8th August 2015 is one of the most potent, high frequency days of this year, with amazing potential for positive change, both globally and personally.

Numerologically, 2015 is an 8 year (2+0+1+5 = 8.) The number 8 is associated with harmony, balance, abundance and power. When placed on its side, the 8 becomes the symbol for infinity ∞ and this is very apt as we are now stepping more into our role as co-creators of a New Earth with infinite creative possibilities.

The 8th August is the high point in what is known as the “Lion’s Gate”. This portal opens between 26th July and 12th August 2015 whilst the Sun is in the astrological sign of Leo the Lion. During this time, Galactic waves bathe the Earth with light keys and codes to assist in the evolution of the planet for the next cycle.

First we move through the rare triple 8 Lion’s Gate Activation on August 8th. During this event a Stargate is fully open streaming intense Light waves from the Great Central Sun, through our Sun, The Star Sirius, the Earth Grid Point of the Sphinx and The Great Pyramid of Giza. When the Sun is conjunct Star Sirius it creates a Solar Stargate that pours Solar Star Codes for mastery and ascension directly from Sirius.

This rare 8-8-8 Lion's Gate portal is a pivotal Cosmic Ascension event, as humanity and Gaia are thrust through the Lion's Gate portal into higher realms. You may feel like you are being pushed through the birth canal into a fresh new start. The triple 8 infinity energy represents: As Above, So Below and Within! Infinity Figure-8 symbolizes integration, abundance and balancing polarity into harmonious Union.

During the Lion’s Gate Activation, the 8-8-8 “wave” contains the new Light Codes of the Cosmic Ascension. It may feel like you are being pushed through the eye of the needle during the Lion’s Gate, which is why you can’t take anything from 3D with you. Take this time to let go of all attachments to the physical world. Open your grip and let go! It is vitally important you are open to fully receive these codes, to light up your DNA, to support you to make another quantum shift, furthering your personal growth!

The 888 Triple Infinity Lion's Gate Portal 8/8/2015 is the trigger to the Royal House of Sirius Feline frequency. There shall be many of these frequencies as you move forward into an inter-galactic society.

On August 8, Solar power will move into material form to be seen and felt. Uniting the two hemispheres of the brain in a cosmic fusion. Birthing a level of light that even the blind will be able to see. So powerful is this solar vibration we will have but one choice as it enters our energy field. The choice is to just allow it to pass through you like a solar wind, not holding on to any part of it. Like a cool breeze on a hot day just allow the solar emanations to encircle and embrace you without trying to corral them and tie them to the fence of humanness. Just this minute action will shift the future into a place that can been seen and felt.

The 8:8:8 STARGATE is symbolic of the human DNA kept separate and secret purposefully. The symbiotic relationship that humanity has had with earth life will shift into direct alignment with a time passageway. This time passageway is allowing a new seeding to occur that increases mental capacities, IQ and the ability to remember (near and far). For some time now the human brain has been in the shop being repaired. Too much information has been painful and not received or digested properly. Seeming to have Teflon coating the brain has been resistant, not wanting anything to stick to it. Each new set of thoughts triggered dormant fears that needed to be released and replaced with new strands of awareness.

The star Sirius rises every midsummer this rising is associated with new thought, new light, and new beginnings. It rises before the sun purposefully after being in stellar hiding for about 70 days. Sirius houses the Great White Brotherhood, the Lemurian Elders as well as the Christ Consciousness. It is now time to come from a point of high solar vibrations and allow this new light to shine on places within the psyche and history of earth that needs cleansed.

We stand at the base of the mountain of Creational maturity on our sojourn home to the Light. Everything in the universe opens its cupboards to show what has been hidden on all of its shelves. It is a personal choice as to how to wear this energy and wisdom. It has been laid at your anointed feet with a great love by those that have taken all of your evolutionary possibilities to heart.

What are the things that come to mind when you hear the word hippie? For most people who have not taken a deeper look into the hippie lifestyle, it is long hair, torn clothes, drugs and basically a lazy person who does nothing much in life. However, I beg to differ.

To me the term hippie symbolizes a person who is peace-loving, fun, free, spiritual, and creative while living life on his or her own terms. It may seem like an easy life, but it takes a lot of courage to break away from the power hungry corporate life that we as a society have created. So let’s take a brief look into what it takes to be a hippie.

To be a hippie you have to travel, at least a bit:

To travel is to explore the world and to explore the world is to explore yourself. Hippies love to travel not as tourists but in order to learn in-depth about various cultures and inculcate the best parts of them into their being. Hippies in the 60’s have travelled by buses, vans and even backpacked all the way from the U.S and Europe to Asian countries such as India, Nepal and Sri Lanka while working and earning along the way. In my books, that is definitely not easy.

You cannot be a true hippie without being sustainable:

Hippies try to be as organic and sustainable as possible. They believe that humanity should live and evolve along with the Earth rather than going against the natural course of nature. They are well aware of what they grow and eat. Today most of us buy food out of packages and have no idea what pesticides and chemicals are put into our food.

You got to love your music:

Hippies are groovy people who love their music and have created some of the most profound music of the century. They have managed to fuse various genres including rock & roll, jazz, blues and classical Indian music. The music of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana, Cream, The Beatles, CSNY and The Grateful Dead live on and have influenced millions around the world. Music festivals such as Woodstock, The Monterey Pop Festival and The Newport Folk Music Festival have not been forgotten for over 40 years now.

If not a director, you could be a hippie movie buff:

Some of the most artistic, well directed and thought provoking movies of the century have been filmed by hippies during their era. Films such as Easy Rider, The Trip, Head, 200 Motels and Yellow Submarine have underlying meanings which reinforced the hippie ideology of freedom, love, peace and music.

Do you love art as much as hippies do?

Hippies were creative geniuses. Colours were radiant, bright and trippy. Psychedelic art was found not just in art galleries but also on the streets, cars, buses and even on their clothes. The reason hippies loved colors is because they represent life and life should be led in a fun and colourful way.

Back in the 60’s, a lot of hippies hardly wore any clothing because they believed in absolute freedom of body and mind and they were very comfortable in their own skin. However they did create a solid fashion statement with their tie and dye apparels, torn jeans, the Janis Joplin shades, bandanas and natural jewellery made out of crystals, beads and seashells. Check out some cool hippie clothing at https://www.facebook.com/hippiemerch.

Are you spirituality rooted?

Due to the wide use of sacred plants and entheogens, many hippies turned towards spirituality as they were trying to build a deeper connection to the Earth and all living beings around them. Many hippies turned towards the spiritual aspect of eastern practices such as Yoga, Meditation, Kundalini and Zen.

It’s important to protest peacefully when your rights are violated :

Hippies are socially motivated and strive to protect the earth and bring everyone together. They want the world to be absolutely free and when human and Earth rights are violated, peaceful protests against wars, the destruction of the environment and so on are organized. Hippies used music to bring people together. Bob Dylan’s ‘Blowing in the wind’, John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For what it’s worth’ and Neil Young’s ‘Ohio’ are a few protest songs that created mass awareness through music and without them, the world as we know it would not have been the same.

It is Fun to speak the Hippie lingo :

Hippies had a lingo of their own and often used a lot of superlatives to describe events. Words such as flower power, cool, far out, peace, chill-out, bogart, take it easy, keep on truckin’ and dig-that were used prominently by hippies in the 60’s and some of them have stuck on to this day. It’s fun to add a few hippie words to your everyday speech and watch people’s reactions.

It’s not easy to be a hippie, but there is a lot that we as a society can learn from the by-gone era. There is no doubt that change is required in our present society. However, the most important part of being a hippie, is to keep your spirits high and have a whole lot of fun because life was never made to be taken too seriously. So how hippie are you?

Somehow, killing Cecil the Lion, who belongs to an endangered species has become a hot topic of discussion world wide with multiple social media platforms reporting about this inane act by a man who can be best described as 'toothless', ironically also a dentist who has now apparently shut office after the news went viral. Well, its not the first time someone has 'sportingly' killed a wild animal and posed next to their prized trophy, for Fun ? We humans are responsible for the killing of countless animals everyday for food, which some believe is still better than killing them as a sport. The pain an animal goes through is the same whether we kill for food or just for kicks to boost our own egos.

The killing of Cecil the Lion has outraged thousands worldwide, and should sensitize us humans towards other animals we torment continually. Here are some interesting videos about the killing of Cecil the Lion making headlines all over ....

Jimmy Kimmel shares his thoughts on the Minnesota dentist who illegally killed a lion who was a local favorite in Zimbabwe.

A Minnesota dentist, Dr. Walter J Palmer has been identified as the hunter who killed Cecil the Lion, a popular attraction in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park.

An interesting video from a Vegan about the positive side of this incident ...

Walter James Palmer, an American game hunter reportedly paid US$50,000 to a professional hunter, Theo Bronkhorst, to enable him to kill a lion. Cecil was allegedly lured out of the sanctuary where he was shot and wounded with an arrow. He was allegedly tracked approximately 40 hours later, and then finally shot dead with a rifle. He was then skinned and his head was removed. His tracking collar was missing from the carcass. It has been noted that the initial attempt to kill Cecil was with a crossbow which in some hunting circles, is viewed as requiring more skill and therefore superior to hunting with guns. This has led to accusations that Palmer was "showing off".

Palmer returned to the United States, then issued a statement that he relied on the expertise of his local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt and deeply regretted that his pursuit of an activity he loves and practices responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion.

Killing animals for fun or for food isn't something we humans should be part of in the first place ... If only we understood the karma we accrue by acting unconsciously, unaware of the pain and suffering animals go through to be the "tasty" food on our plate.

Its time we make better choices for the future of this planet and all living beings we share this space with.

João Meirinhos created a compelling and sublime documentary that reaffirms the power of the world's greatest traditional medicine, Ayahuasca. Assembling an impressive cast of traditional practitioners, aficionados and western converts, 'Mirror of the Spirit' bubbles like the brew itself to reveal the essence of the ayahuasca experience. And, like the ayahuasca vine, it entwines the viewer with an authentic and compelling message that is hard to resist.

Grounded in strong ethnographic roots, 'Mirror of the Spirit' captures the spirit of this eclectic mix of contributors all of whom have been transformed by the power of the medicine in a myriad different ways. Once again we are reminded that the message of Ayahuasca is more relevant today than at any point in our history.

Research questions:

- Why are, nowadays, mostly foreigners interested in going through the harsh processes of shamanic initiation?
- Do Western and Amazonian shamans share the same cosmological views about the possibility of life after death?
- Has the replacement of religious beliefs for science, reason and capital left a metaphysical void in modern societies?
