure 2-32) If you do not feel it, you can move in closer.

2. When you feel the tree’s aura, use your crown to absorb the energy. The tree’s balanced energy can feel very gentle and soft and have a very powerful healing effect.

3. Draw the tree energy into your crown and let it flow down through the Thrusting Channels or through the Functional Channel to the perineum, then down to both feet. Move the energy out through the soles of your feet into the ground. Bring the energy from the ground to the roots of the tree, then up its trunk.

4. Feel yourself absorb the Earth Energy and the tree energy. (Figure 2-33) Feel them purify your energy, removing negativity and sick energy. When you feel it emerge from the trunk of the tree, absorb the Human Plane (Cosmic Particle) Energy, and return the energy to your crown. You will feel the combined energies nourish your brain, glands, and organs. Repeat the process nine, eighteen, or 36 times.

e. Share with the Tree from the Heart

In this pattern tree energy is run through the arms and heart center. It may be used to clear a healer’s arms of sick energy accumulated in work, or just to open the heart.

1. Assume any comfortable position in which your hands can easily reach a branch.

2. Reach one arm out to touch the tree with the palm or fingertips. Feel the vital energy just under the bark and make contact with it, allowing some time for the contact to develop.

3. After a while you will feel the sharing begin as a gentle breathing back and forth between your hand and the tree.

4. Gradually extend the process until you are breathing energy through the entire length of the arm, back and forth from your heart center to the tree. Let this back and forth sharing go on for some time.

5. Next, get the other arm involved. It may rest on the same branch, near the other hand, or it may rest on an entirely different branch.

6. Allow the tree energy to flow in along one arm, mix with your own energy in the heart center, and flow out the other arm. Every so often reverse the direction of flow in one or both arms.

7. For a deeper experience try extending the flow from the heart down to the navel, letting it go from tree to heart, to navel, and back.

8. Where does the energy go after it leaves your hands and enters the tree? By following it with your mind, you will begin to discover more about the subtle anatomy of the tree.

9. You may find blocked or congested areas that you can work on by running energy out one hand and into the other. Feel the tree’s response to your efforts, and let intuition guide you.

f. Absorb Earth Energy

1. Create warmth in your navel and bring the energy up to the crown.

2. Project the Chi out into the top of the trunk of the tree. Enter the tree and feel that you have a connection with it.

3. During this process you can stand farther away from the tree (ten to thirty feet). As your practice continues you can project your energy easily from far away into the tree. Let the tree take in your negative or sick energy. The energy you receive back will be balanced.

4. Let your energy flow down the trunk of the tree to its roots and into the Earth. (Figure 2-34) Let the Earth Energy purify your energy. Bring this combined energy up through the soles of your feet to the perineum, then up through the Thrusting Channels, or through the Governor Channel running up the spine. Let the energy flow up to the crown and project it outward again. Repeat the process nine, eighteen, or 36 times.

The more you repeat the process, the more your energy will refine and increase. You will notice the Thrusting Channels and the Microcos¬mic Orbit are cleaner and brighter. Once you have established a good connection with the tree, you can send your sick energy to the tree from a far distance to refine your energy or improve your health.

g. Meditate While Sitting Under a Tree

Once you have developed the ability to feel the tree’s Chi, you can sit under the tree and meditate. Draw the tree’s energy into you through the stations (points) of the Microcosmic Orbit. (Figure 2-35)
