The Story of Santa Claus is the story of the Magic Mushroom ! Santa Claus is the Amanita Muscaria or Fly Agaric Mushroom ! Santa's Red and White attire is symbolic of the Red and White Amanita Muscaria and it's no coincidence the flying reindeer love eating 'Fly Agaric' ... Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, and he has flying reindeer pulling his sleigh through the air. Reindeer are native to Siberia, and the shamanic use of this mushroom in Siberia is well documented. Now, I know Siberia isn't the North Pole exactly, but it's pretty close, and the earth's magnetic pole is actually shifting away from North America and towards Siberia. Christmas trees are Pine trees. Pine trees are the trees that the Amanita Muscaria grows under. They have a mycorrhizal(which basically means non-parasitic) relationship with that plant and Spruce trees. Their shiny red and white caps blooming under the tree looks very much like the tradition of placing shiny wrapped boxes under there and a lot like the red and white stockings children hang under the tree !

Why do Santa’s reindeer fly ? The role of ancient mushroom using Shamans !

by Mark Adams

These red and white mushrooms, Amanita muscaria, were found in an alpine forest around Creede, Colorado. A. muscaria was the “sacred mushroom” used by the ancient tribal peoples of pre-Christian northern Europe. Its bright coloring suggests the colors of Santa’s garments and of holiday lights.

Although most people see Christmas as a Christian holiday, most of the symbols and icons we associate with Christmas celebrations are actually derived from the shamanistic traditions of the tribal peoples of pre-Christian northern Europe.

The sacred mushroom of these people was the red and white Amanita muscaria, also known as “fly agaric.” This mushroom commonly is seen in books of fairy tales and usually is associated with magic and fairies. It contains potent hallucinogenic compounds once used by ancient peoples for insight and transcendental experiences. Most of the major elements of the modern Christmas celebration, such as Santa Claus, Christmas trees, magical reindeer and the giving of gifts, are originally based upon the traditions surrounding the harvest and consumption of this most sacred mushroom.

The World Tree

Ancient peoples, including the Lapps of modern-day Finland, and the Koyak tribes of the central Russian steppes, believed in the idea of a World Tree. The World Tree was seen as a kind of cosmic axis onto which the planes of the universe are fixed. The roots of the World Tree stretch down into the underworld, its trunk is the “middle earth” of everyday existence, and its branches reach upwards into the heavenly realm.

Amanita muscaria grows only under certain types of trees, mostly firs and evergreens. The cap of the mushroom is the fruit of the larger mycelium beneath the soil which exists in a symbiotic relationship with the roots of the tree. To ancient people, this mushroom was literally “the fruit of the tree.”

The North Star was also considered sacred, since all other stars in the sky revolved around its fixed point. They associated this “Pole Star” with the World Tree and the central axis of the universe. The top of the World Tree touched the North Star, and the spirit of the shaman would climb the metaphorical tree, thereby passing into the realm of the gods. This is the true meaning of the star on top of the modern Christmas tree, and also the reason that the super-shaman Santa makes his home at the North Pole.

Ancient peoples were amazed at how this magical mushroom sprang from the earth without any visible seed. They considered this “virgin birth” to have been the result of the morning dew, which was seen as the “semen of the deity.” The silver tinsel we drape onto our modern Christmas tree represents this divine fluid.

The active ingredients of A. muscaria are not metabolized by the body, and so they remain active in the urine. In fact, it is safer to drink the urine of one who has consumed the mushroom than to eat the mushroom directly, as many of the toxic compounds are processed and eliminated on the first pass through the body.

It was common practice among ancient people to recycle the potent effects of the mushroom by drinking each other’s urine. The mushroom’s ingredients can remain potent even after six passes through the human body. Some scholars argue that this is the origin of the phrase “to get pissed,” as this urine-drinking activity preceded alcohol by thousands of years.

Reindeer were the sacred animals of these semi-nomadic people, as the reindeer provided food, shelter, clothing and other necessities. Reindeer are also fond of eating the mushroom; they will seek it out, then prance about while under its influence. Often the urine of tripped-out reindeer would be consumed for its psychedelic effects.

This effect goes the other way too, as reindeer also enjoy the urine of a human, especially one who has consumed the mushroom. In fact, reindeer will seek out human urine to drink, and some tribesmen carry sealskin containers of their own collected piss, which they use to attract stray reindeer back into the herd.

Legend of the flying reindeer and modern image of Santa

The effects of the A. muscaria usually include sensations of size distortion and flying. The feeling of flying could account for the legends of flying reindeer and legends of shamanic journeys included stories of winged reindeer, transporting their riders up to the highest branches of the World Tree.

Although the modern image of Santa Claus was created at least in part by the advertising department of Coca-Cola, in truth his appearance, clothing, mannerisms and companions all mark him as the reincarnation of these ancient mushroom-gathering shamans.

One of the side effects of eating A. muscaria is that one’s skin and facial features take on a flushed, ruddy glow. This is why Santa is always shown with glowing red cheeks and nose. Even Santa’s jolly “Ho, ho, ho!” is the euphoric laugh of one who has indulged in the magic fungus.

Santa also dresses like a mushroom gatherer. When it was time to go out and harvest the magical mushroom, the ancient shamans would dress much like Santa, wearing red and white fur-trimmed coats and long black boots. These peoples lived in dwellings made of birch and reindeer hide, called “yurts.” Somewhat similar to a tee-pee, the yurt’s central smoke-hole is often also used as an entrance. After gathering the mushroom from under the sacred trees where they appeared, the shamans would fill their sacks and return home. Climbing down the chimney-entrances, they would share out the mushroom’s gifts with those within.

The mushroom needs to be dried before being consumed; the drying process reduces the mushroom’s toxicity while increasing its potency. The shaman would guide the group in stringing the mushrooms they gathered and hanging them around the hearth-fire to dry. This tradition is echoed in the modern stringing of popcorn and other items.

The psychedelic journeys taken under the influence of the amanita were also symbolized by a stick reaching up through the smoke-hole in the top of the yurt. The smoke-hole was the portal where the spirit of the shaman exited the physical plane.

Santa’s famous magical journey, where his sleigh takes him around the whole planet in a single night, is developed from the “heavenly chariot”, used by the gods from whom Santa and other shamanic figures are descended. The chariot of Odin, Thor and even the Egyptian god Osiris is now known as the Big Dipper, which circles around the North Star in a 24-hour period.

In different versions of the ancient story, the chariot was pulled by reindeer or horses. As the animals grew exhausted, their mingled spit and blood falls to the ground, forming the mushrooms.

Saint Nicholas is a legendary figure who supposedly lived during the fourth century. His cult spread quickly and Nicholas became the patron saint of many varied groups, including judges, pawnbrokers, criminals, merchants, sailors, bakers, travelers, the poor, and children.

Most religious historians agree that St Nicholas did not actually exist as a real person but was instead a Christianized version of earlier Pagan gods. Nicholas’ legends were mainly created out of stories about the Teutonic god called Hold Nickar, known as Poseidon to the Greeks. This powerful sea god was known to gallop through the sky during the winter solstice, granting boons to his worshippers below.

When the Catholic Church created the character of St Nicholas, they took his name from “Nickar” and gave him Poseidon’s title of “the Sailor.” There are thousands of churches named in St Nicholas’ honor, most of which were converted from temples to Poseidon and Hold Nickar. (As the ancient pagan deities were demonized by the Christian church, Hold Nickar’s name also became associated with Satan, known as “Old Nick!”)

Local traditions were incorporated into the new Christian holidays to make them more acceptable to the new converts. To these early Christians, Saint Nicholas became a sort of “super-shaman” who was overlaid upon their own shamanic cultural practices. Many images of Saint Nicholas from these early times show him wearing red and white, or standing in front of a red background with white spots, the design of the mushroom.

St Nicholas also adopted some of the qualities of the legendary “Grandmother Befana” from Italy, who filled children’s stockings with gifts. Her shrine at Bari, Italy, became a shrine to St Nicholas.

True spirit of Christmas

By better understanding the truths within these popular celebrations, we can better understand the modern world, and our place in it.

Many people in the modern world have rejected Christmas as being too commercial, claiming that this ritual of giving is actually a celebration of materialism and greed. Yet the true spirit of this winter festival lies not in the exchange of plastic toys, but in celebrating a gift from the earth: the fruiting top of a magical mushroom, and the revelatory experiences it can provide.

Instead of perpetuating outdated and confusing holiday myths, it might be more fulfilling to return to the original source of these seasonal celebrations. How about getting back to basics and enjoying some magical mushrooms with your loved ones this holiday season? What better gift can a family share than a little piece of love and enlightenment?

Nederlands, one of the most liberal countries when it comes to drug laws is tightening the noose on the sale of Magic Mushrooms starting 1st of December 2008. According to a study published in January by Amsterdam’s health services, the city’s emergency services were summoned 148 times to deal with a bad reaction to mushrooms in 2004-2006 of those 134 were foreigners, with Britons forming the largest group. 92% of the incidents related to Magic Mushrooms were due to Foreign Tourists.

The death of a 17 year old French girl who jumped from a bridge in Amsterdam in March of this year after consuming mushrooms, brought the drug to the attention of the parliament. The incident led to a motion approved by a parliament majority to prohibit fresh mushrooms. The fractions of CDA, VVD, CU and PVV repeated that point of view after it was made public that a French tourist in Amsterdam had killed his dog "under the influence of mushrooms". Later an investigation by a GGD psychiatrist revealed that his act had probably nothing to to do with the use of mushrooms, like in case of the 17 year old French girl who is said to have had a history of psychological issues !

The proposed ban comes as a nasty shock to the smart shop owners who market these shrooms and are said to sell about 500,000 dozes in the Netherlands annually. They remain opposed to the ban as do most people who know prohibition of any drug is never a good idea instead organizing drug awareness campaigns and ensuring an age limit on the buyer, also limiting the smart shops that market these substances should keep things in perspective and less chaotic. Another health report published in January 2007 said that while alcohol consumption led to 2,050 incidents in 2005, magic mushrooms had caused only 70.

Marjan Heuving, a spokeswoman for the country’s Trimbos Institute, a drug policy think-tank, said mushrooms are not toxic and themselves pose no physical risk to users.

But she agreed that people’s reaction to them is unpredictable, depending on factors such as weight; how much food they have eaten recently; their past drug experience; psychological health; and the setting in which they are taken.

“The main danger to the user is that he will somehow hurt himself,” she said. “I should add that that’s extremely rare.”

The Shamans or Medicine Men of the Ecuadorian rain forests know a world where everything is conscious and spirituality takes a whole new meaning altogether when the Shaman embarks on his Vision Quest into the spirit world. The psychedelic experience produced by the ritualistic use of hallucinogenic plants threatens to awaken the masses from their materialistic fervor and change their world view which goes against the Globalization motto of the western world. Hence, DMT the active ingredient of the Ayahuasca brew used by natives of the Amazon forest for thousands of years is labeled an illegal substance under the Schedule 1 category.

Shamans of the Amazon

'Shamans of the Amazon' is by far the best film yet made on Ayahuasca and Amazonian Shamanism. - Ralph Metzner PhD California Institute of Integral Studies. An informative and compelling exploration of Shamanic use of Ayahuasca the extraordinary visionary brew. - Rick Strassman MD author DMT: The Spirit Molecule.

"Human Future will be designed on how conscious we will be able to make ourselves and if there are plants that can accelerate consciousness then we must seek out and utilize these things. Something could jump out of some unexpected dimension and change everything."

- Terrence McKenna.

In a time when indigenous people their culture and the natural environment are experiencing dramatic changes this in-depth series of programs examine what these SHAMANS OF THE AMAZON their hallucinogenic rituals and their special relationship with nature have to offer humanity at this crucial time in history.

Discover how westerners around the world are using Ayahuasca and other Shamanic plants to receive knowledge to understand their relationship with nature and to seek visions of how best to deal with deep personal spiritual and environmental questions. In a \"say no to drugs\" era there is a new subculture emerging based on an ancient ritual of hallucinogenic plant use.

Here are some classic documentaries on Amazonian Shamanism :

Jan Kounen's Other Worlds : Ayahuasca Documentary

Other Worlds, Directed by Jan Kounen as a companion piece of sorts to his 2004 'cowboy-shaman film' Blueberry (also titled Renegade), the film has real impact because it not only shows the journey into shamanism, but uses plenty of CGI to try and show what the visionary shamanic experience is like (as opposed to many documentaries which simply show the experiencer puking).

Another excellent aspect of Other Worlds is that many experts , researchers and commentators are interviewed. Included in the documentary are DMT researcher Rick Strassman, psychedelics researcher Charles Grob, and numerous others including Stan Grof, Jeremy Narby, Alex Grey and Pablo Amaringo. For anyone interested in these topics, this is a must watch (although be advised, there are some disturbing scenes for the faint-hearted, such as the killing of a pig, as well as plenty of puking).

We have an ego based personality and we have our soul which resides deep within, which is pure energy, some call it the higher self. As we progress on the path of awakening, we overcome the ego and let the soul within guide us through difficult times. A place of Love is where the soul dwells and it knows no fear. The ego brings to the human experience, pain and suffering of a splintered personality that needs healing. We can choose not to live unconsciously letting our egos come in the way of evolution of consciousness which is why we are all here !

Dr.Wayne W. Dyer suggests seven ways to transcend the ingrained ideas of an all important ego self ....

1. Stop being offended.

The behavior of others isn’t a reason to be immobilized. That which offends you only weakens you. If you’re looking for occasions to be offended, you’ll find them at every turn. This is your ego at work convincing you that the world shouldn't be the way it is. But you can become an appreciator of life and match up with the universal Spirit of Creation. You can’t reach the power of intention by being offended. By all means, act to eradicate the horrors of the world, which emanate from massive ego identification, but stay in peace. As A Course in Miracles reminds us: Peace is of God, you who are part of God are not at home except in his peace. Being is of God, you who are part of God are not at home except in his peace. Being offended creates the same destructive energy that offended you in the first place and leads to attack, counterattack, and war.

2. Let go of your need to win.

Ego loves to divide us up into winners and losers. The pursuit of winning is a surefire means to avoid conscious contact with intention. Why? Because ultimately, winning is impossible all of the time. Someone out there will be faster, luckier, younger, stronger, and smarter-and back you’ll go to feeling worthless and insignificant.

You’re not your winnings or your victories. You may enjoy competing, and have fun in a world where winning is everything, but you don’t have to be there in your thoughts. There are no losers in a world where we all share the same energy source. All you can say on a given day is that you performed at a certain level in comparison to the levels of others on that day. But today is another day, with other competitors and new circumstances to consider. You’re still the infinite presence in a body that’s another day (or decade) older. Let go of needing to win by not agreeing that the opposite of winning is losing. That’s ego’s fear. If your body isn’t performing in a winning fashion on this day, it simply doesn’t matter when you aren’t identifying exclusively with your ego. Be the observer, noticing and enjoying it all without needing to win a trophy. Be at peace, and match up with the energy of intention. And ironically, although you’ll hardly notice it, more of those victories will show up in your life as you pursue them less.

3. Let go of your need to be right.

Ego is the source of a lot of conflict and dissension because it pushes you in the direction of making other people wrong. When you’re hostile, you’ve disconnected from the power of intention. The creative Spirit is kind, loving, and receptive; and free of anger, resentment, or bitterness. Letting go of your need to be right in your discussions and relationships is like saying to ego, I’m not a slave to you. I want to embrace kindness, and I reject your need to be right. In fact, I’m going to offer this person a chance to feel better by saying that she’s right, and thank her for pointing me in the direction of truth.

When you let go of the need to be right, you’re able to strengthen your connection to the power of intention. But keep in mind that ego is a determined combatant. I’ve seen people end otherwise beautiful relationships by sticking to their need to be right. I urge you to let go of this ego-driven need to be right by stopping yourself in the middle of an argument and asking yourself, Do I want to be right or be happy? When you choose the happy, loving, spiritual mood, your connection to intention is strengthened. These moments ultimately expand your new connection to the power of intention. The universal Source will begin to collaborate with you in creating the life you were intended to live.

4. Let go of your need to be superior.

True nobility isn’t about being better than someone else. It’s about being better than you used to be. Stay focused on your growth, with a constant awareness that no one on this planet is any better than anyone else. We all emanate from the same creative life force. We all have a mission to realize our intended essence; all that we need to fulfill our destiny is available to us. None of this is possible when you see yourself as superior to others. It’s an old saw, but nonetheless true: we are all equal in the eyes of God. Let go of your need to feel superior by seeing the unfolding of God in everyone. Don’t assess others on the basis of their appearance, achievements, possessions, and other indices of ego. When you project feelings of superiority that’s what you get back, leading to resentments and ultimately hostile feelings. These feelings become the vehicle that takes you farther away from intention. A Course in Miracles addresses this need to be special and superior: Special ness always makes comparisons. It is established by a lack seen in another, and maintained by searching for, and keeping clear in sight, all lacks it can perceive.

5. Let go of your need to have more.

The mantra of ego is more. It’s never satisfied. No matter how much you achieve or acquire, your ego will insist that it isn’t enough. You’ll find yourself in a perpetual state of striving, and eliminate the possibility of ever arriving. Yet in reality you’ve already arrived, and how you choose to use this present moment of your life is your choice. Ironically, when you stop needing more, more of what you desire seems to arrive in your life. Since you’re detached from the need for it, you find it easier to pass it along to others, because you realize how little you need in order to be satisfied and at peace.

The universal Source is content with itself, constantly expanding and creating new life, never trying to hold on to its creations for its own selfish means. It creates and lets go. As you let go of ego’s need to have more, you unify with that Source. You create, attract to yourself, and let it go, never demanding that more come your way. As an appreciator of all that shows up, you learn the powerful lesson St.Francis of Assisi taught:”…it is in giving that we receive.” By allowing abundance to flow to and through you, you match up with your Source and guarantee that this energy will continue to flow.

6. Let go of identifying yourself on the basis of your achievements.

This may be a difficult concept if you think you are your achievements. God writes all the music, God sings all the songs, God builds all the buildings, God is the source of all your achievements. I can hear your ego loudly protesting. Nevertheless, stay tuned to this idea. All emanates from Source! You and that Source are one! You’re not this body and its accomplishments. You are the observer. Notice it all; and be grateful for the abilities you’ve accumulated. But give all the credit to the power of intention, which brought you into existence and which you’re a materialized part of. The less you need to take credit for your achievements and the more connected you stay to the seven faces of intention, the more you’re free to achieve, and the more will show up for you. It’s when you attach yourself to those achievements and believe that you alone are doing all of those things that you leave the peace and the gratitude of your Source.

7. Let go of your reputation.

Your reputation is not located in you. It resides in the minds of others. Therefore, you have no control over it at all. If you speak to 30 people, you will have 30 reputations. Connecting to intention means listening to your heart and conducting yourself based on what your inner voice tells you is your purpose here. If you’re overly concerned with how you’re going to be perceived by everyone, then you’ve disconnected yourself from intention and allowed the opinions of others to guide you. This is your ego at work. It’s an illusion that stands between you and the power of intention. There’s nothing you can’t do, unless you disconnect from the power source and become convinced that your purpose is to prove to others how masterful and superior you are and spend your energy attempting to win a giant reputation among other egos. Do what you do because your inner voice always connected to and grateful to your Source-so directs you. Stay on purpose, detach from outcome, and take responsibility for what does reside in you: your character. Leave your reputation for others to debate; it has nothing to do with you. Or as a book title says: What You Think of Me Is None of My Business!

Anoushka Shankar daughter of the legendary Sitar virtuoso, Pandit Ravi Shankar is embarking on a musical odyssey along with Jethro Tull celebrating their 40th Anniversary, their music defies a genre based classification. From blues, folk rock, progressive rock and jazz influences to touches of Far Eastern sounds (to name just a few), Tull's music is not easily sorted into a defined genre.

Ian Anderson speaks about the 40th Anniversary Tour ...

The 40th Anniversary of Jethro Tull is upon us in February 2008. Having initially thought that it was all best avoided in any reference to our upcoming concert tours, I slowly changed my mind after chatting to the others in the band and to some of the fans. Now I have agreed that we will celebrate the tours with a full laser light show, a dancing troupe of honed and bronzed young men fresh from the Madonna boudoir, 60 foot inflatable flute-phallus on stage, Chinese acrobats and fireworks nightly – and – live prostate examinations for lucky competition-winners during the concert intermission.

OK – I exaggerate: there will be a little 40-year awareness spread lovingly but discretely for at least the UK tours with the occasional invited guest and some production and lighting references to the “Old Days”. The set-list will be chosen mainly from the first three albums with a few bits and pieces from a little later. Songs and tunes which defined the early Jethro Tull from blues band to eclectic, pre-prog inventiveness.

But it would hardly be appropriate for old Sourpuss and his cohorts to give too much credence to birthday bashes in this sense. I, personally, look forward much more to celebrating the 41st anniversary.

In this upcoming year of 2008, we have plans to visit a few less places than last year. I already have some time set aside for studio work and lazing about in the garden.

But there are already some 70 shows in place between April and end of August, just waiting for the first week of January to go by so that the various promoters can return from skiing their buttocks off and back to their offices to begin the grim task of signing their lives and homes away on the dotted line of contractual commitment. Watch for more dates to go on this website in the upcoming weeks.

" (|||) " is a documentary based on the spiritual roots of the trance dance experience. The movie speaks about how post modern era 'Psychedelic Shamanism' and the Electronic Dance Movement Culture have heralded the birth of a new age consciousness. The film covers everything from the emergence of House Music, to alleged contact with aliens. Interestingly enough, the film doesn’t have a name, it is instead going by a mathematical, almost metaphysical interpretive symbol (|||) !

“This culture has encountered problems with terminology and what to call itself. These experiences are beyond language, and should be in a place where it’s kept open-sourced.”
(|||) is an ethhnographic documentary film that investigates the spiritual and metaphysical dimensions of electronic dance music culture. The film describes the relationship between music and consciousness, the metaphysics of mythology, and a spiritual experience found by so many on the dance floor. Through this investigation, (|||) creates an epic visual ethnography of the culture that has emerged from a technology of the imagination. The film also reveals how all of this information coincides with our planet’s alignment with the center of the galaxy on December 21, 2012, investigating why the culture is preparing for a massive synchronized party on that date.

What Director Jeronimo has to say about (|||) ...

"What began as a school project several years ago has led me on one of the longest, most epic adventures I could have ever dreamed of experiencing. I had always had a deep curiosity of Rave culture after witnessing a close friend become entirely transformed after attending an “underground” party. With a strong background in science fiction, I began this documentary as a fictional piece and through my initial research discovered the information I was “making up” about rave culture was actually true. Since this discovery I have dedicated my educational career to researching the metaphysical and mystical dimensions of electronic dance music culture."

"When I began my field research I discovered a new mythology and collective mysticism permeated this nascent global culture and offered a remarkable opportunity for observing the nature of the collective human imagination. What I discovered on the dance floor at these events changed my life as it has so many others. It was altogether inspiring for me to discover a culture based on this self-altering principle that is triggered by an experience that has been practiced by shamans since the beginning of human history. I hope that the inspiration and passion I received from my experience with this culture will prevail through this film, and that I may offer as much of the beauty of that ‘moment of oneness’ we all have in the music to those who have yet to experience it."

Supported by a dynamic transmedia and global marketing campaign, (|||) will be making a sneak-peek debut at electronic music festivals all over the world this summer, before making its official emergence to the public eye in the fall.

You can request a screening at your event here .

It has been designed with musicians and VJ artists into an ‘experience’ with one section of the film utilizing a hard-hitting baseline and hypnotic visual effects to recreate the trance experience for those in the theaters. The film is due to circulate parties and festivals all over the world before it is released to the general public on the big screen. Just watch for the symbol... (|||)

Join a journey to retrace the eye-opening explorations and mind-bending discoveries of modern-day adventurer and scientist Richard Evans Schultes.

Based on the groundbreaking discoveries of revolutionary ethno-botanist Richard Evans Schultes.

  • Two hour documentary filmed on location in five different countries.

  • Host Wade Davis, Schulte's protégé, is a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence.

  • Learn the secrets of shamans and medicine men. Retrace the thrilling explorations that revealed their ancient knowledge to the developed world. Sit at the knee of the man who brought their wisdom out of the jungle.

In the 40s and 50s, when the Amazon was still a deeply mysterious, untracked region, Richard Evans Schultes followed the guidance of native experts — tribal healers, shamans, mystics — to find botanical treasure. For months at a time he combed the jungle, collecting thousands of samples and discovering plants unknown to the modern world, many of which produced fantastic chemical compounds with strong effects on our bodies... and our minds.

In this ambitious feature-length documentary, renowned botanist, explorer and author Wade Davis ("The Serpent and the Rainbow") reconstructs the travels and discoveries of his great mentor Schulte, the Father of Ethnobotany.

Our associations with psychedelics, the hippies, raves, and seamier drug culture, ignore the ancient legacy and cultural significance of hallucinogenic substances and other plant-derived medicines. PEYOTE TO LSD journeys from native ceremonies to laboratories in Switzerland exploring the evolution of psychedelic substances from sacred plants to modern psychotropics. Legendary writers, musicians and Beat Poets offer insight into the counterculture and mainstream influence of botanical compounds.

PEYOTE TO LSD takes you around the globe, through the jungles and deep into the human mind. What a trip!

The uncountable number of Orbs that appear in the photographs taken at conferences held at the Ranch and the videos which show Orbs, UFOs and Flying Rods thanks to the IR cameras are evidence enough for the skeptic to get thinking ...

Here's a really amazing video of Orbs flying all over the ECETI ranch where a small group of skywatchers are camping. People are singing, dancing, having a good time ... so are the Orbs :)

Something more about the ECETI ranch from the Official ECETI Website ...

An unprecedented event is unfolding in a small town known as Trout Lake, Washington. This event has the potential to change the course and destiny of Humanity and the Earth. The people of Earth are being offered a chance to join the rest of the universe in peace.

The technologies to end disease, clean up and restore the environment, fuel-less energy technologies, and the virtual keys to Utopia have been disseminated and are waiting for distribution and production. A whole new world is unfolding for those with the courage to accept it.

C5 Contact with spiritually and technologically advanced extra and ultra terrestrial off world visitors which we refer to as the greater family of man has occurred at the home of James Gilliland, known as the Sattva Sanctuary. ABC, Fox News, The History Channel, Evening Magazine, and other cable channels too numerous to mention have covered the ongoing contacts at the Sanctuary. Radio shows such as Coast to Coast AM with George Noory & Art Bell, Jeff Rense and many others have all covered this incredible verifiable event.

Ultradimensional Contact during the skywatch at the 2006 Science, Spirit and World Transformation Conference. Many miracle healings occurred to campers in the field that night.

There have been thousands of eyewitnesses, some of which are prominent scientists and physicists. Astro, nuclear, bio and plasma physicists have all witnessed these events. Aerospace, Air force design engineers, professional photographers and investigators from around the world have come to observe the ongoing UFO activity at the Sanctuary.

There is a long history of UFO sightings in the area going back as far as a hundreds of years in Native American Lore.

Kenneth Arnold who coined the word flying saucers in his 1947 report said he lost sight of the luminous discs as they descended on the western slopes of Mt Adams.

Trout Lake, now internationally known as a UFO hot spot, is located at the base of Mt. Adams.

Dr J. Allen Hynek, Greg Long, Bill Voguel, David Ackers and many other investigators have documented a long history of UFO activity covering events from contacts, sightings of metallic craft and large luminous objects which are inquisitive, follow vehicles and demonstrate themselves to be under intelligent control.

Within these reports were sightings by fire tower operators, forest rangers, and local police. People from all walks of life have, and are continuing to come to witness the ongoing events.

CSETI with Dr Steven Greer, PSI Application with Steve Mareno and two other independent groups were all present when, not one, but four immense triangle ships flew over the Sanctuary along with other brilliant UFOs all of which were filmed by multiple witnesses.

There are large volumes of photos and literally hours of footage of ships hovering, taking off at break neck speeds, making right angle turns, throwing off tremendous energies expanding to several times their original size and responding to the people below showing they are under definite intelligent control.

The evidence is in showing beyond a shadow of a doubt UFOs are real and ongoing contact is unfolding at the Sanctuary.

The purpose of these contacts is threefold. The first phase is to document the events and establish public awareness which is almost complete.

The second phase is to rise to the occasion training ambassadors of peace to inter-phase with these benevolent off world visitors and secure a military stand down. In the interest of national security and common sense it is wise to align with those of superior technology in peace as allies rather than greet them with aggression. Despite the Hollywood movies any conflict with off world visitors with the capability of interstellar, inter-dimensional and time travel would be a very arrogant and unwise decision. UFOs have a long deep rooted presence in the history of Earth and if they were going to conquer, destroy or consider us fine dining it would have happened long ago.

The last phase is to create a template, a Galactic Exchange Center like none other where full inter-phase and exchange of wisdom and technologies can occur. This sharing or inter-phase will assist humanity in a quantum leap in evolution thus joining the rest of the universe, the greater family of man in a bold new adventure.

The Age of Aquarius is here. Love, compassion and service to Humanity and the Earth are now a prerequisite if we are going to continue in our evolutionary process. It is time to live in peace and harmony with each other, our environment and the greater family of man throughout the multiverses.

Enlightened Contact with Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence continues .... here ! A small excerpt from the continuation ...

"The Sanctuary is on what's known as a vortex with a near by portal which makes easy access for contact. The higher consciousness and energy here attracts other spiritually and technologically advanced beings which aids in the awakening and healing process. The contacts are telepathic in nature followed by the undeniable presence and sighting of their ships. It usually begins with the feeling of a powerful and loving presence. The crown of the head and "third eye" feel a pressure indicating their presence and then all one has to do is look up. Many also hear a ringing in their ears which is high frequency communication, guidance from on high fed directly to the subconscious mind surfacing later as needed."

Alex Grey too joins in with his artistic rendition in hope of the change Barack Obama could bring to the World as the President of the United States of America. We hope he sets a good example of honesty and service in the best interest of humanity and Planet Earth ! Alex Grey paints Barack Obama !

    OBAMA
    Anatomy of a World Leader
    by Alex Grey

After hearing Barack Obama's speech in BerIin, and noting the degree of excitement and hope that he generated throughout many countries besides the US, I started to see him as one of the first true "world leaders." This may be partly because of his extraordinary childhood and political life that has bridged many cultures. Obama's restraint and intelligence, exhibited as foes were bating him throughout the campaign, his heartful clarity coming through in his talks are all qualities of a highly evolved person.

We need to consider our planetary citizenship, because solving the world's ecological and economic problems, and creating a culture of peace and reconciliation will require the co-operation of all nations.

Perhaps you can use this symbol of Barack Obama to send him a prayer of support, to send all the loving hopeful healing and creative energy that we can focus on him so that he can perform the task of leadership in the most effective and powerful way for the greatest good, for the greatest number.

The name Hopi is a shortened form of Hopituh Shi-nu-mu, "The Peaceful People" or "Peaceful Little Ones" ... Here is a message from the Hopi Elders about 2012 ...

You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour.
Now you must go back and tell the people that this is The Hour.

Here are the things that must be considered:

    Where are you living?
    What are you doing?
    What are your relationships?
    Are you in right relation?
    Where is your water?
    Know our garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
    Create your community.
    Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader.

This could be a good time!

There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel like they are being torn apart, and they will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination.

The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off toward the middle of
the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.

See who is there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all
ourselves ! For the moment we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time of the lonely wolf is over.
    Gather yourselves!

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we have been waiting for !

Goa emerged on the world scene back in the 60's with the 'Hippie Movement' which brought the western world to the beaches of Anjuna. Composed mostly of white teenagers and young adults between the ages of 15 and 25 years old, hippies inherited a tradition of cultural dissent from bohemians and beatniks of the Beat Generation in the late 1950s. Stories of Freaks in Goa and a slowly building counter culture made some enthusiasts hop onto an overland Bus leaving for Goa all the way from Europe (Greece). Disillusioned, disenchanted preferring an altered state of consciousness to the collective illusion the world embraces as 'Reality', they found home under the palm trees of Goa.

Staying in Goa was extremely affordable then and to the Hippies, money was always just a means to an end. They stayed and stayed and stayed even longer ... the community doubled, tripled, increased exponentially in very little time. So began a long ongoing chapter in the history of the psychedelic culture spawning a whole new generation into an alternate reality, a different world where anything was possible and all boundaries dissolved.

This is just one of the many ways of telling the story of Goa, the Hippies, the Freaks and a generation of hipsters being exposed to a plethora of substances which dramatically alter ones perception of the world and the nature of reality. This is where it starts to get a little chaotic as in those days there was little or no drug awareness among the users. People began experimenting with all kinds of potentially damaging substances namely Heroin & Cocaine with little or no understanding of it's effect on the mind, the body and the soul ! To support their needs and addictions, some Hippies began smuggling Drugs all the way to Europe and America for a good price, enough to help them sustain their erratic lifestyles and keep moving back and forth till sanity stays alongside, watching closely what's going on ! Those days, Hippies could be seen walking along the beaches of Arambol, Anjuna or Vagator sporting their birthday suits, openly having sex with their respective lovers or indulging in orgies while the music played on in the background. The Freak capital had become a twisted saga of Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll ... The BoOmers were on a crescendo !

Over the years, as capitalism and globalization began making in roads everywhere, the locals and the Goan Government started to become increasingly less tolerant toward the Hippie attitude as it conflicts with the ethics and lifestyles of modern day society. The authorities were now coming on strongly against Nudism, Drugs and Loud Music being played around residential areas late into the night. Some Hippies hence chose the path of reform and got back to the regular city lifestyle and a day job, some became Sadhus and Sanyasis and some stayed back and are still seen dancing around the shacks of South Anjuna, namely Curlies and Shiva Valley. If you ever get a chance to speak to some of these willing old timers, you would know they have a whole lot to talk about and for good reason. With the slow death of the "Hippie Era", Goa's reputation as the Freak Capital never diminished, but evolved into the Monsterattes we see on News Channels and read about in the newspapers. Irresponsible use of drugs and sexual predation are closely linked in the darkness of our present times and it's only we who can change this and turn things around in a new direction we collectively envision.

A place once known by some as paradise, Goa today is over crowded with people from almost everywhere on this planet ! Mostly from other Indian states making there annual pilgrimage to Baga & Calangute checking out the scantily clad women folk and drinking unimaginable quantities of easily affordable alcohol while dangerously gyrating to electronic music they have never heard of. With this ever increasing population of seasonal tourists pouring into Goa each year, the crowd has literally overflowed into the once peaceful sanctuaries of Morjem, Vagator and Anjuna. As a result what we have here is a Van full of tourists at the junction, right before you take the left for the Flea Market looking for directions to any place where a party is happening. When told about Curlies from where we'd just left a FULL ON scene, heading toward Bamboo Forest, the boys say, "There was some weird electronic music going on there dude" .... so we promptly pointed toward the road heading back to Baga / Calangute. Hopefully, they found a place to hang-out where they didn't feel as alienated ! :)

This was 2 years ago, when Bamboo Forest was still on. Thanks to the residents living close to the mystical Bamboo Forest who are 'deeply disturbed' by nonstop loud music playing for long hours. Hilltop & 9 Bar, UV Bar, Shiva Valley are one of the few places where you get to see some major parties happening. If you have seen "Last Hippie Standing" you would remember a local expressing his valued opinion on the psychedelic trance music scene of Anjuna ...

He says, "170 beats per minute, it's CRAAAAAZZZZYYY !

The essence of Goa lies in the outdoors and any party / gathering / event organized in the limited confines of a man made shelter remains limited. The elements of nature most of us seem withdrawn from (sitting cozily on our bean bags, slouching lazily in our arm chairs) need to be simply reconnected with ! We need to strengthen our eternal connection with all that is ! With a little expansion of our limited awareness and taking responsibility of ourselves we can begin to create a better Goa we will live to see. People keep talking about what Goa used to be and what it has become today and all this talking isn't quite moving the psychedelic bandwagon any forward but looping it endlessly much to the annoyance of the free thinker and the world which needs a breath of fresh air, a much awaited change in the monotony of routine and chaos. What can we do ? We can revisit the basics of P.L.U.R, truly understand what it means and be the change we wish to see in the world. Not be silent spectators to injustice and misdemeanor of any kind.

Start Here & NOW .. forgive & allow ... leave the past behind, Goa is not a place, it's a state of mind !

    This is Goa :D
