Jesus Used Cannabis : Holy Anointing Oil

The word Cannabis derives from the Hebrew word Kaneh-Bosem which literally translates 'Fragrant Cane' and is known to have been an integral part of healing rituals during the time of Jesus and considered a holy sacrament by the ancient wise ones. Jesus did in fact use the same herb as his ancient semitic ancestors, and which is still used by people around the world for its enlightening and healing properties. Jesus used cannabis based oils to heal eye and skin diseases and his very name derives from being anointed with cannabis enriched holy oil.

The Greek title "Christ" is the translation of the Hebrew word Messiah, which in English becomes "The Anointed". The Messiah was recognized as such by his being anointed with the holy anointing oil, the use of which was restricted to the instillation of Hebrew priests and kings.

"Anointing was common among kings of Israel. It was the sign and symbol of royalty. The word 'Messiah' signifies the 'Anointed One', and none of the kings of Israel were styled the Messiah unless anointed."

The ancient recipe for this anointing oil, recorded in the Old Testament book of Exodus (30: 22-23) included over nine pounds of flowering cannabis tops, Hebrew "kaneh-bosem"( pluralized ; singular is kaneh-bos), extracted into a hind (about 6.5 litres) of olive oil, along with a variety of other herbs and spices. The ancient chosen ones were literally drenched in this potent cannabis holy oil.

"Knowledge and healing were two aspects of the same life-force. If to be rubbed with the 'Holy Plant' was to receive divine knowledge, it was also to be cured of every sickness. James suggests that anyone of the Christian community who was sick should call to the elders to anoint him with oil in the name of Jesus The Twelve are sent out among their fellow-men casting out demons and anointing the sick with oil (Mark 6:13)."

Awaken to the wonderful gifts the Hemp Plant has to offer, assisting us towards creating a more sustainable ecological balance with Mother Earth.

KNH = Hemp
BSM = Spice or drug
hashish = drug of the hemp

The holy anointing oil was made from hashish and 'liquid myrrh'.

jesus was the magic mushroom, therefore jesus could not have used cannibis because cannabis is smoked by humans, unless psychoactive plants can smoke weed.

There are mistaken and untrue references to historical facts and writings.
I found more than 1 fact stated to be taken out context just to make cannabis look good.

I smoke MJ, 1-8 times a month. So im not a hater at all - i just see how you like to state facts and interpret them for your liking.

That is NOT cool and is offensive for many.

and another thing - you should (well, ill do it now) note that it was oil ONLY. s most of medical uses are for HEMP oil - that has hardly to do something with female plant smoking.

Just not to be mistaken or miss-used as argument!

23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
24 And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:
25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.

... Here is something that might help dispel some of the doubts you might have about what's being said here ... Sula Benet (1967) claimed that the plant kaneh bosm קְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם mentioned five times in the Hebrew Bible is Cannabis ... although most dictionaries of plants of the Bible typically identify the plant in question as either Acorus calamus or Cymbopogon citratus. Ref : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_and_spiritual_use_of_cannabis .... THE ROOTS OF KANEH-BOSM

The first solid evidence of the Hebrew use of cannabis was established in 1936 by Sula Benet, a little known Polish etymologist from the Institute of Anthropological Sciences in Warsaw.'

The word cannabis was generally thought to be of Scythian origin, but Benet showed that it has a much earlier origin in Semitic languages like Hebrew, and that it appears several times throughout the Old Testament. Benet explained that "in the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament there are references to hemp, both as incense, which was an integral part of religious celebration, and as an intoxicant."

Benet demonstrated that the word for cannabis is kaneh-bosm, also rendered in traditional Hebrew as kaneh or kannabus. The root kan in this construction means "reed" or "hemp", while bosm means "aromatic". This word appears five times in the Old Testament; in the books of Exodus, the Song of Songs, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel.

The word kaneh-bosm has been mistranslated as calamus, a common marsh plant with little monetary value that does not have the qualities or value ascribed to kaneh-bosm. The error occurred in the oldest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, the Septuagint
in the third century BC, and was repeated in the many translations that followed." ... Ref : http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/1090.html ...

where do you see any Hebrew or Greek words........its called a bad translation.......most say sweet smelling cane or fragrant cane or like in your translation sweet calamus. The original Hebrew says Kaneh-Bosem
........... Canabose ........translsted correctly to english as Cannabis...perhaps you should freshen up your Hebrew and Greek .This is why there are hundreds of versions of the Bible,diffrent translations of words snd meaning.
