There is a lot of buzz on the internet about the Energy Wave of September 2015 and the impact it may have on our lives ... our spiritual growth and evolution. Many of us have been through some tough situations in life which have shaken us up and stirred our souls is more ways than one, bringing forth aspects of a splintered personalities across many lifetimes, which seek healing in the here and now, as the energy becomes more conducive to a 'Mega Spiritual Awakening', affecting billions worldwide.

The cleansing has begun ... and there are many of us who are experiencing what some call, 'The Dark Night of the Soul', when all that we have held sacred and true is suddenly, shaken up from its very foundations. Some of us are experiencing many new revelations and realizations about themselves and their loved ones ... some of which may not be very pleasant as the truth is further revealed to us. There are many of us who still haven't been able to break on through .... beyond our ordinary states of consciousness and access the many multi-dimensional realities we have access to .... Senses beyond the 5 physical ones are waiting to be discovered ... and it is up to each one of us to understand this shift, while aligning ourselves with our higher purpose on this Earthly plane. This massive wave of gamma energy emanating from our Galactic Center (Hunab Ku) gives us the opportunity to take quantum leaps in our spiritual evolution.

Scientifically, these energy waves have been noticed, measured and described as Gamma waves. Ultimately, however you look at them, or describe what is happening… In one form or another, we’re headed into a HUGE tsunami wave of LIGHT.

This of course, is right on Divine time and not to be feared. For a long time now the Earth and humanity have been receiving increased light, ascension codes, and consciousness downloads from the Divine through solar flares, gamma rays, angels ascended masters and ascension gateway openings.

Yes, 2012 ties into this wave of energy too. 2012 was a Divine cosmic alignment and the official entrance into the new paradigm of the new age. The 888 Lions Gateway relates as well, it was like a threshold we stepped over into the new paradigm ... Now the September Wave X Energy is the welcoming party. A full initiation into the new energy.

Here is an interesting article by Kathy Forti about the coming energy wave shift of September 2015 ... It is important that all lightworkers understand what is being said and align their energies with this massive surge coming through .......

I once had a media and communications professor ask a packed auditorium of journalism students the interesting question: “What is the singular factor that affects all of humanity? A factor that can start or stop wars? That can raise up civilizations or destroy them?” Not one student could come up with the right, yet so obvious, answer:  Space Weather. Almost 35+ years later, I still remember his words.

When I heard Dr. Simon Atkins recently talk about the ‘”WAVE X shift of 2015″ it made complete sense. Atkins is a well-known climate risk economist and planetary threat forecaster with a doctorate in Biometeo-electromagnetics. He uses the science of magnetism to bring clarity to what is presently occurring in our world.

Space weather not only influences, but guides humanity. Statistics show that when there are intense solar flares from space, 82% of the time there is a downshift in the stock market 1-3 days later. These same solar flare peaks are known to cause eruptions of violence between classes (sort of like the full moon effect). It’s a natural phenomenon, but its all due to magnetic waves that ultimately affect every living organism on our planet.

On a positive note, when there are coronal mass ejections from the sun (CMEs), humans are more likely to experience euphoria, calmness and ultimately peace. CMEs are explosions of electricity and energy in the form of electrons and protons, according to NASA. This magnetic energy that comes from our Sun (which is why the Ancients saw the Sun as the God Source) actually elevates consciousness levels. The Sun is the great benefactor. If you stay out of the Sun you quickly lose your connection to third eye consciousness. You also can experience depression and/or illness.

I experienced this first hand many years ago when I worked in a darkened lab doing altered states studies during daylight hours. I started not only getting oily skin and breaking out with facial eruptions (which I had never had), but I became quickly depressed. Something told me to take a few 15 minute breaks outside each day and just sit in the Sun. It was like a miracle cure. Like a plant, we need light to thrive. Without it, it will lead to dysfunction, be it emotional and/or physical. It’s a lesson I never forgot.

The BIG SECRET is the Sun is also connected to our evolutionary awakening. During the last half of September 2015, there is a powerful wave of gamma light coming from the Galactic Core. This intergalactic WAVE X energy will be coming through to Earth at maximum strength and peaking on September 28th. We are already well into it and feeling its effects. It happens every 3,600 years, and is being called “The Event Horizon.”  It is the next step in the evolutionary cycle of man.

As reported by Time Magazine, scientists know about this event, but are questioning what these mysterious intergalactic bursts are or, more importantly, what they will bring. Change, for sure. It is no coincidence that in the last 18 months worldwide earthquakes have suddenly quadrupled as this energy is beginning to be felt more and more on the planet. The earth is doing strange things. People of all countries and even the media have reported eerie sounding, and rather loud, groaning sounds coming from the earth. Expect more in August as these are signs of dimensional portals opening in the earth itself, says Atkins. Intergalactic WAVE X is getting closer. This is no Armageddon scenario as many biblical adherents are predicting, but a time when our cellular DNA is able to shift and open up our true gifts.

In 1984-1985, Dr. Peter Gariaev and his team of Russian linguists were studying DNA and the ways light, sound and frequencies interact with DNA. Their research led to many groundbreaking and paradigm-shifting discoveries with one of them showing that DNA is able to absorb and emit light (photons), which spirals along the double helix in sacred geometrical form. Literally, DNA creates magnetized wormholes in the time-space fabric. DNA acts as “tunnel connections between entirely different areas in the universe through which information can be transmitted outside of space and time. The DNA attracts these bits of information and passes them on to our consciousness.” The researchers found that with the presence of light (photons), DNA activation and thus evolution can occur.

This is the great awakening that has always been promised us. This is an incredible time to be alive to witness this shift. It does not pick favorites. It does not matter what race or religion you embrace. It is here for us all. We are the Oneness.

Some people believe that helpful extraterrestrials (ETs) are trying to slow down this planetary energy from being too much for us because this faster electromagnetic energy can cause some people to feel like they are going mad (it opens enhanced mind/thought patterns). Call it energy weirdness. It’s no coincidence that violence rates suddenly surged in the US during 2015, after years of showing a decline.

This new energy is nothing to fear. We want this WAVE X energy. It serves to cleanse and help raise the consciousness of humanity. There are those who might disagree and are doing their best to suppress it. The CERN particle accelerator in Switzerland is ramping up to go full steam on August 15, hoping to stop this galactic energy. They’ve spent trillions of dollars for this very purpose. The dark forces behind CERN know this energy shift will spell the beginning of the end of control of the masses as it begins shifting DNA. Just imagine a world where a greater percentage of people are fully awakened than ever before. The 1% who have worked hard to enslave humanity for their own greed and benefit—well, their days are numbered.

Everywhere in our world we are now seeing the awakening of humanity speed up. We are seeing massive rallies against corruption and rallies for peace spread. We are seeing tyranny, cover-ups and false flags exposed. And more importantly, we are seeing movements converging that offer solutions to these issues the world faces. People’s inner worlds of heart and mind are breaking free and we are seeing this have direct and positive impacts in our outer world.

If you talk to most people these days they all feel like something is getting ready to happen in the next month or two. Most don’t know what it is, but they can sense it. Whether it be a global currency reset, financial collapse, civil chaos, more earthquakes, or something else—as a collective mass we are the precipice of a new world emerging. Trust that this is not the end. You may be feeling more tired than usual lately—like you just can’t get enough restorative sleep. Maybe you’ve even taken to power napping—which is good. Take care of yourself. Your cells are already feeling the energy change.  No sense fighting it.  It will be interesting to see what emerges for us all.

Many people who have advanced metaphysical abilities will experience an opening that will allow them to be the teachers of abilities they never dreamed possible. People who are already reaching areas past the astral are going even further. Those who are already channeling information from their higher selves will have instant access to Universal Akashic records. In the very near future, teleportation should be possible through the dematerialization and re-materialization of the physical body as our bodies transform into more of a light body than a physical dense body. Regeneration and rejuvenation of the physical body will take care of all diseases and aging. Manifesting anything you need from the background energy will provide for limitless creation coupled with creative responsibility.

Those who have readied themselves for the manifestation of metaphysical abilities through healing and clearing will be able to tap into them with the introduction of Wave X. This is truly an exciting time to be alive on the planet no matter what chaos unravels around this transformation and upgraded capability.

The Indigos and Star Children will invent and manufacture the technology needed to clean the planet up. Those who have proven to be negative and service to self will be split from those who operate out of love and harmony. The world will be changed forever, not just a thousand years. How much the world will change will depend upon us, and how fast we get there will depend on how quickly we can dissolve the constraints. How big are you willing to dream?

Learn how WAVE X might affect you.

When it comes to the question of UFOs and Aliens, a majority of the populace on our Planet remain divided about their understanding and knowledge on the subject, thanks to all the disinformation propaganda and covert planting of false beliefs and self limiting ideas which have confused us, making it even more challenging to find the truth. There has been enough said about this on this website ... but its never enough, as we still have a long way to go before we are really ready to face what lies ahead of us ... Our true galactic origins and our deep connection with other races and advanced human civilizations. We are being nudged forward to see our true nature ..... realize our true origins which would make us realize how we are all united in spirit, however remain divided when we feed the illusions of separation !

Here is an article by Steven Greer about the UFO/ET questions and its implications ..... Hope this helps some of us deepen our understanding of whats really going on ... :)

NATIONAL SECURITY IMPLICATIONS OF THE UFO/ETI SUBJECT

A Brief Summary
by Steven M. Greer, M.D
August 1995

National security implications of the UFO/ETI subject are profound and far-reaching, albeit currently unrecognized.
These implications may be considered in separate but related aspects: those intrinsic to extraterrestrial activity and those arising from current covert management of the issue.

Historical Background:

Early national security considerations dealt with concern over public panic arising from the detection of near-earth and earth-landed extraterrestrial spacecraft (ETS), and from the technological implications of advanced extraterrestrial material as it may impact the arms race and Cold War. Additional concerns were related to the impact on religious belief systems, the political order and economic systems.

Importantly, once actual ETS were retrieved in 1947, thereby allowing extraterrestrial hardware to be studied and back-engineered for possible human military applications, the need for complete secrecy regarding the matter was deemed paramount by authorities at that time. Given the tensions of the early atomic era and the mounting 'Cold War' with the USSR, it is understandable that the introduction of extraterrestrial technology was thought to be destabilizing to an already dangerous situation. Moreover, given the history of technological secrets related to atomic and hydrogen weapons being stolen by agents of the USSR, there was understandable concern that any technological breakthrough related to extraterrestrial technology might find its way into Soviet hands. If such an event enabled the USSR to produce actual military applications before the US, obviously this would have placed the US military capability in a potentially catastrophic disadvantage.

Since the 1970's, we have reason to believe that a degree of cooperation on this matter has evolved with the USSR and the US and perhaps other nations. Certainly the end of the Cold War has largely removed earlier concerns vis a vis technological breakthroughs and the fear of Soviet aggression.

Moreover, the psychological reasons for secrecy related to public panic are not valid today. At least 57% of the population accept that UFOs are real and are of extraterrestrial origin. And 30-40 years of space exploration by human society has prepared the population for the possible existence of other extraterrestrial civilizations capable of space travel. In short, the previous concerns motivating secrecy are not relevant today. Intrinsically, there is no reason to believe that the extraterrestrial presence pose a threat to the national or world security. If hostility and aggression were related to their purpose here, it is likely that events
congruent with hostility would have transpired long before now. It is our assessment that the extraterrestrials are not hostile, but are very concerned with human capability related to warfare and the militarization of space. Activity by extraterrestrial assets related to the neutralization of ICBM facilities and to containing military-oriented space exploration should be understood in light of their concern over a known history of human aggression which has been coupled with the advent of weapons of mass destruction and space exploration. Indeed, given the past history of human military assets focusing on and pursuing extraterrestrial spacecraft, we believe the extraterrestrials have responded with remarkable restraint.

Ironically, the threat to national security exists not with the extraterrestrial presence, but the current covert management of the subject. In the absence of extra-terrestrial hostility over 50 years, current secrecy cannot be justified on the basis of fear of extraterrestrial aggression. A disclosure related to the extraterrestrial presence, if calmly and rationally presented, will not cause panic in the USA or elsewhere. 1995 is not 1945, and world society has evolved to the point where this information can be assimilated in a positive fashion.

In contrast, the covert and apparently extra-constitutional management of this matter is a real threat to national and world security, and undermines constitutional freedom and democracy. Unless it is terminated, this covert management will greatly harm US national security and the chances of a lasting world peace.

Assessment:

It is our assessment that the current covert management of this issue involves the following elements which are a direct, immediate and ongoing threat to the national security.

1. The continued denial of the extraterrestrial presence creates a situation where a sudden, undeniable public extraterrestrial event could induce panic, since proactive disclosure efforts which could ameliorate public fears are non-existent. It is likely that such a public extraterrestrial event will transpire within the next 2-10 years or sooner. Therefore, secrecy and denial are a real threat to national and world security.

2. The current covert management of this issue appears to be operating independently and outside of the constitutional chain of command. The group controlling these operations, which involves reconnaissance, extraterrestrial technology back-engineering, and space-based targeting of ETS (among others) is non-responsive to congressional or Executive Branch oversight and control. This constitutes a real and grave threat to national security and to constitutional democracy and freedom.

3. We have credible, first-hand sources who insist that extraterrestrial spacecraft have been targeted by human covert space weapons and on at least two occasions have been destroyed. If true, the risks to world peace and security are real and imminent, and the continuation of these covert activities constitute the gravest dangers to national and world security. Hostile actions taken by human covert assets against extraterrestrial assets constitute a grave and immediate threat to the national security. A relatively small, covert entity, acting without consultation with the United Nations, the Congress, the President of the United States, or the public is engaging in actions on behalf of all humans which endanger the earth and world peace. Unless controlled, these actions could precipitate interplanetary conflict and a disaster for the world generally and the United States specifically. This covert management must be terminated and control of this issue returned to constitutional authority and to public domain.

4. The concentration of the technological advances related to the back-engineering of extraterrestrial technology into the hands of a small covert operation constitutes a grave and immediate threat to the national security, to world security, and to the future of the earth. These extraterrestrial technologies, which have been the object of covert research and development for over 45 years, are potentially of great benefit to humanity if used wisely for peaceful purposes, but are of immense danger when concentrated into a small covert operation which is unresponsive to the public or the legal and constitutional chain of command. The threat this poses to the US and world security is great, and the longer this situation continues, the greater the concentration of advanced technological power in the hands of a relative few. The secret control of such powerful technologies is inherently a threat to freedom, democracy, and to our nation and the world. Its utilization for covert agendas outside constitutional control represents a grave danger to the US and must be restrained and reversed.

5. Importantly, secrecy and covert operatives per se constitute a real threat to the national security, since national security in a constitutional democracy can only be legitimately related to freedom and democratic government. Only in very rare and well- justified circumstances can extreme secrecy and covert operations exist, since by nature freedom and democracy cannot coexist with unrestrained secrecy and secret power. The profound implications of the detection of extraterrestrial civilizations cannot be allowed to be the exclusive domain of covert operations which are unrelated to public discourse and consultation. To do so is to undermine the US Constitution, democracy and freedom, and this constitutes a real and grave threat to national security.

6. Finally, exclusive covert control of this matter has resulted and continues to result in the loss of opportunity for the world to come to terms with the extraterrestrial presence in a peaceful and mutually beneficial fashion. This means that the people of the world, the United Nations and other international and national institutions are deprived of the opportunity to deal rationally with this issue. National and world security are therefore negatively impacted by the loss of opportunities in the following areas:

The environment, which is seriously at risk for large-scale collapse over the next 100 years, would be profoundly improved if extraterrestrial technologies could be peacefully deployed. So-called zero point or free energy systems, which are non-polluting, would permit a sustainable technological civilization to exist on earth and would transform the earth environmentally and economically. Establishing peaceful and mutually beneficial relations with extraterrestrial civilizations would eventually permit us to understand and apply such technologies.

World unity and peace will be enhanced by the global realization that we are not alone in the universe. The acknowledgement of this fact will enhance the awareness that we are really one people living on the shared homeland of earth, and many of the conflicts currently afflicting the earth will be seen in a new perspective. This can be achieved without either deifying or demonizing the extraterrestrial presence, but rather placing it in a fair, scientific, and neutral light. Eventually, world peace and a significant enhancement in the current geopolitical situation may result from the disclosure that we are not alone. An international infrastructure, and institutions capable of dealing peacefully with relations with extraterrestrial civilizations would, of necessity, evolve, and this in turn would strengthen world unity and cooperation.

World culture, ideas, science and many other diverse areas may benefit through the development of peaceful relations with other worlds. While this process may take decades, if not centuries, its delay only puts off the time when the people of the earth will be united not only globally, but with other planetary civilizations as well.

In summary, it is imperative to the national security that the President and Congress undertake measures to terminate the secret, covert management of the UFO/ETI subject. Failure to place this matter in open, public discourse and control constitutes the gravest failure of democracy and government in the history of the world. That we do this is a test of our faith in democracy and our faith in the people. As the 21st century approaches, we must roll up the cancerous excesses of secrecy which are the legacy of the Cold War and unfurl a new era wherein democracy is reaffirmed and a lasting world peace is given a chance.

Over the recent years, a small but growing group of researchers from Austria, Germany, Italy, UK, Japan, South Africa and the USA, has developed a new scientific field of research: the neurobiology of plants. Their discoveries question the traditional boundaries set between the animal and the vegetable kingdom: plants are capable to develop the cognitive process claimed by humans and animals.

If plants can move, and feel... Could they possibly think ? In a creative and captivating scientific investigation style, through spectacular specialist photography and CGI, and re-creating scientific experiments, this documentary is bound to change your own perception of plants.

Plants belong to another universe, a silent and seemingly simple world; they make food from sunshine, which in turn feeds the animal kingdom. But what if plants were keeping something from us? What if they have minds ? What if they are intelligent? Scientists are asking these very questions, do they perceive their environment? Do they have a memory? Could they have a nervous system?

To these men and women, the great divide between the plant and animal world is not that great at all.

Our disconnect from the natural world has led to the disastrous situation that we now find ourselves in on planet Earth, yet our deep feelings for nature form part of our spiritual longing.

Michael Pollan, author of such books as "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "The Botany of Desire," wrote the New Yorker piece about the developments in plant science. He says for the longest time, even mentioning the idea that plants could be intelligent was a quick way to being labeled "a whacko." But no more, which might be comforting to people who have long talked to their plants or played music for them.

The new research, he says, is in a field called plant neurobiology — which is something of a misnomer, because even scientists in the field don't argue that plants have neurons or brains.

"They have analagous structures," Pollan explains. "They have ways of taking all the sensory data they gather in their everyday lives ... integrate it and then behave in an appropriate way in response. And they do this without brains, which, in a way, is what's incredible about it, because we automatically assume you need a brain to process information."

And we assume you need ears to hear. But researchers, says Pollan, have played a recording of a caterpillar munching on a leaf to plants — and the plants react. They begin to secrete defensive chemicals — even though the plant isn't really threatened, Pollan says. "It is somehow hearing what is, to it, a terrifying sound of a caterpillar munching on its leaves."

Pollan says plants have all the same senses as humans, and then some. In addition to hearing, taste, for example, they can sense gravity, the presence of water, or even feel that an obstruction is in the way of its roots, before coming into contact with it. Plant roots will shift direction, he says, to avoid obstacles.

So what about pain? Do plants feel? Pollan says they do respond to anesthetics. "You can put a plant out with a human anesthetic. ... And not only that, plants produce their own compounds that are anesthetic to us." But scientists are reluctant to go as far as to say they are responding to pain.

How plants sense and react is still somewhat unknown. They don't have nerve cells like humans, but they do have a system for sending electrical signals and even produce neurotransmitters, like dopamine, serotonin and other chemicals the human brain uses to send signals.

"We don't know why they have them, whether this was just conserved through evolution or if it performs some sort of information processing function. We don't know. There's a lot we don't know," Pollan says.

And chalk up another human-like ability — memory.

Pollan describes an experiment done by animal biologist Monica Gagliano. She presented research that suggests the mimosa pudica plant can learn from experience. And, Pollan says, merely suggesting a plant could learn was so controversial that her paper was rejected by 10 scientific journals before it was finally published.

Mimosa is a plant, which looks something like a fern, that collapses its leaves temporarily when it is disturbed. So Gagliano set up a contraption that would drop the mimosa plant, without hurting it. When the plant dropped, as expected, its leaves collapsed. She kept dropping the plants every five to six seconds.

"After five or six drops, the plants would stop responding, as if they'd learned to tune out the stimulus as irrelevent," Pollan says. "This is a very important part of learning — to learn what you can safely ignore in your environment."

Maybe the plant was just getting worn out from all the dropping? To test that, Gagliano took the plants that had stopped responding to the drops and shook them instead.

"They would continue to collapse," Pollan says. "They had made the distinction that [dropping] was a signal they could safely ignore. And what was more incredible is that [Gagliano] would retest them every week for four weeks and, for a month, they continued to remember their lesson."

That's as far out as Gagliano tested. It's possible they remember even longer. Conversely, Pollan points out, bees that are given a similar dishabituation test forget what they've learned in as little as 48 hours.

Pollan says not everyone accepts that what Gagliano describes is really learning. In fact, there are many critics with many alternative theories for explaining the response the plants are having. Still ...

"Plants can do incredible things. They do seem to remember stresses and events, like that experiment. They do have the ability to respond to 15 to 20 environmental variables," Pollan says. "The issue is, is it right to call it learning? Is that the right word? Is it right to call it intelligence? Is it right, even, to call what they are conscious. Some of these plant neurobiologists believe that plants are conscious — not self-conscious, but conscious in the sense they know where they are in space ... and react appropriately to their position in space."

Pollan says there is no agreed definition of intelligence. "Go to Wikipedia and look up intelligence. They despair of giving you an answer. They basically have a chart where they give you nine different definitions. And about half of them depend on a brain — they refer to abstract reasoning or judgment.

"And the other half merely refer to a problem-solving ability. And that's the kind of intelligence we are talking about here. ... So intelligence may well be a property of life. And our difference from these other creatures may be a matter of difference of degree rather than kind. We may just have more of this problem-solving ability and we may do it in different ways."

Pollan says that really freaks people out — "that the line between plants and animals might be a little softer than we traditionally think of it as."

And he suggests that plants may be able to teach humans a thing or two, such as how to process information without a central command post like a brain.

Modern society and our educational system has little or no understanding of the underlying spiritual fabric of our existence on all planes across all space-time.... Ancient shamanic teachings which are still practiced and followed by a few people in our world today beckon us to awaken to our deep connection with all there is .. to go beyond our fears of the spiritual realms and to understand our true nature, as consciousness ... divine and omnipresent.

The word Shaman is an English translation of the Tungus word Saman. The Tungus are an indigenous people of Siberia located in the Altai Mountains. The literal translation of the Tungus word Saman, means, “To know”. Other research indicates that the word Shaman was derived from earlier peoples, perhaps even the Vedic people of northern India. One such example is that the Tibetan word for a Buddhist monk is Samana.

Regardless of the words true origin, it has come to represent on a global level all that practice Shaman like techniques.

Shamanic teachings show us how to rewrite our stories about our lives, to do what the shamans call “dreaming the world into being.”

These invaluable Shamanic teachings, known as The Four Insights, were kept under wraps for a very good reason. The Laika realized that this knowledge about our capacity to manifest our dreams is tremendously powerful, and could be easily abused by those lacking ethics. Nevertheless, these devoted “Earthkeepers” recognized that the Four Insights belong to all people on the planet, not just to the Inka. When they met a white person who did not possess the arrogant, hostile mindset of the conqueror, they were willing to share their wisdom teachings for dissemination to the world.

The Four Insights

The wisdom of the Laika Shamanic Teachings consists of Four Insights, each of which has four practices that allow us to move beyond mere understanding to actually experiencing shifts in perception that help us transform ourselves and our world.

Insight 1: The Way of the Hero
Practices: Non-judgment, Non-suffering, Non-attachment, Beauty

Insight 2: The Way of the Luminous Warrior
Practices: Fearlessness, Non-doing, Certainty, Non-engagement

Insight 3: The Way of the Seer
Practices: Beginner’s Mind, Living Consequently, Transparency, Integrity

Insight 4: The Way of the Sage
Practices: Mastering Time and Keeping a Secret from Yourself, Owning Your Projections, No-mind, Indigenous Alchemy

Through the Four Insights, you’ll learn that there’s a spiritual solution to every problem you encounter in the physical world, in your mind, and in your soul. You’ll learn that you can’t eliminate scarcity in your life by getting another job. You can’t heal feelings of abandonment or anger by understanding your childhood wounds. You can only fix these problems at the level above the one in which they were created.

When we shift from one level of perception up to the next, we retain our ability to function at the lower realm, but we still retain that wider view of what we’re experiencing. Einstein said, “Problems can not be solved at the level at which they were created.” Being able to shift to a higher realm of perception can help us to find solutions to our problems, resolve conflicts, heal disease, and experience oneness with all of creation when, before, we were experiencing distress and separation.

If you want to begin living your life differently and perceiving your experiences through new eyes, it’s important to go beyond mere understanding of the insights and actually follow their practices.

Condensed from Alberto Villoldo’s introduction in his book, The Four Insights ...

Alberto Villoldo’s best-selling book, “The Four Insights.”

Taoism has its roots in Shamanic Teachings. As a result this means the Personal Tao site also offers a collection of spiritual teachings to help people explore a modern Shamanic Life. Experiencing the movement of spirit is something that goes beyond physical words. The materials on this site are just a starting point for people on their spiritual journey.

While modern culture has many preconceived notions of what a Shaman might look like, it turns out shamanic teachings are much more varied than what people think. Shamanic teachings are not out of place in this modern world. In fact, the exact opposite is true, shamanic teachings offer tools to help a person find a healthier lifestyle and perspectives that balance the sensibilities of a modern life.

Many different “maps” and paths exist in shamanic teachings. Julie and Casey help shamanic students access and then begin exploring the spiritual aspects of life. We first teach a person a larger overview of Shamanism. Then based on a person’s nature, help each person focus down a path that matches their soul.

Spiritual activities appear magical to many, since in perspective how we see spirit varies so much from person to person. Yet no one can deny the larger mysterious universe that goes beyond our day to day stories of life. This larger reality around our physical base essence is what is known as “Spirit”. It’s the desire to move with connection to spirit and explore the spiritual worlds that calls to us in shamanic practice. Shamanic practice is an art of lifestyle that connects a person’s heart back to nature and to the roots of our history. Shamanism is the art of helping each person connect to and expand their life with spiritual exploration.

How do Shamans perform their Work?

Shamans primarily perform their duties on an energetic level, meaning that they take into account a “mind, body, spirit” connection when performing their work.

The basis of Shamanic technique is to honor the life system as a “whole”. Instead of addressing challenges as a symptom, a deeper cause for that symptom is sought. Many times it is a matter of speaking to the patient to identify direct life factors that play into a particular problem. A Shaman may very well provide practical counsel; however the treatment is centered around performing energy work and ensuring that the patient is provided support for on non-physical levels of reality.

Shamans utilize several techniques to perform there work. Some of the more common techniques are journeying, chakra based and dimensional energy work, meditation, counseling, performing ceremonies, and entering altered states.

What is Journeying?

Journeying is leaving "this world" reality to enter the "Otherworld" while in the altered state of “ecstasy”. It is the actual traveling through the various levels of the Worlds: Siberian Shamans have 9 levels and usually travel on the back of a goose or a horse. American Indians have 3 levels and travel in accompaniment with their totem guides. African Shamans, depending upon the tribe have multiple layers of the Otherworld and travel with their ancestors. Although each culture has their own methods of traveling they all have some kind of journeying to the Otherworld.

According to Tom Cowan, when a Shaman journeys he/she is letting their spirit leave their body to journey to the astral plane or spirit realm. There are many ways of obtaining this state of ecstasy or altered state. This altered state of consciousness has many levels including full awake, dreaming, and daydreaming. Unlike drug induced or dreamed realities, Shamanic journeying is intentional, focused and directed at all times. (Pocket Guide to Shamanism pages 111-112)

What is a Guided Journey?

A guided journey is a learning journey. It does not necessarily have to begin with the ecstatic state; often it can take place in deep sleep or in a guided meditation. A guided journey occurs when a spirit guide or animal guide (totem) takes control of the dream and "guides" you to where they want you. A guided journey is not always pleasant. This is where the Shaman learns more about him/herself and grows into their powers, it is where they meet and grow to know their guides and spirit teachers. It is also where they face their fears and overcome them so they are able to journey into the Otherworld and battle spirits.

Everything has power and all power is equal. Just the levels of which the person can control the power makes it look like some are stronger than others. Power comes from authenticity. This means you must have faith or trust in your own authority/ability. In other words be confident. One must be grounded and centered. It is very important to understand that your personal power comes from within and it is not outside of yourself.

Basic Truth TWO
Everything is relative and connected – (Microcosm / Macrocosm – Interconnectedness is truly universal).
In other words, cause and effect. You can not do anything without it affecting something. Positive thoughts and energy have positive results. Negative thoughts and energy destroy positive results. Example: If you attempt to control a force of nature/spirit world it will rebel. Nothing likes to be controlled. You need to learn to work as an equal partner with all. Man, nature, and the spirits are all connected for we all are all made of power.

Basic Truth THREE
The Shaman’s world with its 3 planes, Upper, Middle, and lower (read about them on page 35-36 in Celtic Shaman) is what you make it – (We operate on all dimensional levels, even though our energy is focused primarily on the physical)
This reflects upon your ability to use your power to understand that there are no limits to what you can do. In other words, the Shaman that says I can do this is the one that can.

Basic Truth FOUR
Effectiveness is the yardstick of ability – (Self assessment and introspection are a key foundation and life is about building a sustainable foundation of practice).
If you make it happen then you have gained the skills to make it happen. Just because you couldn’t make it happen doesn't mean that it can't happen. It only means you may not have found the right way yet. Do not get down on yourself just because you have not yet accomplished something.

The Aspects of Balance

There are 4 aspects of balance. These are mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. This means not going over board in any area of your life. At times, tunnel vision can be an asset but only for the duration of the need. It is important to learn not only how to be balanced, but how to balance those you are healing. Shamans endeavor to heal all aspects of the individual.

The Mental Aspect
This is how we process energy with our conscious thoughts.
Shamans need to understand how the person gets information and how certain information affects the person. Criticize someone too much and all they hear is that they are a failure. Tell them that they are doing better because of the results you see, and they will assist you in helping themselves heal even faster.

The Physical Aspect
This is how we process energy with our bodies. This reflects how we take care of ourselves. A healthy body allows the Shaman the strength to journey. You may be thinking I journey with my mind, which is true, but all is connected, -everything affects everything-. We need to reach high levels of physical strength and stamina to journey to the Otherworld and do the healing we are here to do.

The Emotional Aspect
This is how we process energy through our reactions to others. We all let others effect how we react, though we are the ones in control of how we react. First impressions are a good example: most know right away if they like someone or not. But what most don’t think about, is why we don’t like them? We need to look at the whys. You will usually see yourself in there someplace.

The Spiritual Aspect
This is the processing of the energy of our souls or spirits. Sometimes this is the strongest and least controlled energy in our four energy system. Spirituality is living in harmony with the 4 points of the medicine wheel, which represents your material life, as well as your non-material life. It is believing in something that is greater than a single human body. It is also everything we believe without affixing labels to them.

How Does One Learn to Become a Shaman?

There are two traditional kinds of instruction a Shaman receives and many forms a neo-Shaman can use. The traditional methods as stated by Mircea Eliade in his book Shamanism: Archaic Techniques of Ecstasy are:

1. Ecstatic
2. Traditional

Training by the ecstatic method is through visions and dreams. Often the apprentice spends months, even years in solitude living in a cave or forest in a most deplorable manner. This instruction is given by previous ancestors, spirits and guides and involves an initiation in the Otherworld. The conditions lend themselves to the ecstatic state through starvation and isolation. This is one reason why there are so few Shamans and why the lineage is not being continued in the hereditary manner.

Traditional training is usually done by the current Shaman as he or she tries to produce an heir for the tribe. Often a Shaman will spend 20 or more years training his or her apprentice. The traditional training includes the names of spirits, history of the clan (tribe); herbalism and other skills Shamans need to do their work.

Neo-Shamans sometimes try to glean the information they need from various books, seminars or Shamanic schools. They can however receive traditional training if they find the right teacher and are qualified to do so. In today’s world, there are fewer Shamans than ever before. The balance of the realities lies in the Shamanistic work being done. The lack of current Shamans is evident in the imbalance being seen in this world today. So the traditional teaching of apprentices is being allowed now by those few Shamans who have the proper mind and heart to keep the practice clear and focused on its own purpose.

Please keep I mind that the path of Shamanism is not a hobby or something to be taken lightly. If one embarks on this path without guidance, protection, and the proper mindfulness, one can cause harm to others as well as themselves.

Times have certainly changed since the Hippie Heaven of the sixties ... Peace, Love, Unity and Respect have been conveniently replaced by materialistic desires and greed. We have become so power hungry in our race to nowhere that we have forgotten what it is to be human. Our inner divinity cries out to be recognized, however in vain as our limited egos seem to have it all figured out, but only for as long as we allow our egos to stay in control. Some of us who like to self medicate using all kinds of psychedelic substances need to watch out for what we allow to enter our state of consciousness. Every substance no matter what its sold to us as, has a powerful effect on our lives, often underestimated by exuberant psychonauts, willing to accept any and all lethal combinations in unknown quantities and dozes.

LSD is a powerful tool to be used for inner exploration and self discovery. Sadly, a lot of the LSD blotters sold out there today are research chemicals such as NBOME, DOB, etc ... There are so many different kinds of research chemicals out there, being freely sold online and way cheaper than the real deal. This has made it possible for some greedy people to take advantage of the situation and do whats best for business, jeopardizing lives of others who often believe they had a bad trip on ACID, whereas the real culprit is the research chemical which is sold as LSD in most places !

There are some tell tale signs which can help one identify if the blotter has clean LSD or not. Firstly, most of the genuine LSD blotters I have seen have been kind of thick and with no taste at all, or at times a minty taste (in the form of drops), which I was told is a way to keep it undetected or to store it for longer. The bitter ones which have a strong metallic taste to them are the ones which are not acid but some research chemical, most probably one of the NBOME series. Check Erowid for more about this ! The NBOME Blotter is hence termed, "Bitter Spitter" indicating its not LSD and needs to be spat out as soon as you figure what it is. As beautiful, magical and joyous a journey on LSD can be, the contrasting research chemical experience can be unnerving, chaotic, confusing ... with its effects lasting at least 12 hours or more even on small dozes.

LSD isn't something one needs to chase all the time. A powerful LSD experience once in a lifetime can be good enough to propel one on his/her soul path towards a deeper understanding of existence and our purpose being here. Its definitely not something one needs to keep doing too frequently as it can be damaging to the psyche to say the least, possibly leading to other complications. The psychedelic experience, coupled with Yoga, Meditation and other forms of energy work can open powerful pathways towards greener pastures, unexplored.

The psychedelic experience is a shamanic ritual which is best experienced out there in the wilderness, soaked within the healing forest frequencies which unite us all. We may not have our forests as the perfect setting, but we do have this thing called 'intuition' deeply seated within us all, which when awakened allows us to have some sort of a vision ... a sense of knowing ... which helps us make more life affirming choices.

8th August 2015 is one of the most potent, high frequency days of this year, with amazing potential for positive change, both globally and personally.

Numerologically, 2015 is an 8 year (2+0+1+5 = 8.) The number 8 is associated with harmony, balance, abundance and power. When placed on its side, the 8 becomes the symbol for infinity ∞ and this is very apt as we are now stepping more into our role as co-creators of a New Earth with infinite creative possibilities.

The 8th August is the high point in what is known as the “Lion’s Gate”. This portal opens between 26th July and 12th August 2015 whilst the Sun is in the astrological sign of Leo the Lion. During this time, Galactic waves bathe the Earth with light keys and codes to assist in the evolution of the planet for the next cycle.

First we move through the rare triple 8 Lion’s Gate Activation on August 8th. During this event a Stargate is fully open streaming intense Light waves from the Great Central Sun, through our Sun, The Star Sirius, the Earth Grid Point of the Sphinx and The Great Pyramid of Giza. When the Sun is conjunct Star Sirius it creates a Solar Stargate that pours Solar Star Codes for mastery and ascension directly from Sirius.

This rare 8-8-8 Lion's Gate portal is a pivotal Cosmic Ascension event, as humanity and Gaia are thrust through the Lion's Gate portal into higher realms. You may feel like you are being pushed through the birth canal into a fresh new start. The triple 8 infinity energy represents: As Above, So Below and Within! Infinity Figure-8 symbolizes integration, abundance and balancing polarity into harmonious Union.

During the Lion’s Gate Activation, the 8-8-8 “wave” contains the new Light Codes of the Cosmic Ascension. It may feel like you are being pushed through the eye of the needle during the Lion’s Gate, which is why you can’t take anything from 3D with you. Take this time to let go of all attachments to the physical world. Open your grip and let go! It is vitally important you are open to fully receive these codes, to light up your DNA, to support you to make another quantum shift, furthering your personal growth!

The 888 Triple Infinity Lion's Gate Portal 8/8/2015 is the trigger to the Royal House of Sirius Feline frequency. There shall be many of these frequencies as you move forward into an inter-galactic society.

On August 8, Solar power will move into material form to be seen and felt. Uniting the two hemispheres of the brain in a cosmic fusion. Birthing a level of light that even the blind will be able to see. So powerful is this solar vibration we will have but one choice as it enters our energy field. The choice is to just allow it to pass through you like a solar wind, not holding on to any part of it. Like a cool breeze on a hot day just allow the solar emanations to encircle and embrace you without trying to corral them and tie them to the fence of humanness. Just this minute action will shift the future into a place that can been seen and felt.

The 8:8:8 STARGATE is symbolic of the human DNA kept separate and secret purposefully. The symbiotic relationship that humanity has had with earth life will shift into direct alignment with a time passageway. This time passageway is allowing a new seeding to occur that increases mental capacities, IQ and the ability to remember (near and far). For some time now the human brain has been in the shop being repaired. Too much information has been painful and not received or digested properly. Seeming to have Teflon coating the brain has been resistant, not wanting anything to stick to it. Each new set of thoughts triggered dormant fears that needed to be released and replaced with new strands of awareness.

The star Sirius rises every midsummer this rising is associated with new thought, new light, and new beginnings. It rises before the sun purposefully after being in stellar hiding for about 70 days. Sirius houses the Great White Brotherhood, the Lemurian Elders as well as the Christ Consciousness. It is now time to come from a point of high solar vibrations and allow this new light to shine on places within the psyche and history of earth that needs cleansed.

We stand at the base of the mountain of Creational maturity on our sojourn home to the Light. Everything in the universe opens its cupboards to show what has been hidden on all of its shelves. It is a personal choice as to how to wear this energy and wisdom. It has been laid at your anointed feet with a great love by those that have taken all of your evolutionary possibilities to heart.

What are the things that come to mind when you hear the word hippie? For most people who have not taken a deeper look into the hippie lifestyle, it is long hair, torn clothes, drugs and basically a lazy person who does nothing much in life. However, I beg to differ.

To me the term hippie symbolizes a person who is peace-loving, fun, free, spiritual, and creative while living life on his or her own terms. It may seem like an easy life, but it takes a lot of courage to break away from the power hungry corporate life that we as a society have created. So let’s take a brief look into what it takes to be a hippie.

To be a hippie you have to travel, at least a bit:

To travel is to explore the world and to explore the world is to explore yourself. Hippies love to travel not as tourists but in order to learn in-depth about various cultures and inculcate the best parts of them into their being. Hippies in the 60’s have travelled by buses, vans and even backpacked all the way from the U.S and Europe to Asian countries such as India, Nepal and Sri Lanka while working and earning along the way. In my books, that is definitely not easy.

You cannot be a true hippie without being sustainable:

Hippies try to be as organic and sustainable as possible. They believe that humanity should live and evolve along with the Earth rather than going against the natural course of nature. They are well aware of what they grow and eat. Today most of us buy food out of packages and have no idea what pesticides and chemicals are put into our food.

You got to love your music:

Hippies are groovy people who love their music and have created some of the most profound music of the century. They have managed to fuse various genres including rock & roll, jazz, blues and classical Indian music. The music of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana, Cream, The Beatles, CSNY and The Grateful Dead live on and have influenced millions around the world. Music festivals such as Woodstock, The Monterey Pop Festival and The Newport Folk Music Festival have not been forgotten for over 40 years now.

If not a director, you could be a hippie movie buff:

Some of the most artistic, well directed and thought provoking movies of the century have been filmed by hippies during their era. Films such as Easy Rider, The Trip, Head, 200 Motels and Yellow Submarine have underlying meanings which reinforced the hippie ideology of freedom, love, peace and music.

Do you love art as much as hippies do?

Hippies were creative geniuses. Colours were radiant, bright and trippy. Psychedelic art was found not just in art galleries but also on the streets, cars, buses and even on their clothes. The reason hippies loved colors is because they represent life and life should be led in a fun and colourful way.

Back in the 60’s, a lot of hippies hardly wore any clothing because they believed in absolute freedom of body and mind and they were very comfortable in their own skin. However they did create a solid fashion statement with their tie and dye apparels, torn jeans, the Janis Joplin shades, bandanas and natural jewellery made out of crystals, beads and seashells. Check out some cool hippie clothing at https://www.facebook.com/hippiemerch.

Are you spirituality rooted?

Due to the wide use of sacred plants and entheogens, many hippies turned towards spirituality as they were trying to build a deeper connection to the Earth and all living beings around them. Many hippies turned towards the spiritual aspect of eastern practices such as Yoga, Meditation, Kundalini and Zen.

It’s important to protest peacefully when your rights are violated :

Hippies are socially motivated and strive to protect the earth and bring everyone together. They want the world to be absolutely free and when human and Earth rights are violated, peaceful protests against wars, the destruction of the environment and so on are organized. Hippies used music to bring people together. Bob Dylan’s ‘Blowing in the wind’, John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For what it’s worth’ and Neil Young’s ‘Ohio’ are a few protest songs that created mass awareness through music and without them, the world as we know it would not have been the same.

It is Fun to speak the Hippie lingo :

Hippies had a lingo of their own and often used a lot of superlatives to describe events. Words such as flower power, cool, far out, peace, chill-out, bogart, take it easy, keep on truckin’ and dig-that were used prominently by hippies in the 60’s and some of them have stuck on to this day. It’s fun to add a few hippie words to your everyday speech and watch people’s reactions.

It’s not easy to be a hippie, but there is a lot that we as a society can learn from the by-gone era. There is no doubt that change is required in our present society. However, the most important part of being a hippie, is to keep your spirits high and have a whole lot of fun because life was never made to be taken too seriously. So how hippie are you?

Here are some interesting videos about the Hippie generation ... and how it all began .... :)

Somehow, killing Cecil the Lion, who belongs to an endangered species has become a hot topic of discussion world wide with multiple social media platforms reporting about this inane act by a man who can be best described as 'toothless', ironically also a dentist who has now apparently shut office after the news went viral. Well, its not the first time someone has 'sportingly' killed a wild animal and posed next to their prized trophy, for Fun ? We humans are responsible for the killing of countless animals everyday for food, which some believe is still better than killing them as a sport. The pain an animal goes through is the same whether we kill for food or just for kicks to boost our own egos.

The killing of Cecil the Lion has outraged thousands worldwide, and should sensitize us humans towards other animals we torment continually. Here are some interesting videos about the killing of Cecil the Lion making headlines all over ....

Jimmy Kimmel shares his thoughts on the Minnesota dentist who illegally killed a lion who was a local favorite in Zimbabwe.

A Minnesota dentist, Dr. Walter J Palmer has been identified as the hunter who killed Cecil the Lion, a popular attraction in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park.

An interesting video from a Vegan about the positive side of this incident ...

Walter James Palmer, an American game hunter reportedly paid US$50,000 to a professional hunter, Theo Bronkhorst, to enable him to kill a lion. Cecil was allegedly lured out of the sanctuary where he was shot and wounded with an arrow. He was allegedly tracked approximately 40 hours later, and then finally shot dead with a rifle. He was then skinned and his head was removed. His tracking collar was missing from the carcass. It has been noted that the initial attempt to kill Cecil was with a crossbow which in some hunting circles, is viewed as requiring more skill and therefore superior to hunting with guns. This has led to accusations that Palmer was "showing off".

Palmer returned to the United States, then issued a statement that he relied on the expertise of his local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt and deeply regretted that his pursuit of an activity he loves and practices responsibly and legally resulted in the taking of this lion.

Killing animals for fun or for food isn't something we humans should be part of in the first place ... If only we understood the karma we accrue by acting unconsciously, unaware of the pain and suffering animals go through to be the "tasty" food on our plate.

Its time we make better choices for the future of this planet and all living beings we share this space with.

João Meirinhos created a compelling and sublime documentary that reaffirms the power of the world's greatest traditional medicine, Ayahuasca. Assembling an impressive cast of traditional practitioners, aficionados and western converts, 'Mirror of the Spirit' bubbles like the brew itself to reveal the essence of the ayahuasca experience. And, like the ayahuasca vine, it entwines the viewer with an authentic and compelling message that is hard to resist.

Grounded in strong ethnographic roots, 'Mirror of the Spirit' captures the spirit of this eclectic mix of contributors all of whom have been transformed by the power of the medicine in a myriad different ways. Once again we are reminded that the message of Ayahuasca is more relevant today than at any point in our history.

- Why are, nowadays, mostly foreigners interested in going through the harsh processes of shamanic initiation?
- Do Western and Amazonian shamans share the same cosmological views about the possibility of life after death?
- Has the replacement of religious beliefs for science, reason and capital left a metaphysical void in modern societies?

If only we could all see how everything really is energy ... flowing through all living systems in the world of form, our understanding of ourselves with relation to the perceived external would definitely change from an ego centric view to a knowing of inherent unity. This ongoing dance between Yin and Yang energies of the Cosmos ... the Shiva Shakti energies ... the realm of the invisible / unmanifest and the manifested reality ... is what creates our experiences in life. By becoming more aware of how we interact with energies around us we can become more in control of our self while being sensitive to others energies. Tree Hugging is not just for Hippies ! Contrary to popular belief, hugging or even just being in the vicinity of a tree can boost one’s health in several ways.

In a recently published book by author Matthew Silverstone, Blinded by Science, evidence confirming trees and their healthful benefits includes their effect on mental illnesses, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), concentration levels, reaction times, depression, and the ability to alleviate headaches.

According to countless studies cited within the book, children show extreme psychological and physiological effects in term of improved health and well-being when they interact with plants. It was recorded that children function better cognitively and emotionally in green environments and have more creative play in green areas.

A large public health report studying the association between green spaces and mental health also noted that “access to nature can significantly contribute to our mental capability and well being.”

Beginning practitioners of Chinese internal organ massage (Chi Nei Tsang) are taught how to commune with trees. Shouldn’t this be part of everyone’s education?

by Mantak Chia

“Chi Nei Tsang: Internal Organs Chi Massage”, Mantak and Mannewan Chia’s manual for practitioners of traditional Chinese medical massage, is yet another fine fruit of Chinese Taoist cosmology. Mao retained Traditiional Chinese medicine while otherwise industrializing his country, which allowed China to continue its multi-millenia tradition of developing this great clinical science unencumbered by Communist dogma (while also spreading it throughout the Western world). That a large percentage of potential in-patient visitors to Chinese hospitals are almost immediately discharged on the basis of a chi massage argues for what a serious and effective medical methodology it is. How playful and profound the artful science of Chinese internal organ massage actually is can be at least partially appreciated through the exercises presented below.

COLLECTING TREE ENERGY

1. The Healing Abilities of Trees

Taoist Masters observed that trees are tremendously powerful plants. Not only can they absorb carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen, but they can also absorb negative forces and transform them into good energy. Trees strongly root with the Earth, and the more rooted the tree, the higher it can extend to Heaven. Trees stand very still, absorbing the Earth’s Energy and the Universal Force from the Heavens.

Trees and all plants have the ability to absorb the light of the energies and transform it into food; in fact, they depend on light for most of their nourishment, while water and earth minerals make up about 30% of their nutritional intake. Trees are able to live very long lives.

a. The Tree as a Healer and Friend

Trees are the largest and most spiritually advanced plants on earth. They are constantly in meditation, and subtle energy is their natural language. As your understanding of this language grows, you can begin to develop a relationship with them. They can help you open your energy channels and cultivate calm, presence, and vitality. You can reciprocate by helping them with their own blockages and devitalized areas. It is a mutually beneficial relationship that needs cultivation.

b. Choosing a Tree to Work With

Throughout history human beings have used all parts of the tree for healing and medicine. The best trees for healing are big trees, especially pines. Pine trees radiate Chi, nourish blood, strengthen nervous systems, and contribute to long lives. They also nurture souls and spirits. Pines are the “Immortal Tree.” Early Chinese poetry and painting is full of admiration for pines.

Although pine trees are often the best choice, many other trees or plants can be used. The larger trees contain the most energy. Among the most powerful are trees growing near running water. Some trees feel warmer or hotter than others; some feel cooler or colder than others. Practice distinguishing the varying properties of different trees.

1. Cypress and cedar trees reduce heat and nourish Yin energy.
2. Willow trees help to expel sick winds, rid the body of excess dampness, reduce high blood pressure, and strengthen the urinary tract and bladder.
3. Elm trees calm the mind and strengthen the stomach.
4. Maple trees chase sick winds and help reduce pain.
5. Locust trees help clear internal heat and help balance the weather of the heart.
6. Banyan trees clear the heart and help to rid the body of dampness
7. Cinnamon trees can clear coldness from the heart and abdomen.
8. Fir trees help clear up bruises, reduce swelling, and heal broken bones faster.
9. Hawthorn trees help aid digestion, strengthen the intestines, and lower blood pressure,
10. Birch trees help clear heat and dampness from the body and help to detoxify it.
11. Plum trees nourish the spleen, stomach, and pancreas and calm the mind.
12. Fig trees clear excess heat from the body, increase saliva. nourish the spleen. and help stop diarrhea.
13. Ginco trees help strengthen the bladder and alleviate urinary problems in women.

You do not need to go far out into the forest to find an appropriate tree to work with. Trees that are used to having people around understand our energy and are actually more accessible and friendly than those far out in the wilderness. City parks and suburban yards are filled with powerful and accessible trees that would love to have closer relationships with the humans that dominate their environment.

There is a certain size range within which trees are most accessible to human beings. When a tree is too small, it does not have enough energy to make much of an impression on you. When the tree is too big, you have the opposite problem, so it takes more persistence to get large trees to take an interest in you. As a source of healing energy, it is best to choose a large, robust tree from within the accessible size range. For playful interaction it is best to choose a small to medium sized tree. While it is not necessary to climb the tree to develop a relationship, it does open up a whole new world, Climb gently and carefully so as not to harm the tree.

c. Establishing Communion with a Tree

There are certain methods to approaching, interacting with, retreating from and taking leave of a tree. By following specific steps you create a ritual of silent communion that both you and the tree can understand, and so increase the potential for harmonious interaction. The steps were derived from observation of the natural course of events in subtle energy communion, and apply to communion with just about anything: tree, rock, human, or animal, although the following is concerned specifically with trees.

First of all, each tree, like each person, has a personality, desires, and a life of its own. Trees differ widely in their taste for human contact. Some are very generous and want to give you all the energy you can take. Others are weak or ill and need your comforting and healing energy. Some are just friendly souls who enjoy human company. Others are quite indifferent to you. You can learn and grow by working with all of them. Try to be open and respectful, rather than pressing the trees to serve your own purposes. In this way they will provide you with more than just another source of Chi: friendship, playful expression, and love.

Trees operate on a longer time scale than do human beings. You can help to bridge this gap by returning again and again to the same tree, so that a relationship develops. Visit regularly so that the tree knows when to expect you and can look forward to seeing you. You may have the distinct impression that the tree really misses you when you are gone for a longer time than usual.

Spiritual communion with trees resembles resembles love more than any other human activity. As such, a quality of sensuality and tenderness should be present. You do not always have to be in control of the situation. Allow some time to just relax and melt into the communion. Let the tree lead you into the wonders of its own inner life. Working with trees in this way can help to ease sexual frustration. You may find that some of the practices presented here can be easily adapted for use in lovemaking.

2. Practicing with a Tree and the Earth’s Force

a.Use the Palms to Absorb Yin Chi and Help Balance Yang Energy (Figure 2-29)
Morning to noon time is the best time to practice with a tree.

1. Assume a Position. Stand or sit one or two feet in front of a tree.

2. Open Yourself to a Tree. Relax and center yourself. Feel your boundaries soften. Allow yourself to become more receptive and somewhat vulnerable, ready to make contact with the tree. Feel your energy field open like a flower, neither emitting nor absorbing energy, just becoming open and available (Figure 2-30).

3. Offer a Welcome. Extend your arms and face the palms of your hands toward the tree. Extend your energy toward the tree with a friendly ‘offering” attitude. When the tree responds by extending its energy to you, accept it, breathing it into your body with an attitude of “welcome.” Use your mind and eyes as follows. With the lower part of the eyes, concentrate on the tip of your nose. With the upper part of the eyes, look at your palms and at the tree.

Let your intuition guide you as you respond to the tree again with another “offering” gesture. Proceed with several of these exchanges. Take your time and really feel what is happening.

Use the left palm, the mind, and the upper part of the eyes to absorb the Chi.

4. Parallel Tracking. Remain centered within yourself, neither approaching nor retreating, and simply observe the subtle relationship between you and the tree. Use meditative concentration to become very absorbed in your connection with the tree, without actively trying to change or analyze what is going on. Do not try to deepen the communion or lessen it. Control your own energy and watch the tree while the tree controls its own energy and watches you. This is known as Parallel Tracking. Such a neutral state may occur several times during a session at deep as well as shallow levels of intimacy.

5. Draw and Hold Close. Allow the energy field between you and the tree to intensify, thicken, and contract to Draw and Hold Close the two of you together. There may or may not be physical movement involved. The sensation is that the two of you are being enfolded in a cocoon of energy while more and more of your inner cores are exposed to each other. Finally you hold each other in an embrace of deep intimacy.

Drawing and Holding Close often happens spontaneously as the offering and welcoming escalates to become circulating and sharing, or as the circulating and sharing moves to deeper and deeper levels.

6. Guide the Chi. As with all Healing Tao practices, it is necessary that you train your eyes and mind to move and guide the Chi. This practice is also useful in training yourself to recognize and be aware of the quality of the tree’s energy. Feel the tree’s energy when it enters your body. As you send it out to the tree, combine it with Human Plane (Cosmic Particle) Energy. Notice how the energy feels when it returns to you from the tree: enhanced with a cool, healing quality. Notice also how the quality of the energy changes after nine, eighteen, 24, and 36 cycles.

Move the upper part of the eyes to guide the Chi slowly up the inside Yin side) of the left arm, to the left shoulder, the left side of the neck, the left ear, and the crown. From the crown move the Chi down the right side to the back side of the right ear, to the right neck, the right shoulder, inside the right arm, to the right palm. Project the Chi out into the tree trunk. Absorb the Chi again in a circle (the Yin Energy Circle): 36 cycles for men and 24 cycles for women. (Figure 2-30)

7. Extend to a Deeper Level. Now begin to exchange energy with the tree on a deeper level. To share with the tree on a deeper level means to place a particular part of your body in contact with a particular part of the tree’s body, and breathing the energy back and forth between them. To circulate now means guiding the energy along a path which passes through both of your bodies and returns to its starting point. You can guide the Chi as in (6) above. Eventually you will discover many different patterns are possible.

8. Drawing and Holding Back to End Gracefully. Drawing and Holding Back is very important. It prevents you from absorbing more energy from the tree than you can harmoniously utilize. It also prevents you from draining too much energy from a small or weak tree, or leaving such a tree with too much of your unprocessed negative energy. In addition, it seals off the connections you have made with the tree so that energy is not leaked into the environment after you leave. All in all, it makes for an aesthetically complete meditation and shows respect for the tree. When you have had enough and wish to begin your return to normal consciousness or just to a less deep level of communion, try to do so slowly and gradually so as not to disturb the beauty of what you have just shared. The sensation is one of gradually returning to yourself, sorting out the energy that belongs to you from the energy that belongs to the tree, and re-establishing the boundary between you.

It is important to note at this time that if, after you have done the healing, you still feel a lot of energy in your hands, close the crown point to seal it so that your healing energy will not continue to flow out.

Trees have a great liking for human contact and you will probably be ready to go long before the tree is ready to have you leave.

a. You need to gradually withdraw your attention from the contact, and turn your attention more upon yourself.

b. As you do this, much of the shared energy will be drawn into your body. When this happens, just “push back” at the stream of tree energy to prevent most of it from entering your body while allowing your human energy to return.

c. Then, when your polarities reverse, allow the tree energy to flow back into the tree, but keep your own conscious energy within your body.

d. After a couple of exchanges, the tree will get the idea and begin to cooperate with you. In a little while you will be fully back in your own body and ready for the closing.

e. To disengage from a powerful circulation pattern, gradually focus your attention on the navel area, the place to end the meditation. As the energy collects there, allow any excess to flow into the tree.

f. If the tree tries to feed you energy from another point, push back at this flow in the manner described above.

g. Eventually the pattern will cease, and you will be sharing energy with the tree at the selected point. Now you can sort out what energy belongs to you and what belongs to the tree to complete the drawing back.

h. When you are very deep into communion with a tree, you will probably have “too far to go” to draw back in one step. Instead, after a partial drawing and holding back, resume circulating and sharing, but in a less intense manner. Gradually, after several of these steps, you will some wholly back to yourself.

9. Closing. Always end with a closing. The closing is a precise and somewhat abrupt gesture which breaks the connection, locks into place any healing that may have occurred, and imparts a feeling of good will, all within a second or two. The closing may be a movement, a sound, or just a change in the subtle energy field, such as the clap of the hands, or a nod of the head. A smooth movement of a fist in an upward arc, ending with a little downward punch is very effective. The sounds “Ho” or “Amen” used to end prayers are also examples of closing gestures. So is a firm handshake, or a little squeeze at the end of a hug. Follow this with a little wave of the hand, or a quick kiss on the trunk to complete your closing.

Sections (7), (8), and (9) above are used to intensify, slow down, and end the exercises below and can be used at any time to end your communication with your selected tree.

b. Use the Fingers to Absorb Yang Energy to Help Balance the Yin Energy (Figure 2-29)

1. Stand approximately one to two feet in front of a tree. Move slowly and smoothly, gradually approaching the tree. Feel the field of energy surrounding you become thick like honey.

2. Extend your arms out toward the tree with your palms facing the tree and your fingers extended.

3. As you slowly adjust your position to be closer and closer to the tree, less “honey” separates you from the bright energies found at its core.

4. Similarly, your own radiance is revealed to the tree.

5. At the same time the honey-like energy surrounding you acts like a protective cocoon, and your awareness of the outside world fades. As you arrive at the tree and wrap yourself around it in a big hug, your radiant energies link up with each other and you may lose yourself for a few moments in the bliss of union.

6. After making contact in this way, you may need to hold still for a while until the new, deeper connections between you and the tree stabilize and simplify. Soon you will find yourself in the state of parallel tracking described previously from which circulating and sharing will develop.

7. Feel the energy of the tree first. When you feel the tree’s Chi, use the mind, eyes, and lower part of the eyes to concentrate on the tip of the nose. The upper part of the eyes looks at the tips of the fingers and the tree.

8. Use the left fingers, the mind, and the upper part of the eyes to absorb the Chi inward.

9. Move the upper part of the eyes slowly to guide the Chi up the outside (Yang side) of the left arm, to the left shoulder, the left side of the neck, and the left ear to the crown. Move the energy down the right side beginning with the back side of the right ear, to the right neck, the right shoulder, outside the right arm, to the right palm and fingers. Project the energy out from the fingers, combine it with Cosmic Particle Energy, and guide it into the tree trunk. Absorb it again in a circle. Men repeat the cycle 36 times; women repeat the cycle 24 times. (See Figure 2-30)

10. If you wish to end the experience at this or any point, follow the procedures of (a)(7), (8), and (9) above to intensify, slow down, and finally break your connection with the tree.

The Yang Energy Circle will help you become more sensitive to chronic and more superficial pain as well as the energy in the Yang organs (large and small intestines, gall bladder, bladder, and stomach).

c. Use the Palms to Absorb Tree Chi; the Yin Side

1. Sit or stand approximately one to two feet in front of a tree.

2. Extend your arms out toward the tree with your palms facing the tree. (Figure 2-31)

3. Feel the energy of the tree first. When you feel the Chi of the tree, use your mind, eyes, and palms to absorb the Chi through your palms. Move the Chi up the inside (the Yin sides) of both arms to both shoulders, both sides of the neck, and the left and right ears, to the crown. From the crown move the energy down the Functional Channel to the mid-eyebrow, throat, heart, solar plexus, navel, and the cauldron behind the navel.

4. Continue to move the energy down from the cauldron to the perineum, to the soles of the feet, and then approximately ten feet into the ground.

5. Bring the energy up to the roots of the tree, then up into the tree trunk. Feel your energy flow through the tree, then emerge from the trunk into your palm. Repeat the cycle nine, eighteen, 24, or 36 times.

6. Practice sending your energy through the tree trunk from the right palm, through the tree, to the left palm, and from the left palm, through the tree, to the right palm. Men should practice for 36 cycles; women should practice for 24 cycles. It is most important to feel your energy penetrate the tree.

7. Practice distinguishing different parts of the tree. Start with the upper trunk. Send your energy into the trunk and feel it reverberate. Slowly kneel down to practice with the lower trunk. Then practice with the roots of the tree. Feel and exchange the force with the tree.

d. Absorb Tree Chi through the Crown

1. Stand approximately two to three feet in front of a tree with your arms at your side. Feel the tree’s aura. (Figure 2-32) If you do not feel it, you can move in closer.

2. When you feel the tree’s aura, use your crown to absorb the energy. The tree’s balanced energy can feel very gentle and soft and have a very powerful healing effect.

3. Draw the tree energy into your crown and let it flow down through the Thrusting Channels or through the Functional Channel to the perineum, then down to both feet. Move the energy out through the soles of your feet into the ground. Bring the energy from the ground to the roots of the tree, then up its trunk.

4. Feel yourself absorb the Earth Energy and the tree energy. (Figure 2-33) Feel them purify your energy, removing negativity and sick energy. When you feel it emerge from the trunk of the tree, absorb the Human Plane (Cosmic Particle) Energy, and return the energy to your crown. You will feel the combined energies nourish your brain, glands, and organs. Repeat the process nine, eighteen, or 36 times.

e. Share with the Tree from the Heart

In this pattern tree energy is run through the arms and heart center. It may be used to clear a healer’s arms of sick energy accumulated in work, or just to open the heart.

1. Assume any comfortable position in which your hands can easily reach a branch.

2. Reach one arm out to touch the tree with the palm or fingertips. Feel the vital energy just under the bark and make contact with it, allowing some time for the contact to develop.

3. After a while you will feel the sharing begin as a gentle breathing back and forth between your hand and the tree.

4. Gradually extend the process until you are breathing energy through the entire length of the arm, back and forth from your heart center to the tree. Let this back and forth sharing go on for some time.

5. Next, get the other arm involved. It may rest on the same branch, near the other hand, or it may rest on an entirely different branch.

6. Allow the tree energy to flow in along one arm, mix with your own energy in the heart center, and flow out the other arm. Every so often reverse the direction of flow in one or both arms.

7. For a deeper experience try extending the flow from the heart down to the navel, letting it go from tree to heart, to navel, and back.

8. Where does the energy go after it leaves your hands and enters the tree? By following it with your mind, you will begin to discover more about the subtle anatomy of the tree.

9. You may find blocked or congested areas that you can work on by running energy out one hand and into the other. Feel the tree’s response to your efforts, and let intuition guide you.

f. Absorb Earth Energy

1. Create warmth in your navel and bring the energy up to the crown.

2. Project the Chi out into the top of the trunk of the tree. Enter the tree and feel that you have a connection with it.

3. During this process you can stand farther away from the tree (ten to thirty feet). As your practice continues you can project your energy easily from far away into the tree. Let the tree take in your negative or sick energy. The energy you receive back will be balanced.

4. Let your energy flow down the trunk of the tree to its roots and into the Earth. (Figure 2-34) Let the Earth Energy purify your energy. Bring this combined energy up through the soles of your feet to the perineum, then up through the Thrusting Channels, or through the Governor Channel running up the spine. Let the energy flow up to the crown and project it outward again. Repeat the process nine, eighteen, or 36 times.

The more you repeat the process, the more your energy will refine and increase. You will notice the Thrusting Channels and the Microcos¬mic Orbit are cleaner and brighter. Once you have established a good connection with the tree, you can send your sick energy to the tree from a far distance to refine your energy or improve your health.

g. Meditate While Sitting Under a Tree

Once you have developed the ability to feel the tree’s Chi, you can sit under the tree and meditate. Draw the tree’s energy into you through the stations (points) of the Microcosmic Orbit. (Figure 2-35)
